A recent trip to Rotterdam saw me with my good friends Zach and Loek take a little cycling and walking tour to see some of the hidden gems this city has to offer. Here are some of the highlights:
The Witte Huis or White House was the tallest building in Rotterdam and Europe's first skyscraper when it was built in 1898. It is one of the few buildings in the city to survive the German bombardments of 14 May 1940, and is a Rijksmonument which is included on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
Officially called the Koningshaven Bridge, De Hef is a vertical-lift bridge over the Koningshaven (Kings Harbor) channel at the port of Rotterdam. Built in 1927, the bridge was part of the Breda-Rotterdam railway line until it was decommissioned in 1993. Today, it is a Rijksmonument industrial heritage site.
Most notably, divers would jump from the bridge as it was raised at higher and higher points. This stopped in 1933 when a diver died during their attempt.
With the opening of the Willems Railway Tunnel in 1994, the elevated section of through the centre of Rotterdam became redundant. The railway viaducts and the old Willems Railway Bridge over the Nieuwe Maas were demolished, leaving only the lifting bridge De Hef over the Koningshaven.
About 75,000 vehicles and about 4,500 cyclists still use the Maastunnel tunnel daily. It was the first immersed road tunnel in the world with a rectangular cross-section, constructed in reinforced concrete.
Pieter Droogleever Fortuyn was the Mayor of Rotterdam 1928-1938. Under his mayorship, various major works were also completed, such as the construction of the current Feyenoord F.C. stadium De Kuip. Fortuyn also contributed to the improvement of the cross-river connection through of the Maastunnel. He was one of the founders of what would later become the Royal Dutch Football Association (KNVB), for which he served as a chairman in 1892-93.

How nice to see Rotterdam! Thank you. With a bicycle on the escalator: just turn the front wheel 90 degrees, and the bike simply holds itself.

I hope this message finds you well! I'm reaching out because I've been following your
incredible content on UA-cam and I'm truly impressed by the quality of your channel.
As a follower of your UA-cam channel, I've noticed some areas where
there could be opportunities for improvement to further elevate your content and
engage your audience even more effectively.
Here are a few key points I'd like to highlight:
    1. Limited Audience Interaction
    2. Unoptimized Thumbnails and Titles
    3. Neglecting SEO and Metadata
    4. Inadequate Promotion and Marketing
    5. Ignoring Analytics Insights
Addressing these areas could help take your channel to new heights and enhance
your overall success. If you're interested in discussing strategies for improvement or
exploring potential collaborations to support your channel growth, I'd be more than
    happy to assist.
