Kent, I made 33 of these for my airline maintenance crew. 100 % loved by everyone. 1st time cooking and nailed it. Gotta use bacon grease on skins and I added crumbled bacon on top after cheese.

We had a mini schnauzer growing up, that dog was so stubborn and independent. I used to take him out in the woods with me. We were hiking and came to a steep rock section, I went to pick him up to get him over it, he backed away and ran up and around the rock section and stood on top looking down at me! It was hilarious

Thanks again you all. It's not like most of us haven't made a loaded baked potato before. But I always love the spin that you put on most all your dishes, and it just sticks that idea right there in your head so that next time you're trying to figure something out for dinner or a side you've got something like this already in your head. Love your videos and God bless you both!!!

Very nice! And thank you for not using any pork/juices as I don't eat pork. On another point, in a survival type mode, when I was 15 yrs old, I went pack-packing with my buddies into the mountains for 6 miles. We carried steak and potatoes as well as other condiments - butter and spices and such (70 lb packs). Anyway, I had no clue at the time, but my buddy's older brother taught me how to cook a baked potato while camping. Here is what we did... We salt-rubbed the potatoes and then wrapped them in foil. Dug a 6 inch hole in the soil and placed them in the hole and covered them up with the dirt. Then, made a wood fire on top and cooked our steaks n peppers. Once done, we ate the steaks and 60 mins later, dug out the tators and wah-lah, the best creamy baked tators ever! I will never forget, especially if I'm in need of survivor mode. Great video though!

I tried this last night and my husband and I loved them. I substituted sausage cooked with onions and garlic for the steak (no steak handy) and it worked great. Our 'taters looked pathetic compared to your giant ones, but they were still good. We love watching your videos.

I like to drizzle garlic infused olive oil on the potatoes and add a generous amount of kosher salt. Out them in my air fryer @400° for 1 hr. The skin will crisp up nicely. I made 2 with pulled pork the other night and it was amazing.

I've seen at some restaurants or eating places they put BBQ beef, pork, or chicken on their baked potatoes like Rib Crib and Swadleys and they sound great and delicious. I've put chili all over my baked potatoes and their very good and bacon bits and butter before the chili. What you got Kent sounds delicious with the steak in the potatoes. 🥔

i made my own twist on this today! nice crispy potato, i cooked my steak in the sous vide, along with freshly cut jalapenos that i added to the sous vide bag so they'd flavor the steak, and the steak in turn would flavor them. took the steak out and gave it a quick sear in some ghee, then turned that ghee and the steak drippings from the sous vide bag into a roux, then turned that into bechamel with some chipotle cheddar cheese. it was fan-freakin-tastic! the jalapenos still had a nice crunch to them, despite being in the sous vide for almost 2 hours.

On the Delmarva (Delaware Maryland Virginia) peninsula we have "Chesapeake Bay baked potato". They vary a little depending on the chef but it's an assorted seafood stuffed potato. My favorite come from the chefs that are heavy handed with the clam chowder. The seafood bisque base is equally enjoyable. Good stuff. Thank you for sharing your talents. And in a fun and enjoyable format.

I live in Ohio now, but I was stationed at Fort Carson, Colorado and there was a restaurant called Bird dog in Colorado Springs. They had an potato with pulled pork in it or what ever meat you wanted. It was called a shotgun potato spud. I would get cheese, sour cream, and butter on it with a mild BBQ sauce over top.

Nothing gets me excited like the better half telling me it's loaded baked potato night. The kids get the russets from the bag but I stop on the way home and hand pick my perfect potato if i'm getting one topping option. If i'm lucky and there's leftover chili in the fridge i'll take two regular potatoes. One with chicken/steak, bacon, mushrooms and fried onions then one loaded down with chili. Sour cream and cheese on both obviously.
Doesn't make for good YT content but the air fryer is the best way to make em.

in my sandwich shop, we called them stuffed potatoes (loaded meant something else, ha ha) and they were my favorite meal. I liked one with meatballs, marinara and provolone. Don't forget the sour cream.
My favorite cowboy wardrobe is those embroidered shirts and a turquoise bolo tie. Yes sir. I also like the plaid flannel shirts if the weather is cold, topped with a leather jacket. Yes, I was raised in the wild far west. Oh, don't forget that cowboy hat!

Thanks for sharing with us Kent and Shannon, hope you had a good turnout in Houston for the book signing. Sorry we couldn't make it. Maybe someday ifin they don't run out first. Love this Baked Tater and the refinement of it. Stay safe and keep up the good work and videos. Fred.

If ya grab hold of your taters at both ends, pinch and push in at the same time, it'll make a wider opening with little effort.
I put more salt in my tater water than you did.
Some folks think it best to oil their taters before they cook, glad somebody else knows better.
But, I have to tell ya right now, you forgot all about the chopped bacon and green onions!!!
If you let the melted butter and sour cream set for any length of time, it'll separate, like yours did, so make it the last thing ya mix up.
My butter/sour cream mixture has onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper and smoked paprika.
My "Ultimate Tennessee Taters" has that yummy butter and sour cream mixture I mentioned, fresh grated smoked cheddar or pepper jack (or both), green onions, chopped bacon, some pickled jalapenos, the meat of your choice and barbie sauce (if you care for it).
My favorite meats to load on 'em is either smoked turkey or smoked brisket.
Where I come from, we keep our smoked turkey soaking in the juices whilst waiting to throw it on a sandwich or tater, no dried out turkey'll do.
Now I'm wanting me a tater!!!
