The video is lovely & calming & I love the music but I keep falling asleep before the end. I will never see the end & learn to make the meal. I guess this Is more the American style of casserole. Casseroles in the U.k tend to be made of meat & veg, partidularly root veg', though of course vegans & vegetarians often use beans & tofu or seiten etc or even just vegetables alone.
Love this recipe. I wouldn't necessarily want the cherry tomatoes on top. But I would love it. She did it slow so everyone knows exactly how to prepare it.
Well done. Liked how you went through the steps, explained nutritional value of the ingredients, and did close up photos of the Steps. Can't wait to try it.
Why are these headings so silly? I lived in France for 16 years and in no way is pasta a French dish. Also, who asks for the same meal to be cooked every day? The recipe looks tasty, but the video could be cut , who needs to see onions being chopped?
@@sukigirlfulThat is correct. The pasta killed it in a bad way. 😮 The French would not like it. I know, I asked my French mother and she poo pooed it. She said that the French never put pasta in something like that. In fact, they don’t frequently eat pasta at all. 😬
I "m from South Louisiana, United States. All the chopping and grating would have to be done before you begin cooking. I would do it the day before. Then when you beginning cooking, you would boil your pasta while cooking your meat and pepper/eggplant mixture.
Hi. My aim is not only to show you how to cook, but also to distract you from your problems and relax you a little. It's a kind of little meditation. 🫶
Wow! That is a rich casserole! I am sure it is delicious but definitely not simple or cheap. Love the nutritional reminders. This would be great with a green salad for having company. Tasty and can be prepared ahead. Yes, agree with other comments of speed and length but it is always interesting to see how different cuttings are done. Interested in what kind of pan or brand you are using. My partner is from France but this seems more American or maybe some of the French Moms have discovered the blessing of casseroles. Will definitely try out. The mix of beef and pork always adds extra flavour! Toronto, Ontario, Canada here.

I enjoyed the video very, very much!!! I watched it twice. I especially loved the calming music and the cook's tranquil voice. It was very relaxing. I also greatly enjoyed the way the cook chopped all ingredients, allowing me enough time to write the recipe down -- and also providing an excellent tutorial in chopping methods. The gradual assembly of the casserole was very well done and an excellent visual aid. I will go out today and buy the ingredients and make this dish for family and friends as a special treat! Hi, I live in Chicago Illinois. This recipe looks so good and I do thank you for the time and effort you spent sharing this recipe but it is long. The details are fantastic, however, it is a little too much detail, which is just slowing it down. Thank you again it looks delicious.
I appreciate the detail, but it was painfully too long. I did watch it to the end and I do plan on making it. I could’ve done without watching the cheese slicing and the vegetable cutting. She has a lovely storytelling voice, but not appropriate for detailing a recipe. Painful but delicious😢 I’ll now have to play back the transcript to get the actual recipe.
I love the slowness it’s like a meditation, but that’s how I think of cooking, if im in a pinch to get things done quickly I can see it tho. But this pace is so nice and relaxing most days for me! Thank you . USA🌷
I love your soft, almost sultry voice. I do agree that the video is a little long. I don’t know why you have to show the entire vegetable being sliced. We get the idea long before you’re finished cutting an onion or a pepper, but I like your presentation very much, I am subscribing. I am from Omaha, Nebraska USA.
Realizing this comment is from about a month ago, you may have all ready figured out the cheese; however, doing a quick search today for a French cheese--since this recipe is from Paula's friend in France--it looks like Saint Paulin Cheese, a semi-soft, creamy yet firm, cheese. Hope this helps! I plan to try this recipe!
@@Birds-Nest.2020No the author said its ’Swiss’ cheese, and as they always used only one ‘generic’ cheese for cooking, unless specified, it will be Emmental. What kind of cheese? 7:58
You are the Bob Ross of the Culinary world!
I am so relaxed hearing your voice, along with the gentle piano playing in the background. I am just too tired now to make this...lol.

Rome, Georgia USA. I love this recipe. Thank you for your time and talent.
Sounds like a voice used in meditation. Cook and relax at the same time.
Thank you 🫶
Thank you for your amazing video and for sharing the recipe. Looks yummy. ❤ Will try it.
Thank you, looks yummy and can’t wait to try it! Watching from The Villages, Florida
I’m from Scotland and love the French cuisine. I must say I’ve not come across this recipe, so thanks for sharing.
Mississippi, USA Thank You for this video. It was a pleasure to watch. I truly appreciate you videoing the entire process & plan on making it this week. ❤
Hello 👋 Thank you 🫶
The video is lovely & calming & I love the music but I keep falling asleep before the end. I will never see the end & learn to make the meal.
I guess this Is more the American style of casserole. Casseroles in the U.k tend to be made of meat & veg, partidularly root veg', though of course vegans & vegetarians often use beans & tofu or seiten etc or even just vegetables alone.
Get more sleep and stop whining!
Mind your own business. Half the people on here felt the video was too slow and boring.
@@marylinharris1353 Have a happy day.
Love this recipe. I wouldn't necessarily want the cherry tomatoes on top. But I would love it. She did it slow so everyone knows exactly how to prepare it.
No, she did it slow because she's in love with her own voice. Can't you tell?
It is VERY slow, but I will try it!
Sue Partridge, South Africa
Well done. Liked how you went through the steps, explained nutritional value of the ingredients, and did close up photos of the Steps. Can't wait to try it.

I love the pace! Don't speed it up. This way I can follow all.the steps! 😊
I’m in USA , thank you for this recipe, it seems delicious. I will make it.
i like your little grater it looks like a mini cheese grater so cute
You can purchase this small grater at the link below. Thank you 🫶
Yes, I like it too, thanks for the link.
I think this is neat to tell where you're from. It shows that people all over the world can come together for one cause. FOOD.😋😋😋😋
I "m from South Louisiana, United States. All the chopping and grating would have to be done before you begin cooking. I would do it the day before. Then when you beginning cooking, you would boil your pasta while cooking your meat and pepper/eggplant mixture.
I thought about that too.. I'm in Florida and a lot slower with age..so prep prior is good for this and get hubby to help with chopping too😄
Florida / USA here.
Beautiful, relaxing, informative presentation .
Thank-you for sharing. 🤗
Hi. My aim is not only to show you how to cook, but also to distract you from your problems and relax you a little. It's a kind of little meditation. 🫶
@@Deliciousandsimplemealswell I found it to be very relaxing and wonderful. Thank you very much. From South America, Colombia.
I want to make this dish! ❤ CT, USA God bless you 🙏
I think the food looks so very delicious., I will try it, very soon. Thank you for the step by step demonstration, that way, I get to see everything I need to do. Greetings from USA.

U.S.A. Looks good. 😋 For myself I would chop garlic fine to use it all No Waste. Cant wait to make this. 👍Thank You
Lovely recipe so far but showing too long too much time chopping!!
Looks good. Will have to make it. From USA Hummelstown Pa next door to Hershey Pa.
Agree about the chopping part. That's why they invented food processors.Saves a lot of time.
Showing the steps is so helpful to those who are new to cooking. Great video!
I expect this will be one of my best Show Off Meals !!!!!

Hi 👋 Amy from New York in the United States 🇺🇸!
I absolutely LOVE ❤️ that sweet little cheese grater is used for the garlic 🧄!
Hi. Thank you for your comment. If you want you can find this little grater at the link in the description. Have a great day!
New Orleans, Louisiana. I hope this was delicious after all the work and chopping.
I am also a New Orleanian! This looks amazing and need to REMEMBER to try it. We have a lot of great food down here. Red beans and rice on Mondays. Who else does that!😊
I'm from Milwaukee Wisconsin. The recipe is looking good and I love all your comments about the health benefits
Hi, I live in Chicago Illinois. This recipe looks so good and I do thank you for the time and effort you spent sharing this recipe but it is long. The details are fantastic, however, it is a little too much detail, which is just slowing it down. Thank you again it looks delicious.
She has a story telling voice!
She’s slow because the longer the video the more money you make!
I'm from malaysia...always love to watch different receipts...tq for given
I love the slowness it’s like a meditation, but that’s how I think of cooking, if im in a pinch to get things done quickly I can see it tho. But this pace is so nice and relaxing most days for me! Thank you . USA🌷
This looks so good . I will try.
Yes relaxing and a great meditative tune.
Thank You
I love your soft, almost sultry voice. I do agree that the video is a little long. I don’t know why you have to show the entire vegetable being sliced. We get the idea long before you’re finished cutting an onion or a pepper, but I like your presentation very much, I am subscribing. I am from Omaha, Nebraska USA.
I too am from Omaha. Enjoy your evening!😊
My new favorite recipe!
I am an American who loves (and cooks) French recipes. Can't imagine a French recipe that doesn't suggest which type of cheese to use!
Swiss cheese 🧀 Looks like mozzarella cheese.
@@Deliciousandsimplemealsquel formaggio non è mozzarella. Assomiglia alla provola dolce oppure alla scamorza passita.
That’s the standard basic ‘cooking’ cheese. Tho it really doesn’t melt well or have great flavour. Glad we can now proper English cheddar here now, it used to be a luxury.
@@AnnalyFaith the Swiss also use raclette. That is better as a swiss melting cheese.
