- Join in LIVE with the RESTORED crew as they work to revive this 1935 custom Ford truck. The guys are working with 80+ year old bones on this girl with a Mopar drive train. This truck was built sometime back to resemble a custom build by the one and only Gene Winfield. Will it still run after setting up for many years?

Got here late, 4:30am here in Pensacola. Mighty humble man that's not afraid to pray and give God the praise in front of tens of thousands. That's why I love this channel. Maybe start opening the lives with prayer. Who knows what could happens. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Nstay blessed y'all.
This is a car show, NOT a religious show! So no, starting it with prayer would not be appropriate!
Awesome looking truck.
Thank you for the prayer.🙏That was incredible to see the Lord answer your call to him on stream!
Finally got to see it run. I missed it on live stream, got to late. Bless the lord and you guys. I know the feeling when you get the vehicle fired up
I just saw Derek's video on Vice Trip Garage about this truck. He bought it and drove it 600 miles home to Tennessee.
Thanks!
Nothing like working on an Ford with a 318 Dodge motor in it!!!! Love the old school Ford commercial! Your photographer is mighty CUTE 🥰!!!!
Saw this truck on Vice Grip Garage
Just found you guys and watched a couple of episodes, including your Documentary of trials and tribulations. As a brother in Christ, your story hit home with me and I appreciate the fact you have a Godly, family endeavor. I like turning wrenches with my kids, it's been rewarding watching them learn, and sharing those quality times. You remind me of us, very relatable. I suggest you name this build return of Frankenstein. Reminds me of one of my old DJ-5 mail jeeps. AMC body, Ford engine, and Chevy transmission.
Oo
Man I Love yall....when you guys prayed that sent me over the edge..I do that all the time..To anybody out there it works for just about evrything..even losing keys..thats how i started 20yrs ago..Jesus is so Great
LOL I love that you stopped and prayed over it! That's what it always comes down to with my cars as well. Stop. Say a prayer. Give God the honor and glory and acknowledge that He (and not me) is in control. And THEN it works! Hallelujah!
Thank you Christian for doing very good job on the video.
See how alittle bit of prayer goes along way amen have a blessed labor day weekend much love from Portland Indiana
Live streaming looks prep work intensive. Probably needs three times set-up put in before starting the show. God bless and be well over there.
Some years ago, i bought a 35 Ford pickup. It had been cleaned up and painted a nice shiny black. I loved driving it in parades and to car shows. Finally life’s problems caught up with me and I had to part with it. Mine had the original Flathead. I think it was one of best looking pickups Ford made - my favorite except for Chev’s old mid 50 five window.
The power of prayer. Nice
My father gave me a 35 ford pickup when I was 22 years old. It had a59AB engine with trip carbs aluminum heads Fenton headers and strait exhaust and much much more under the hood so fun to drive . Have fun! I'm 58 now .
What a great looking truck.
Sounds like a little timing adjustment, and a working carburator would do wonders for that project, but the fact that you guys got that tired old Mopar to wheeze to life was a testimony to you not giving up.
Even better, jack up that old engine to get it out of the way, and bolt in a Gen I , 350 Chevrolet V8 and go cruising.
Take care . We really enjoy your videos.
Don't do that. It's a Ford; put a FOMoCo in it and don't Chevrollet everything because rthey're cheap.
Glad to see those subscriber #s. You all have made a real You Tube comeback!! Congrats!
With your hat off, you look just like your dad. Love to see your family and how you work together.
Washington lol
That's a good-looking Old truck I would love to own it I would make a everyday driver so it would be so cool going down the road and that old truck
I'm in a metropolitan area of North New Mexico, population around 200. Only 2 businesses in town, Post Office and a dinner. Often questioned which does more business. Few years back I bought a Chevy 9600 grain truck. The 6 cylinder motor really struggled on my mountain roads. I had an 87 fire truck sitting here with an 8V92 Detroit in it with a 6 speed. Well I'm sure I don't need to explain what happened there. I'd surely enjoy doing a NAPCO front end on the ol'girl. Nice looking truck and yes, the hydraulic dump works fine, so far. Solid straight body with a rock solid frame but I'm to cheap to paint it because I only use it to haul my firewood from the mountains to the house. Only have a couple thousand in it as it sits now, cheaper than buying a trailer. I'm not getting any younger but I do enjoy my mountain's and tinkering. Your channel just showed up in my feed and I think I'll enjoy it.
This is wholesome family entertainment that the whole family can enjoy and actually learn something.
I love this channel and family ever since turning rust.
I think I would get it running and clear coat it and sell it
Just came up on you guys. First time listening. I enjoy watching old car rehabs on youtube. The prayer snuck up on me. How refreshing to see mechanics like yourself who pray. Thanks gentlemen, I really needed to hear that this morning. Subscribed and thumbs up for sure...Looking forward to some more of your work.
At 2:42:36 while you’re trying to start it if look on the playback at the drivers side of the carb. There is a spark at you are cranking it right before it starts up.
Yeah, that's the first thing I thought is that someone poured the water into the engine. Update* Towards the end right after you prayed and it started up literally I cried my eyes out. Having God watch over you with His protecting angels must be a wonderful thing. Love it. Keep up the good work! Seriously, that was a miracle.
I'm sorry I'm going to disappoint you, but starting an engine is not a miracle - it's science! And for this you need to know how to disassemble, clean and tune the carburetor, tune the opening of valves and the distributor - that is, have knowledge of mechanics.
Spray gasoline into the carburetor, crank the electric motor until it smokes and pray the engine starts - you can call it anything but don't call it mechanical.
By the way, at the age of 16, I completely disassembled a car engine, I did the line, the set-up the timing and the carburetor and it starts at the first key - not praying.
Unfortunately, 40 years ago I did not have UA-cam, nor a video camera to record "the miracle", only an immense desire to learn and to carry out a job well done.
It was not a Ford V8, just a 1200cc inline 4, but I did it without any help (I only took the camshaft and the crankshaft to a specialized workshop for rectification).
If your engine start "by miracle" then it stops later when you're on the motorway ( if you go there ) and then you must pray for another miracle or call a mechanic who know his job to make it run again.
@@ioanm6616 People who respond to me on here all have the same type of profile. No content to see, and simply a troll. It's okay, God will heal you! I'll pray for you!
@@castlerock7423 You could pray to God for a person and maybe God help him if he deserve. But God will not change the engine timing settings if they are wrong, nor will it clean the carburetor jets, just because you're praying for it.
In this case, the engine starts because he changed the battery with a charged one and used a cold start aid spray - that does not cause the spark plugs to drown as happens with gasoline in a cold engine, between the two actions and the fact of having dried the spark plugs a little earlier, one of them managed to ignite the mixture but the engine turned off again as it did not receive the correct air/fuel mixture.
Even if you change the carburetor with a new one ( the solution that today's "mechanics" are using because they don't know how to clean the carburetor jets or how to correct the level in the Constant Level Chamber ) the probability that the engine works correctly is very low, the settings are never absolutely identical from one engine to another.
You are free to believe that i'm a troll or the cows will fly if you pray enough - that will not change the truth. They ignored ALL the advice expressed in the live chat.
@@ioanm6616 I don't have all the answers regarding how or why God decides to go about answering prayer, I just know He does, but it doesn't surprise me that you say such things because one thing that God requires of all believers is faith. Not only do you not have faith, but you dont even believe that He is. Good luck with that philosophy.
Good job you all for never given up. I love seeing you guys getting them old cars running again. With a Little help from God goes a long long way. He's right beside you every step of the way so keep up the good work. 👍🙏🤲... God Bless you and your family !!
Gentlemen you have made me a believer, you guys are knowledgeable but the best part of your podcast was the prayer session in the end which.bore fruit, thank you Jesus. !!!
Just saw this truck on VGG, Derek had it running and on a 650 mile road trip. Had a horrible trip but he loved trip.
Was going to say that
Hi
Yes
I would put a set of crackers on it and put a 302 in that sucker
He needs to get grease all over his hat
I am so impressed that you prayed over this truck works every time
You guys are taking me back to my teen years when there were a string of rental garages behind the old grocery store where guys were working on units just like that 34 with a Chrysler hemi or stuffing a 53 Olds V8 into a 37 Mercury two door sedan.. There were Model As a few Ts and I recall one guy had a 1908 Buick he was putting back to drivability. Those were the carefree days of the 1950s. Thanks!
I have a 69 Charger with a 318. I've been driving this car for the last 45 years and enjoy every second of it. The Carter two barrel it used to have was a pain so I switched to a four barrel with electronic chock and have been very happy with that for the past 25 years. Engine is being overhauled at this moment and I can't wait to get it back in the car.
Loved seeing this old truck. Glad you are working on it.
Im learnig a lot from your video. I have a 1949Ford F1 that have been sitting for about 10 years, just started to work on her, changing her from Chevy motor, transmission, and rear end, get her back to all Ford. Thank you very much from Casper in Elmendorf Texas
Just started to watch your channel think its great.I believe what was happening with the ground problem is that motor has to be grounded to frame and the reason the brake line was getting hot was that the body of the truck does not touch frame of truck it sits on the frame bushings. What was happening was the master cylinder is connected to the body and the brake line was acting as the ground because it was connected to the frame of the truck with brake line mounts so the brake line was acting as the ground wire. The engine always has to be grounded to the frame. Again thanks for the great videos keep them coming.
Yes he's right the engine mounts are probably rubber remember grounds will always follow the easiest path in this case the break lines master cylinder. Brake cleaner will be 300 octane like quick start on brush cutters should really fire things up have an extinguisher handy always CO2 the best .
Yeah I saw the one with uncle Frankie and it just made me cry sorry for your guys's loss God bless you
That was a beautiful moment when right after you prayed the motor came to life. Amen
It was amazing when you guy’s prayed, and Jesus answered your prayer……WOW 🙏🇦🇺
No other way to put it , I love this show. keep working on it "all" like you do! God Bless
There will be a lot of opinions on what to do with this fantastic truck. The only justification for the project is it makes you happy. The one you need to consider is the one that makes YOU HAPPY! If anyone has a problem with that, It is their problem. Personally, I love what you are doing!
That is a beautiful truck, not usually into customs but I would finish what was started. full on candy flake dream car ,just, WOW!! No patina!!
I just watched Derick's video (Vice Grip Garage) of him picking that up and driving it home.
great show guys, a cool story of human empathy that helped you that day your tahoe decided that the gasket was just too worn to go any further. And look what has become of it, you've built a channel with 78k plus followers, including a backlog of headaches errr cars to get up and running. truely inspirational. Especially having to wait for the ol' engine kick out that gunk and for the sparks to dry off enough for it finally kick over. we humans are a persistent lot.
I stay until the end. I am enjoying everything you all do. To get vehicles to run.
Release the spring clips on the distributor housing and lift the distributor cap allowing you to inspect the ignition contact points. Turn ignition on and using a std. screwdriver move the unstationary side away from the stationary side which should cause visual arch. If that does not occur use a finger nail file add remove carbon from both sides of contacts.
I like your videos because they're unedited. It's like Saturday afternoon in Dad's garage when i was a teenager.
Hhhooohhh! Its was about time! I missed you guys. Don't make me wait this long, anymore. Man, that steering wheel, on the Ford, is a killer. Lol! That is the most beautiful truck I've ever seen, and I'd would ride it into eternity.
It looks line a real chest piercer, for sure!
My 37 Ford pickup also had the butterfly hood.
What happens is rain comes right through that center hinge and right into the carb through that center bolt on the air cleaner.
Living in Oregon I had to fab a sheet metal umbrella to stop that water.
Maybe not what you have wrong but that's what happened to me.
Sweet truck
Best part by far was the prayer...God is good, all the time
If I were living in the states I would make an offer to buy that vehicle. I love the shape.
Missed the live. With a little work those 318s will scream. We ran them in our dirt track car in the 80s.
How about the gmc ls turuck
It will buff right out.
What a truck would love to see it customised and finished in a candy cherry black 👍
I am a 77 yr. old female. I found you this week. I am addicted. I was wondering about the engine you painted the bright blue if you ever painted the fire wall black? I really love the little small truck. It looked like a truck for a girl. I am on my Firestick TV.
It looks like it would be a good one to totally restore paint and running
The lady who opened the garage door in another video is gorgeous. Wow. With respect. I imagine that she is the one who makes the incredible videos and the one who gives her orders so that everything is great out there. I like everything, I follow them.
I love the interior of that truck! So different than anything I have seen before!
Looks kike a blanket throw to me...jf...
My mom and dad had a 35 Ford Business Coupe when I was a kid. (mid 40s)! I'd give anything to have that car now!!!
I don't care if the motors run.......just watching how smooth the father & son relationship runs is awesome enough...sure would love to have had that........
I’m a fairly recent fan. I am 60 and looking at the last few months of life. I would like to make a suggestion to you. All your videos are longer than what I usually watch. I think it might be popular if you edit down your live shows to 20-30 minute videos for folks who are just curious and not to interested in learning all there is to know.
God bless you in your business restoration! 😇
Great show.....Prayer works!!!!
That Ad is super funny! The girl wanting to take the cow is hilarious! I think they should use this same commercial idea on the new fords!
First off, loved Turnin' Rust! And I like that you're keeping the idea going with Restored.
I assume you moved to this livestream format to bypass the filming and editing part of a UA-cam show. But these "will it start? vids" (which are EVERYWHERE anymore) are wearing thin. But everybody knows if you have the expertise (which you guys do!) and the time and money to throw parts at it, it will always start. I'd love to see you guys figure out a way to show (livestream or filmed/edited) more "how tos" (like the wagon refurb) and digging out cars and most of all, take us through how you make all those cool rat rods!! Yes, that means filming and editing. But maybe you can find a new partner for that?
Nice to hear that Derek bought this truck from you
You guys are awesome, I ordered a t-shirt during the live and got it already. Thanks
Thank you very much and God bless
Greetings guys from nigel in the UK. Cant get enough of your vlogs . Keep up the great work . 😊
Had a 53 ford f100 with a 460 Lincoln engine! Keep on trucking!
Beautiful truck, wish we had those here in the UK
The white Volkswagen and the red Chevrolet SS are nice but the old truck you picked up today is going to be the most beautiful of these three.
Love your show and that truck is beautiful just as it is.

Just watched the video n wow you guys have patience lol. That truck was giving you guys a fit lol but I smiled when it started up. It was nice to hear it running. I've been watching your videos since I found them I like how unedited n real it is n that's what working on cars is about and you guys show that. I'll be watching more videos. Thank you for them n GOD loves you all.
Love see you guys back on the road !!! Keep on trucking !!
Love the live video Wyatt, Lance and Christian. God and lots of patience and prayer is key. Look forward to many more to come!

Great You tube show. Like watching you all work on cars. Especially the vehicles you pull from fields and get running. Awesome content! Keep up the great work.

1957 Dodge Lancer wheel covers
I just watched Derek from VGG get this ol girl running and drive it back to Tennessee! I'm surprised I didn't catch this when ya'll did it first, but, I'm watching now. BTW, he said that engine came out of a late 90's Dakota, but since it has a mechanical fuel pump, and just how junky it ran for him that didn't make since to me...an old charger seems more likely, maybe it just had new heads...
Always great to see y’all make them run, I always think about y’all when I’m trucking new Peterbilts through Paris, TX. God Bless
That was amazing God bless all of you
Absolutely love the grille on this truck!!
What a great testimony right there at the end. Love it!!!

Prayer is awesome What a gerat GOD we have HE cares about everything
yes!!!!!
Your imaginary friends can't fix old cars.
JAMIE H, I'd rather go thru life believing that there is God and find out I was wrong than to go thru life claiming there is no God only to find out there is!
Hey guys I think y'all should paint it yellow and black
What an awesome thing to see how true and real prayer is to those who don't believe...All glory to God
Great job guys & girl 💯👍🏻
Thank you guys for restoring all these old vehicles I hate to say I'm just rushed to the ground I'm an old school I do have an old card and a new one any day of the week keep up the awesome job you're doing great
Lol with Joy and praise to Jesus, I stuck out every minute of this video! But thanks to God she started
Enjoyed this one as always! Maybe you will have better luck reviving the buzzard!! "Posom"... lol oh wait i spoke too soon hadnt seen the end yet! Jesus came through for sure!
Love y'all keep bringing good stuff blessing to y'all
I'm not really a ratrod fan, but this one really has the look. I actually like the hubcaps.
Hey work are you guys from Texas is that where y'all are placed at Basin Pell City Alabama
The motor needs to be grounded to the frame
I love old trucks especially old fords ,.. have a 61 and 66. cool ride you have . Keep on truckin'
Awesome revival. love the truck. Will look good on a t-shirt.
really enjoying the parts mic, making sure we hear random rustling sounds. appreciate that.
Cool old truck with some history, I dig it! Great episode
Que buenos trabajos!
Un fuerte abrazo desde Uruguay, Sudamérica!!!
Didn't vice grip garage buy this and get it running? Drove it home a few hundred miles. Very nice truck
Derek sure did
Even though it was obviously grounding through the brake line and you kept cranking on it, I still think you guys are great and enjoy watching you. I kept hollering that it's grounding through the brake line!!! 🤣👍
That was pretty awesome. Keep up the good video's guys.
