Hate to be that guy but everyone that has been baptized is per definition a Christian. As someone who actually have lived several years in a Benedictine monastery I would say that believer is a more accurate term. PAX
My first vehicle was a 1967 Pontiac Tempest. I paid $25 for it, it didn't have an engine or tranny in it. Then a couple days later I bought a Chevy 230 6 cyl with a powerglide trans. I put it in and got all new fluids installed and was broke, car didn't have a driver's seat so I found a bean bag chair and duct taped the holes and used it for driver's seat for nearly a year. Be Blessed.
Around 1980 or 81, my brother bought a '69 Tempest that had a little bit souped-up engine (I think it was a 389 with mild cam and headers/four barrel). He paid a girl $175 for it. When he bought it, he asked the girl "Why was she selling it for only $175 " ?? Her answer, "Well, I never had $175 before" ! He drove it from Illinois to California and the only issue was - every time he went to start it - he had to crawl under and jiggle the shims on the starter.
You guys tackle the toughest start and runs on you tube and you don't give up! That's what I love about you guys! God bless you and keep up the great work!
As a teenager, I owned this same car at the same time as owning a '64 rag top Bonnevillewith A/C, power seats & Windows. The 'Bonny'was a Coupe and the Catalina, a station wagon.
I'd love to see you try to get this one running. The 64 Pontiac is one of my favorites and I love a 4 door even. Even if this thing is so far gone to barely be a parts car, it would be cool if it could run one more time before the few good parts get sold and the rest gets scrapped.
Love this channel your dad reminds me so much of my uncle who used to restore old cars. One of my best memories was when he restored an old Dodge Charger into the general lee.
First car I ever owned was a 1964 Pontiac Catilina convertible. I miss her to this day. I named her "Catherine" and still dream about her. She was maroon with a white convertible top and red interior. V8, too. She was awesome. Bought her in 1973. I'm now 66 years old and miss her to this day.
Oh my LORD, Lance, praying before your work is the most awesome act that I have ever seen on UA-cam. As a small garage mechanic myself I have found prayer to make all the difference. Keep on praying my brother. The LORD says that it is good!!
As you say, the chrome is worth more than the car, although the bumpers and fenders seem savable. Very enjoyable to see a father/son work together so well.
My friend drove his mothers Pontiac LeMans push button automatic, looked a lot like that one, tank, when I was 16 and he was also 16 and I had a 72 gremlin 304- v8 3 speed manual both cars had some crazy power.
I want to see an attempt on the engine. Whatever you learn about it likely to increase the resell price, especially if you can get it to cough and sputter, at least. Keep up the great work!
I would also like to see a attempt at the engine to see if you can get her running again like the old Rambler that was stuck & you got it running again
Wow, sure bringing back memories of MY first car. I got the old family car when the folks upgraded to a '66 Buick. At 16 I happily got the keys of a '63 Catalina! 😆
Good Seeing You & Your Dad Yanking That Old Pontiac From It’s Vinny Grave.. She Looks Really Far Gone, Scary Deep-Set Rust, But If It’s Feasible, Always Interesting Seeing You Guys Getting Things To Run Again..
Thanks for another great video. I love these old car rescues. I know it's probably well beyond repair but I would really like to see you take it home, clean it thoroughly inside and out to see what's actually left and then, if it can't be saved, it could be a valuable source of spares for someone.
I need to come visit Texas. Man, there are so many great old cars down there. Here in Maine they rust away because of all the salt they put on our roads. Keep saving them. Great content and a great family. Wishing you so much more success in the new year.
Nice video...it would be cool to see this run again... ...I've found that it's easier to get under the car if I move the car before messing with the tires...pulling it 5 or 6 feet helps a lot...can't always do it, but it's worth a try.
That ride was someone's ride from the hospital, from the store, from the church, from the prom, from the job and someone's ride to the cemetery. Give it a clean up and let us hear its story. Every car has a story, let us hear it.
Good day to you and all the viewers! I’m always interested in watching all the recovery projects your family puts out on UA-cam! Thank you for sharing your experiences with us. I had a thought about when those vehicles are far down in the dirt, like this Pontiac. Why don’t you just shovel dirt down into the holes after the vehicle is jacked up? The boards are an ok idea but they have a good chance of breaking or sagging once the jack is released. I’m already looking for the will it start on this old car. Have a great weekend to all.
Oh how these videos brings back so many great memories. I loved to do this with every ounce of passion in my body. From piles of rusty medal to a beautiful vehicle that ran down the road drawing stares, smiles and even applause from crowds of onlookers. The mind still has the want to, but the body let's me know very quickly it can't happen again. However nothing can take away the memories of those beautiful cars we produced still running today, even though most are sitting in some one s garage only to be taken out on very special occasions. Oh how I loves those days, and thank you for sharing these videos with us.
What kind of awesome videography is Sister Christian going to supply for us to enjoy today? Can't wait to see. Great to see another one of your family productions. Just beware of the 🐀
Honestly, it breaks my heart to say so, but I think this one just needs to be laid to rest.. Part it out for what you can, in case you happen to find another and let this poor baby go..
My family had a 1962 catalina pontiac. I was hoping you could restore her but your the better judge. I really appreciate your stand on faith, especially your prayer at the beginning of your videos. Keep up the great work y’all do!!
There should be a lot of good little trim parts you could sell to help recoup your cost. That front nose cut across the front of the hood and fenders might make a really cool wall hanger. Other than that, I’d haul the rest to the recycler. To bad, I love those old Pontiac’s.
" It'll buff out" ! lol I had a 63' Bonneville 2 door and my friends had a 63 4 door Catalina. Loved to drive the catalina with its 389 and glass packs ! lol Also first car i've seen with reverse all the way down on the column shifter.

The front and back bring back fond memories. Parents bought a new 64 Catalina convertible red, black top and interior, 389 and turbo 400. Drove the car to high school.
I think the Pontiac Catalina is an awesome car whether it's a 4 door or not. I dig the the front end look. It's a cool car. I would like to see it turn over, I've seen you unlock a block. That car is cool 😎.

Awww.........that was my first car. My parents bought it used for $600. Sadly I drove it into the ground (I was 16)- but I always wanted to keep it because it was so beautiful. Thanks for saving this one. It's still a beauty.
To be honest with you I felt like a fella could could strip that car down and completely rebuild it and make it into a nice looking hot rod. Plus beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
