Hey Restored! Nice going with live stream but please make another video of this 86 firebird
I am lol
86 was the yr I graduated high school
Pressure washers on it

The 3rd gen Camaro and firebird had an issue on the fuel pumps, there was a little rubber hose that would disintegrate over time. I bet that hose is bad. The tanks are a nightmare to pull so a lot of people cut access holes in the floor hump in the rear. That's how I did mine but I sealed it up good and you couldn't tell. I did one once where I dropped the tank and it was an 8-10 hour job. Absolute nightmare. Also, from what I can see that's the early TBI unit and not a Carburetor. And that sound sounds like the two injectors clacking. That's just from what I can see. I could be wrong, I definitely don't know everything but I've been a Camaro guy since I was born in 90 and had my 80 Z28 since 94. Keep spreading the word! Praise be to God!
I own a 1986 Firebird, there's no room for a true dual exhaust system with the torque arm in the tunnel. I have Hedman "Shorty" Headers, ceramic coated, with a Y pipe, test tube in lieu of the cat and single 3" stainless to a single inlet dual outlet 40 series Flowmaster. I dumped the 305 and installed a 30 over 350, 2 bolt main 10.5 to 1 forged pistons, 64 cc heads, Crane cam, Harlan Sharp Billet Roller Rocker arms. Mine is a T-Top with 5 speed, 3;73 Richmond gears. I bought mine in 87. I replaced my starter with a Power master Mini Torque due to the limited installation room, plus it handles higher compression. Good luck (P.S. I'm still fighting with my headlamp motor relays) The viewer who said the shocks were missing is probably accustomed to seeing a shock mounted in middle the lower control arm, these cars have front struts not shocks.
Those Firebird commercials from the 1980's are awesome!!! Takes me back to my childhood years. "We build excitement, Pontiac!". I so remember those commercials! When they went to fuel injection, the Trans Am GTA and Formula 350 were introduced. Those were some of the coolest cars on the road back then, especially if they had the manual transmission.
I may be partial, but It's always nice to see a Firebird get revived, especially one with a good story attached!
Much as I like Knight Rider, I would like to see it just restored to original. Love the sound of that car. My feeling is the best way to honor her memory is to make look like it did when when she had it.
Yes the original red color
Great channel,Praise Jesus, really enjoyed your show guys and at the end when you said you will close in prayer you really got my ATTENTION! I am blessed I found this channel, Jesus bless all of you, love you in Christ!
Amen

I completely like to see that a family like yours can work together and agree and disagree on certain things or issues that you come across in the line of work that you do.
they can also edit !!
Hi Christian & Guys U R Amazing Finding Old Cars & Getting Them Going Again I Would Like To Find Old Cars Too. From Ian Australia.
This car was my apart of my childhood memory. I wish I had a chance just to drive one.
Man, the 80s was the best having fun 😊
Mad props for your KITT knowledge. You get a like and subscription. Definitely make a Kitt replica. It's already auto
I like the live stream because it shows the time and patience to work on old car. Had '84 Z28 and changed starter and also clutches.
I love this episode because I also have a 1986 trans am, mine had the 350 with the tuned port fuel injection... I bought it in 1992 and I still have it to this very day... She needs a little TLC but it's all there and in decent shape for the year... Keep up the good work guys, love the channel
Me Too. I Got a Black Trans-am 1986 but some how its not fuel injection like the other 2.8L V6 Firebirds i own in the pass to my big surprise. its got a 305 V8 2 Barels Carb that acording to the gm dealer runing the vin number is original. great video thanks you. oh any one else notice the weels are camaro weels ? not firebird or trans am
Up the hill from my house, when I was young 6 or 7 yrs. 1957, my friends Grandfather owned a Pontiac dealership. They were the first new cars for me, friends Mom drove a new Pontiac every yr. she was the receptionist, sat just inside front door of showroom. Yeah they were my favs. not happy when GM got rid of them. Firebird Formula was my fav. only ended up owning two Sunfires. Can't wait to see this one run again.
They sure don't make cars like they use to, back 25 years ago i remember having 5 firebirds just like this one in my fathers junkyard, paid 500 dollars for 1 . now they are worth 10 x as much restored. beautiful cars.
Amen on the prayer it’s nice to see people praying please keep that up
Kelly from Connecticut.
I was 22 year old when this car came out 😲👏🏿
You was born in 1964?
i love the commercials. as an 80's child the nostalgia is overwhelming. i wish i would have caught this on live stream for interactive coversation.
It Is So Good Seeing You Both Here, God Bless You Both.. ☺️
Lance, you did good job work on this precious Pontiac from your pastor. I hope that you could restore that car to its former glory and give that car back to your pastor/friend so he can keep it in memories of his mother and keep in his family for generation to come! I love to watch y'all work on cars. I'm not that far from y'all. I know y'all live just southeast of Paris, Texas. I'm about 30-45 miles west of Paris, Texas (Sherman, Texas on US Hwy 82). My parents and I used to live in Cooper, Texas just south of Paris and west of y'all!
Enjoying your live as well as your produced/edited content. Yup, i watched this live from start to finish. With the lives it's like I'm there hanging out with y'all. Oh, and i very much enjoyed the VW Bug build. Y'all blew it off the charts with that build. Any hoot, great job, great video and keep em coming. Cause we sure do enjoy them
Now you're what you call a good-hearted person giving back to somebody who gave you especially when they're in need and you know that that whatever you're doing for means a lot to him you're freaking awesome you and your dad keep up the good work God bless you have a blessed day
Great channel And awesome to see a family work together. Me and my dad worked together for years till he passed. Yall help bring back many great memories. Keep up the great work.
For some reason I couldn't get this show anymore I was sad love watching y'all. Y'all just popped back up and I happy now.
I love that shirt I probably wouldn't be able to get it because I lived on a fixed income SSI disability I can't afford a lot of stuff
SSI disability...I'm on it too...
You understand where I'm coming from
@@wcasby0204 as Lamchop from "Lamchop's world" says, "Ohhhh yeahhhh!!!!".
And everyone thinks you’re living so large on there money but in reality most people can’t afford to pay there utilities let alone rent on disability idk what it pays in your state but it’s about 435 here something like that ssi is 700
@@yungBitta291 living large on their money??? We earned this money, it was deducted from our earned paycheck. And it's not even enough to pay rent and utilities. Pitiful. 40 years working at the same company, and this is what I have to live on....
i like watching you guys getting cars back to life after 50 years.
Loved the Herbie build, not only did it look great, it also sounded awesome. Never heard a bug sound so deep. Really cool with flashbacks to the original stuff car and the funny scenes recreated. Great job!! Sharing your page with my Dad who taught me how to drive in a 71 VW van and drove bugs for many years afterwards. Can't wait to see how the Firebird turns out.
Just started watching tonight. Love that you include Christ in your comments. Keep sharing. It helps to know others are out there.
We are proud of you guys. Youre amazing.
I stumbled on your WEB Site by accident today. We worked together on fixing up old cars. I still have a '65 GTO that I bought new - it was the Tri-power version with 4 speed and Posi-traction. “Somehow,” the engine blew up and I put a highly modified Chevy 427 into it, originally in a Corvette. My son got a ’65 GTO Wanna-Be (LeMons) - he built a Chevy 454 for it. We planned to run them at the local tracks when not on the streets. You guys work so well together it reminds me so much of times gone by. Several years ago, my son got hit while on his motorcycle by a drunk driver. It took him seven years to die, but eventually he did - from injuries and meds from the accident. You guys have a GREAT program - I may stop by and visit you some in Bagota. I have been there several times participating with the Patriot Guard Riders in funeral services of Veterans. God Bless You All!
Derek would be proud for all the vice grip usage 🤣
Very true. As u know you can fully take apart a car with a pair of vice grips & a Tanya Harding.
After the first hour, Derek would be on his way home in that car 🤣
Great video thank you! Also the prayer at the end caught me by surprise, it was beautiful ❤️
As a rule of thumb (at least on GM) there should be 1/8" clearance between the flexplate/flywheel teeth and the shaft the starter gear rides on. DORIS!
[🏮][🏮][🏮]
Bought my first vehicle in 86. A 1968 f100. How I'd love to have it still. Love your show thank you.
If it has a tilt steering wheel, check the wiring harness at the bend of the column.
I like those 1980's Firebird ads, too! Pontiac really did build excitement!😁🔧🛠️
Christian does some amazing camera 🎥 work… I love some of the Slo-Mo work she does… Very professional camera skills and fluid moves I have to say. Keep up the great work!!!
To call a woman "my dear" is demeaning. It would like saying, "You're a good little boy" when you're a male over the age when you want to be called, "little boy".

There’s no need to bother replying to a compliment that wasn’t even directed to you. This site is for Adults 18 and over, not for younger boys like yourself. Keep your comments to yourself!
MY DAD TRIED TO HELP ME WORK ON CARS I REALLY LOVE THIS
Thank you for your excellent content, God bless y’all

@@polenick4805 what are you saying 😊
@@polenick4805 are you joking
"ain't got much but it's got us". 🤣 That's right, and I'd be pretty happy to have you guys as neighbors if I was in a small town. Well done
I couldn't care less to have a perfect K.I.T.T replica. To me would be a dream just to own a perfect exemplar of a regular F-Body Firebird Trans Am. Obviously IMHO and with all due respect 🙏
If you have the new starter in that means the starter is fine because if you hear clicking that must be the carburetor acting up and the spark plugs are gone
I just did a starter replacement in a 94 GMC Sonoma, 2.2 litre. The hardest replacement I've ever done. There's a metal plate right behind the starter!
Clicking noise on the carburetors a mixture control solenoid perfectly normal
This is giving me some serious flash backs! My first car was an 86 Firebird. Mine, unfortunately, had the 2.8L V6 but was otherwise the same car. The same red originally, then some copper red color when I bought it in 1991 just before I graduated high school. Then I painted it.....can you guess what color? Yep, black! I at least had the formula firebird wheels on mine! Man, I wish I still had that ole girl! Thanks for sharing this one!
First car was 87 firebird. Was my older sisters. Man i enjoyed that thing. T tops. When i packed 4 friends in it hardly got out of its own way lol but good times, good times.
It would be nice to get put back to it's original color even though I understand why they decided to go with the black with it. Knight Rider being one of the most popular shows of the times back then. One movie and one show later and Pontiac had a top seller. I always liked the red one.
My first boyfriend had a red TA. I get nostalgic for my youth every time I see one.
I'm injoying watching stuff like this you guys doing good job with that firebird god bless you all from the 🇬🇧 UK
A talking kit car would be cool. There is a guy makes the replica models of the KITT and it talks.
Missed you guys keep on the Sunny Side
Tilt the wheel down and it will let the switch work I have one that does that
God bless you all
I have an 86 black Firebird. It runs great and actually is my daily driver! Needs cosmetic work, like a paint job, new seats, carpet, dashboard, etc., but not bad considering how old it is. I get questions, comments and compliments on it all the time, because you rarely see them anywhere.
Them are not firebird wheels them are camro wheels not pontiact
I like how you guys have som much knowledge on fixing old rides. And take pride on them . Love this Chanel ..
Need a tool kart so you don't have to go back and forth to the tool box...
I was confident that you all could make the starter work!!!!
I watch this show all the time and I like how you will do a good family team keep up the good work from Harry Dean homestead Florida
Even though these "live" video's aired a while ago. I am watching them now. Still fun to watch and i discovered this channel by VGG.
Love the Camaro rims. LOL! I had a 76, 87, 97 Camaro and by gum, those are Camaro rims. Going to do a Night Rider? Cool!
Love your channel, work, and demonstration of faith, God bless!
Love you guys reminds me of my two sons and myself keep the faith and good work up
Hey guys I just wanted to say I have a 1978 Lincoln continental that me and my grandson are getting ready to start working on again it drove really good before I parked it
A quick message from UK please do what you are doing at this moment the lives and edited videos are both as good as each other lives show a true real life experience where problems can cause big trouble and edited videos are just a fast forward with no real issues besides the dad jokes are so bad its worth watching just for sheer entertainment🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
I bought an 84 used ,305 TBI ,found out it was a Police Interceptor from Ohio, also had a 2 speed rear end with a switch on the dash. This thing was badass, 5.0 Mustangs didnt have a chance, Corvettes too! had 200mph Goodyear tires and high performance suspension. Never have seen another one like it
Love that you are doing all these vehicles to try to keep them out of the scrap yard to be destroyed that you you so much. Sending from Goshen Indiana . Still would love to get a 66 Chevy Impala my first car bought myself when I was 16 and I am 67 now
I bought an 86 Firebird last December for $6500. It was in great condition when I got it to, just had to replace the seatbelts and it was missing a headliner. It’s never given me any problems so far other than what you’d expect from an old car.
As a carpenter I attempted to replace the starter on my Sanoma, it felt out right in my hands and it took me six hours to get the new one in, but it worked
While not exactly the same thing, in January of 1998 I spent an entire Sunday replacing the alternator on my '86 Fiero GT. I had to disassemble the passenger side suspension (removed the wheel and tire first) just to wiggle that bad alternator out of there. Then there was a semi-mad rush to get to Pep Boys so they could zip-off the pulley with their air gun six minutes before they closed at 6 PM. Thank goodness for my brother for being available on short notice to drive me and the alternator the five miles to Pep Boys. I did this twenty-three years ago on a bitter cold Sunday in my unheated garage. What a character builder. 😉
Love you're guys content I've been watching your videos all day today keep up the good work
Thanks for all the Hard Work; Hope/Pray for your future success.Sometimes your the Pigeon; sometimes your the statue!
God bless y'all. Good solid hard work. .plus I can't get the knight Rider theme out of my head. Ha!
That job on the mercades was amazing. I really enjoyed it!
It would be so awesome to
Build a knight Rider kit car.
As always great job you three
God bless you all.

Doris in the ad was Doris Briscoe. See was a news anchor on TV that became part of the PVN( pontiac video network). She was a big part of the training videos for dealers and salespeople at pontiac.
ok, this did it for me. subscribed! I owned and 83 TA with a crate engine, and also a stock 82 with the 305... that one was really tired, but drove it all over anyway... both of them were real lookers
I was 16 and 17 years old when the commercials come out
And owned a Pontiac Bonneville 92

My favourite mid.80,s car pontiac firebyrd trans am😍❤ thanks for this video good job guys youre awesome 😎👍
Been wanting to say this for some days now. when screwin around with a stuck motor heat deisel to near boiling, and have a good water tank you can keep water boiling. hok into bottom and top water outlets on block, no thermostat, and circulate hot water through the block as you add hot deisel into cylinders. in half hour we had a totaly stuck catapillar motor free and i also done a few v blocks since, a old fellow who was amazing old equipement taught me that trick when i was in my teens, just say i prob older than Lance's father now. I unseized a borg warner 4 speed with boiling deisel and some heat from a propane tourch. just some little tech tips to toss out to ya all into this sorta stuff.
Derek’s favorite tool vise grips lol
Wow what a Great way to spend Thursday evening thanks guys and God bless
The “Doris” is Doris Biscoe, the ‘anchor woman’ for the Pontiac Video Network. PVN was part of the yearly training for dealers and salespeople, distributed in the fall to train staff on the new products.
