I dint think Wendy actually conspired. But watching and listening to her behavior and speech I see her as a “background” -covert - instigator. I feel she wanted her ex dead, and welcomed “anything you can do” (to Charlie). And her mother did the same but not with as much guile. Wendy’s narcissism lies in her cool, “pleasant” demeanor. I think you might have to be a woman to see through her. I’ve seen her in two cross-exams and in the second one I got the creeps from her. She’s too smooth. Her one or two line responses came across as strangely deceptive to me. Monotone. And strangely still.

When Wendi said she didn't know what the indictment was for, my first thought was that when my family has had some sort of xray, CT, blood tests etc, I want to look over the results for myself so I can know what's going on and to be able to explain it to them in a better way, because I'm a nurse and that's part of my areas of expertise. I would expect a lawyer to be the same way about a family member with an indictment. Very suspicious.

The fact that she went straight to the murder scene after the murder is HUGE red flag. She went to see how her ex went down. That's why they were showing her brother when she was answering about the "trip to the liquor store". It's one of the bad mistakes that Wendi made.

Imho I saw her testimony in another trial and it was different. She had gotten limited immunity. It was totally different. I think she when drove to the crime scene, she knew. I wonder if they told intimated something was going to happen b/c of the calls to bro after & he knew? And her interrogation her heavy sobbing stopped on a dime. When alone she would hyperventilate & stop. She told LE about what her brother said b/c she knew others knew, but setting up her BF was the 😳 moment. It’s like she had a feeling they did it. I wish they could get the mom. We all know she was apart of this from the emails. Her ideas were diabolical. And their entitlement …. Those boys should be awarded to the Markel family. But imagine growing up and finding all this on the internet😳 therapy and run away from that family asap

My favorite part of Wendy’s police interview was when she called her parents to tell them Dan was dead. She doesn’t say killed, or murdered. She says he was shot. Then after the call, she says three or four times to the detectives how her parents were surprised when she told them so thats a relief. The hair on my neck went up. She couldn’t stress enough to detectives that there was nothing to see there. Once again, me thinks she doth protest too much. She knows she’s guilty.

He wasn’t dead yet. “Shot” was the correct thing to say! It was definitely odd that she kept referring to her family doing it or to someone doing it on her behalf. If she knew, you would think she’d try her best to keep her family under the radar? At the same time, maybe she understood that her family would be brought up in countless interviews of people in their lives, so she was trying to get ahead of it… I’m positive on the other members of the family, it’s just Wendi I can’t 100% be sure of.

But obviously Georgia, and even probably hundreds of people like me who have really studied this case for some weird reason, no her culpability
If she could have kept herself from driving by the crime scene, and if the neighbor hadn't spotted the car, and if Charlie had been smart enough to realize that if sick Fredo called his dads office, then there's a connection that could hang them, so to speak. Three small details made all the difference really. Anyone of them alone might not have done it.

From listening to the podcast about the murder of Dan Markel, I learned that Wendy HATED Tallahassee & wanted to move back to South Florida with the children.
Her mother was overbearing & her brother saw himself as a high class gangster.
The killer was given Mr. Adleson's Lexus as part of his payment. The family kept enough fron Wendy so she could have plausible deniability about the murder.

She wanted to move with the children to South Florida and he basically said "nope, you are not taking my kids" and the courts agreed with him. They said she couldn't move the kids away against his wishes. So, the only way that would happen is if he was gone... oh how convenient he was killed. Her police interviews are really creepy too. She seemed relieved, not distraught. I was stunned she isn't being tried as well.

He did. Rob has done interviews where he stated his parents did not accept his wife because of her religion. They made him marry a Jewish girl earlier and that marriage did not last. This marriage he married for love and they rejected his wife. As I recall they may not have been completely estranged but when the murder happened, Rob cut them off then. The amount of contempt and disdain in Wendi's face when the DA asked if those responsible should be held accountable was clear to me. Wendi seems like she just wants this to go away, like her ex went away, and the boy's paternal side of the family. To alienate the boys from their Dad's family, which happened after she let them see them the day of the funeral, is cruel to those boys who lost their Dad. Wendi likes to say it's because of the foster care comment, but that was solely until family could get to them if Wendi was arrested.... so maybe a day or two, possibly a week. @@Herewearenowentertainus Charlie’s comment on the stand that three- and four-year olds can’t remember or repeat comments was ridiculous. I used to embarrass my parents all the time, dropping f-bombs at the grocery store, calling kids at preschool “Yakima pig farmers” (my grandpa’s favorite insult, for some reason), or doing my famous Julia Child impression, all before I began kindergarten.
They were definitely keeping those boys from their grandparents and doing parental alienation all along. Horrible, selfish monsters.

@tiffd98133 People who do these selfish things usually end up with troubled kids down the road. They seem to not give it a second thought. Those kids will always know something is very wrong, even if they don't get the full story. Sick.

oh yeah. The Markels j haven't seen those kids in about 6 years.
just coming to light are sadistic plans by Donna to get the kids to wear Nazi costumes one time to upset Dan.
another tactic to bully him into giving up the fight was to convert the kids to Catholicism.
real nasty stuff to get a rise out of him, with the kids as the bait every time .
and Wendi painting Dan as abusive to her ex boyfriend , oh and keeping him around just long enough o try make him the fall guy for the murder. she didn't want him, she had a new guy in Florida. she wanted him in town specifically on the day of the murder.
and for the first murder attempt but they just tailed Dan, the hitmen hired a car that looked like the ex boyfriends.
Wendi was weirdly insistent wanting to know if he would be in town on Friday,t he murder day even though they had just broken up. he was like, you're breaking up with me, why do you want to know what i'm doing Friday?
Her eyes are cold just like Charlie's, no sadness for Dan in there at all.

Haha nice, been waiting for this one. Wendi's a piece of work. The whole family, they're like characters in a bad movie - the flashy drug-chipping dentist who was apparently just waiting around for a chance to tap his "underworld connections," the insanely vindictive mom who wanted to convert her Jewish grandkids to Christianity just to spite her daughter's ex-husband - and then Wendi, who afaict was told about the plot when her whacko mom and bro were cooking it up, and maybe wasn't fully on board, maybe wasn't involved in planning, but let it happen anyway.

Yes, she had to have been in on it. They didn’t know his schedule. Only she did.

Wendi also had to be the one who reported back to South Florida that the deed had been done. She set up Jeff Lacasse. She was a part of the “tv” alibi. She had to have prepared to leave Tallahassee with her sons before the event. And there’s more.

Re Chase's warning about not training the jury to tune you out by being boring -- Adelson's attorney should take that to heart, based on his closing statement for this trial. He droned on for a couple of hours.

Yes he talked loudly at times thinking that it was making an impact but even with the closing statement it shouldn't have to take up to 4 hrs or more. He seemed to be more convinced by himself than anyone else? Jmo
