I think its a revenge for your not having wanted them at the start. I wonder did this unattractive & arrogant sociopath have to lovebomb her before she gave in & fell in love with who she thought he was?

I just have to wonder why a toxicology report isn't done on every person who goes to the hospital with a "mystery illness". I can't believe how many shows I've seen with that scenario, and the doctors are "baffled" then send them home with the poisoner. Only to see the victim wind up in the morgue next time. I mean come on, test their blood for toxins or poisons when someone is mysteriously ill out of the blue. Surely the medical staff has seen this a time or two over the years? And still they use the term "mystery illness". At this point that should immediately translate into "they have probably been poisoned, lets check for that first". Having said that, as many of these shows as I have watched, very rarely does the victim get so many chances to run away and stay alive. She stayed, and she paid for that mistake with her very life. Sorry her friends and family had to lose her, and all we can hope for Linda is that she is at peace.
Here are 2 reasons why that good idea doesn't always happen : 1.)since medical care in the US is not socialized (its for-profit) , the insurance you have decides what is covered, not the doctors. Since out-of-pocket costs can get expensive very fast (because pricing is left largely unregulated to maximize capital gains) even common sense procedures are hedged to reduce the burdens of debt. 2.) There are thousands of known poisons of which only a fraction can be tested for in a standard toxicology screening. To test for all known poisons could cost as much as buying a new car or even a house. And false positives and false negatives happen enough that one screening/verification is not enough. There are thousands of unknown toxins, many of which cannot be detected at all, (some also can present as poisons which they are not, which causes all sorts of other expensive issues) Because of this, the usual procedure is to identify the possible source of the exposure, narrow down the possible culprits, and then test for specific likely causes one at a time. If you are fortunate enough to identify it correctly, you can treat it in a way that is affordable to you based on doctors and specialists advice. An autopsy can discover much more since destructive inquiry/testing is effective, though not possible or too risky for the living. And since it is no longer Healthcare at that time, you and your insurance aren't usually involved.

That's some tenacity.
It's called Narcissism.
It felt great watching the detective feel great at the arrest.
It was too formal, though. Nowadays, police treat suspects with kid gloves. She should have given him a verbal licking and put the cuffs on with some vigor.

I can only surmise that Linda, being older than her husband, and lonely despite her wealth, fell heavily for the Paul she thought she knew. I wish she had heeded her gut feeling, because she did suspect he was the cause of her illness. She probably thought she wouldn't be able to move on if they separated/divorced. Loneliness and low self esteem, allows some people to make irrational decisions. Bless her. She sounded like a lovely woman. Rest in peace🌹

I am from India, which is still a third world country. Still no way you can get a job in a nuclear facility with fake degree certificates. Here all government servants degrees are referred back to the university for verification.
I am shocked about the casual way of checking in US
I think it’s a second world/developing country no? Good verification policy!
The US is the epitome of a 4th world country.
I work as accountant in London. In last 10 years working for corporations nobody verified my degree in private sphere... Only time when they checked my education when I worked for charity which was getting founds from government. I know accounting is not nuclear engineering but still... I think it depends on organisation.
But I heard about friend of my friend who got job in USA in laboratory. He didn't have degree for this... But obviously they realised after few days and fired him.
@@lifeofeuropean You don't know about the checks they did without telling you. They obviously checked your education at the latest when they saw your very poor written English.
This was almost my story & still no one who has the ability to do anything, even cares. Those who knew us the most sees it now but he's still free to do as he wishes & I wonder, who'll be next? He is absolutely genius material & the description of this guy sounds just like my ex. Knows everything about everything, Jepordy was one of his most favorite game shows & could literally answer almost every question. He's so charming (beguiling), so attentive, so 'caring & supportive.'
No one ever saw it in the begging & most who are still charmed & manipulated by him still refuse to believe it.
Hospitals are mandatory reporters, HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN. Cops don’t just ask you if you think your husband is poisoning you. They should have investigated
If you feel you need to get someone to "watch" your spouse within the first year of marriage, and soon after your getting very sick? Surely anyone realises that they are in danger and need to seek immediate help.
Who else has a dear friend in denial who simply won't listen and is probably in danger 😢
Probably most of us over the course of a lifetime
Women are emotionally vulnerable, especially older women. I wish there was a way to convince women that is is ok to be alone.
Why was she allowed to go home when suspicion was there that someone was poisoning her and an investigation was never done. Shocking
Sounds like she would've willingly go anyways.

She was an grown woman not a kid ,dhe knew he was killingvher and just accepted that
Because she is an adult.

nothing impresses me like when victims change beneficiaries. greedy people deserve nothing
They should make sure the suspect knows it - make sure you reduce their motive

People need to learn self love. She was too desperate to have a man. She knew yet decided to turn a blind eye. How sad.
This the reason why parents should teach their children about, human psychology, especially with personality type. 💯💯💯💯
The detective and the prosecutor. They got the justice Linda deserved. Living her life doing everything right, l think the jury got a good impression of Linda's character. She worked hard, and was looking at a good future. Not perfect but nobody is.
Im glad that selfish little toad paid for taking her away from loved ones, friends, work colleagues, and for taking away her life and future.
It's a shame you can't buy bottles of intuition for people who really need some.
Ive heard so many stories from people how its always the ones you arent even physically attracted to , the ones who lovebomb & absolutely shower you with attention & affection anyway & whom you eventually talk yourself into dating, lowering your standards & settling for, because you start to believe they must really love you & will be reliable life partners, ... who then - once you give in & commit to them- end up taking liberties & giving you grief like no one ever before!
I think its a revenge for your not having wanted them at the start.
I wonder did this unattractive & arrogant sociopath have to lovebomb her before she gave in & fell in love with who she thought he was?
You are so on point, it's so true. And then you're beating yourself with "I should have listened to myself the first time!" when you end up in a world of sh^% for letting someone you didn't even like wear down your defenses. Though I don't understand the lady in this story. It looks like there wasn't even any passion in their relationship. Baby talk and bubble baths. Her loyalty to literal death is so puzzling.
💯+💯
Narcissists are famous for their love bombing. They don't know how to feel love but they display all the symbols of love: bubble baths, doting on you. Then they gaslight you and make you feel like you are a bad person for imagining they could do any harm.
@@MusgraveRitualSounds like what happened to me except I didn't die.

Nowadays I would get a background check done on the guy before marriage
They were both on their third marriage. Red flags 🚩
@jamesl9371 - yes. I did. Major debt, minor law infractions (lots) and a string of ex-wives. I dodged a bullet.
One of my previous coworkers said I was being too picky because she's already found 4 men to marry her. She was only 30 & on her 4th marriage! That's when I realized, SHE was THE big red flag! Scary how people go thru marriages like it's nothing.
She would have denied his past too. She found out about his little secrets and it changed nothing.
Rip to the victim but everyone tried to warn her and she yet still stayed this man knew self love was missing in her character and he took advantage of that
Truly genius people rarely brag about their intelligence.
Bright people don't have to declare they are members of Mensa. Intelligence has not saved the world from greed and pollution--it's enabled greed to be greedier--as in this case.

He got the idea from Agatha Christie's books. In one of her stories, nicotine is used by the murderer.
I thought exactly the same. Agatha was very clever and she worked in a pharmacy in her young years.
Brilliant. I forgot about that. Thanks
Yep. I remember reading the books n this sounded eerily familiar.
how was it done, did he soak a pack of cigarettes in water and extrcted nicotine from it?
@@nancymanliquez3930I'd Google it but I'm afraid I'd be questioned if ever my online life is hauled before a judge. 😂
She couldn’t have injected the nicotine by her hand if she was sedated. And the hi dose killed her in about 30 minutes and there was no one else in the house other than him and her. He’s guilty
Weren't those also known facts, known evidence years earlier when she died?
@@selcukcilek555 Not sure they saw those facts in the same light... but I don't think they (LE) had much knowledge of how swift nicotine acts on the nervous system. Plus, people smoked back then... who know what they thought about that?

Chilling. I lived a creepy parallel to Linda but I was lucky enough to get out in time. RIP Linda. So sorry for what happened to you!!
1993, the last decade killers could kind of get away with this stuff. no security cameras, no intersection traffic cameras, no gps, no digital records of purchases at stores, etc. glad we have the tech we do today.
Same. Crime is absolutely less because of this, in my opinion. I have cameras, tracking devices, etc of everything that happens on my 1.5 acres and it’s all pinging to my neighbors cams with ring neighborhood. You can track a car driving in/out…. A person walking. I feel safer as a single woman!

@matchhunter Not in this case
Love that DA..."the enema defense, the enema defense!!"😂
Here are 2 reasons why that good idea doesn't always happen :
1.)since medical care in the US is not socialized (its for-profit) , the insurance you have decides what is covered, not the doctors.
There are thousands of unknown toxins, many of which cannot be detected at all, (some also can present as poisons which they are not, which causes all sorts of other expensive issues)
Because of this, the usual procedure is to identify the possible source of the exposure, narrow down the possible culprits, and then test for specific likely causes one at a time.
