amazing techniques, thank u so much! shame you used only Octane materials as I don't have Octane. Is it possible to blend the colours with normal C4D materials? if so, how?
2 things here, what is meant by "Student", I'm 58 learning ZBrush on 3DCW(Shane Olson) but still a student. secondly , if I get a student licence how will that affect my licence for ZBrush now and in the future RE: the offer back in July 2022 switching from pixologic
Does anyone know how to stop the "popping effect from the blend cloner, it works fine with a cube to sphere the way he showed but any other geo snaps into shape, i was trying to do it with a capsule.
I have the constraint effector and the displacer on the correct spot, but when I hit play and allow for the dynamics to happen and the object hits the floor, the sphere doesn't appear like a soft body, Help.
Sometimes I wonder is experimentation (..title of video) really a good way to learn? Occasionally you have happy accidents, but mostly I move around within "my comfort zone" and don't really progress or learn anything new. Rather than aimlessly tinker about it might be better to watch 20 minutes of tutorials?
Is there anyone who tried to repeat the same technique but driven by 2 plains/cloners which one will be used for dynamics and another for blending? Any tips?
Yes, the forces and displacer have a linear falloff with similar settings to the Plain Effector. This ensures the original arrangement is unmodified until the transformation occurs.
For the first example, the color shader gradient colors the clones fine but they don't react to the height. They all just keep their same color regardless of position. How can I map a color to the low ones and change to a different color when they rise?
put a random effector above of the effectors with +y axis orientation that affect the color based on the height of the objects, if you check the video again he has a random effector on it, another solution could be copy the noise shader used in the displacer effector and paste it in the color tab of the c4d material where he puts the aerial topographic map
Use an RS Material Blender. Cube for base color RS Material, sphere RS Material for Layer Color 1, then hook up an RS Color User Data to Blend Color 1. Set Color User Data attribute name to Mograph Color on dropdown, should say RSMGcolor. With R23, I am using Field color remap gradient from linear field. Hope that helps, sorry it's late.
@@jeffreyhass6841 hello jeffrey I used the color user data redshift to drive the color shader but for any reason they are mapping my color shsaders randomly
Your welcome, just figured it out myself today. The thing I can't seem to get working are the settings for the constraint tag on the displacer which should affect the plain effector. Any idea?
Waynehedd I think he's trying to say that C4D will never be as popular as Maya or 3DS Max. As the only thing it can offer is Mograph. Most of the presentations are based on this module. At the same time it lacks many selection, modelling, UV tools and so on. It even has no node based material editor from the box. It's so lame.
....I'm trying to figure out how that changing colour thing works too. Never liked the shader effector. Maybe I should become a street sweeper instead
5 years later, still invaluable knowledge
this was AMAZING, DOUBLE, TRIPLE, QUADRUPLE LIKE!!!!!!!
I think you just applied a Mind Blown effector to me.
wow - what a presentation. Thanks Zach!
Thank you Zachary Corzine! God bless you!
Great presentation.
I have never thought of that ways to use cloner !
Very nice! You sir, have inspired a person who never tought to use or install C4D to play with it. Thanks a lot!
this is the real Zach king.
zach that was awesome! thank you, i am thirsty for more now.
Amazing
That demo machine though :O
All this great stuff, and its done without xpresso! Beautiful.. Thanks
Genius at work!
Very nice content thanks for sharing 🤜🤛
27:35 Please! How to create these trails after main object? They like creating by motion and decaying, when motion stops. Any tutorial?
I think it's just MOTION STRETCH Deformer. Should check it. hmmmm....
why when i put the color in the shader effector nothing happens??
amazing techniques, thank u so much! shame you used only Octane materials as I don't have Octane. Is it possible to blend the colours with normal C4D materials? if so, how?
I know I'm late to the party but how did you set that delay effector up to get this extreme bounce at 34:12?
It looks much cooler than without it.

have you?
@@tedemaquina cloner- Render instances uncheck it for render

Someone know how to use color shader in R20??
would like to know what parameters go in the signal tag
Amazing!!!
great presentation, I'm curious to know your lighting setup 11:08, why two hdri?
its not 2 hdrs, its one to define the refle/refra and one to define the bg probably as color or image (i suppose :P )
18:58 I get pinching on my sphere geometry due to using a cube (I can see division lines on the sphere surface). How can I avoid that?
Is there anyone who tried to repeat the same technique but driven by 2 plains/cloners which one will be used for dynamics and another for blending?

Awesome presentation. on 25:59 does all the forces and displacer need to have a linear falloff too? Or it's all set to infinite? Thanks
Yes, the forces and displacer have a linear falloff with similar settings to the Plain Effector. This ensures the original arrangement is unmodified until the transformation occurs.
I used the same settings but the displacer affects the arrangement before the plain effector. I feel like i'm doing something wrong with the displacer
just Great!
spectacular sight
whoaaaw thank you !!!
great, thank you
How to use the color shader without Octane?
How do i bake this animation once im happy with it?
how to like it twice?!
Excellent

nevermind i got it lol

Could you maybe explain how you achieved it? Been struggling for 4 days now.

On minute 31:58 I can´t select the sphere as a source, do you know why??
Make it editable - I had the same issue. I think it's only in R19 that you can do it the way he shows in the video.
Thanks shlndr!!
when i apply color shader with default cinema material nothing changes in octane viewer...
It should work, as long as you're using an effector to modify the colors.
I'll try again! Thank you.
Im having the same issue, the mograph colour shader, will not colour the clones, Ive tried it every which way,
Did you find a fix for this ?
no...
I am not able to change the color of the clones with the shader effector in Redshift. Please help
two materials into a material blender and a color user data (set to color) into the blend color
Rein Blank.. Thanks! Will give it a try!
Your welcome, just figured it out myself today. The thing I can't seem to get working are the settings for the constraint tag on the displacer which should affect the plain effector. Any idea?
Oh I finally figured it. With render instances checked on, the color data wasn't passing through the shader effector. When checked off, it worked!
Im not sure about which constraint tag you are asking about. I am just displacing the plain with the noise channel in the displacer.

C4D - Shit.
?...what are you trying to say?

woaaah, you are a rebel
I would never use anything else than Cinema 4D for motion graphics. It's so fast, fluid and easy to learn. Getting things to look great fast is easy.
I guess he's a fan of Autodesk shit and is angry that he can not repeat this: D
Great, thank you
