  • Bryan is a creative director, motion designer, and style-frame artist, with more than a decade of experience. His work relies upon Cinema 4D as a foundation for the creation of broadcast and commercial work. Bryan has worked with a wide range of clients including MPC, Framestore, The Mill, Toros Kose, Blacksmith, WeAreRoyale, HPE, Sarovsky, and Man Vs Machine. He is currently based in Los Angeles and NYC.
    In this presentation, Bryan breaks down how he simplifies his design work using a variety of techniques including deformers, mesh tools, cloners, texturing and lighting. He will also discuss working with pre-existing scenes from clients, utilizing layers to stay organized, and working with proper scene scale in order to achieve the best looking results. Bryan will explain a number of projects from his Broadcast and Commercial design work.

    Good stuff. Bryan's thought process is reminiscent of the simplicity of Discreet Logic days - Foreground / Background / Matte. That's all you need to know.

    now i wish you would take us through the render settings as you do these tutorials. im able to follow along cause im trying to develop my skills but i have plenty of unfinished project due to rendering. Thats something im stuck on

      I think most of this stuff is achievable just using standard renderer (b/w matte+colored) and then a lot of compositing (dof, blur, glows, etc) in AE. I also struggle with Octane when trying to do simple "data" stuff, and the solution is always to use the standard renderer (or sketch and toon!), then have fun in AE.
