tell me what have you done so far to troubleshoot your problem? From the information given I would think you are having a problem in between the main board and t-con board. General information. Also disconnect you wifi module - they can shut a tv down sometime plus you don't need it to troubleshoot your problem.
We have a 65" LG Smart Tv that will not connect to the wifi signal. It sees the signal . We have phones and computers that connect. It has connected before but stopped doing so this week. Previously when we had this issue, it said the wifi needs to be turned on. We took the back off and uncrimped the wires as shown on a video. This worked for a while. (It does not say it needs to be turned on now, as it sees the signals). Suggestions?

I have a 47” LG model #49LJ5100

It will not turn on. At first I would have to unplug it and plug it in to get it to turn on. Now it wound turn on I ordered a new replacement power supply and I got it to turn on again and now nothing any advice!
Put the original power supply back in. You were probably sold a bad power supply. These LG tvs have backlight issues that are very common. A bad backlight led will shut the tv down. I would pursue that course of troubleshooting if it was me. hope this help.
Hi from the UK. I have an LG 32LM620T -ZE (Serial No. 210MAXS93946) manufactured Oct 2012 (owned since new). It works perfectly except for when I use the remote. When I press any button the TV sometimes repeats the button continuously and the power light flashes repeatedly even when I cover the lens of the remote. I did the remote reset and put new batteries in. I also verified that the remote responds correctly by using my camera to view the infrared light. I suspect that it's the infrared module on one of the boards. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I have a LG 75um6970pub that started out flickering and would go in and out from a picture to vertical pink/purple lines then eventually went black will power on to backlight only any ideas on what I can try.
reseat ribbon cable between the main board and the t-con board. If no resolution, replace main board.

hello, not too sure if you are still active, but I have an LG 42lm620t-ze which the back light goes off after some time on, LG has discontinued the model but I was wondering if you might believe they could still be fixed? when holding a torch to the screen I can still see the picture I took it to my local TV repair shop and they said nothing could be done as LG doesn't supply the parts anymore,, any chance I could ask your thoughts please?

Have you tried to swap the ribbon cable between the t-con board and the LCD panel the see if the problem changes?. If not you may have a bad t-con board.

@@Patch1stripeTVParts I managed to get the back off the TV, can't get a T Con board at the moment, as soon as I do it will be replaced. Hopefully, this will solve the problem, maybe back to the drawing board if not
Is there any multimeter testing I could do on the board that may indicate an issue?
My tv is the LG 55UF6450 that was made in November of 2015. The standby light turns on when plugged in. When I turn it on nothing shows on the screen and I know it’s not a back light issue because I used a flashlight on it. The light on the main board in the back turns red so power is going to the main board from the power supply.
The voltage I get is 3.38v when it’s turned on but 0.01v when plugged in. Which I believe that means it’s on standby. Do you know what part could be defective?
The TV just stopped working and the only reason I could think of is a shortage of the power supply.
My T-con board is also getting around 13.14v which is what it says on my power supply chart of 13.2v and I’m new to all of this so what do you think the problem could be?
what did you see when you used the flash light? Did you see images? Do you have sound? Do your 3.38 volts change when you turn the power from off to on?
@@Patch1stripeTVParts No I did not see anything on the tv with my flashlight. I do not get sound from the tv.
The voltage only comes on when I power on the tv and when it’s off I don’t get any voltages and I also unplugged the power from the main board and still no back light.
I also tried replacing the power supply but that didn’t fix the issue and there was the same voltages on the one too. Which could be another bad power supply that I got from eBay
It also blinks three times then the light turns off when I press the power button. Which I believe is normal. Just no signal No backlight, No sound
@@Patch1stripeTVParts I had to small black buttons on my main board one top right and middle left side. The top one does nothing when I push it and the middle one I push it and the back light turn on and off.
I also accidentally touch two of the pins on the main board and it turned off the main board but it still works I just was wondering if I damaged it

Hello my son hit the middle of my tv with a steel pipe and made it black just the center. I see purple lines with blue and horizontal lines only in the bottom of the line . Is an LG Led 4K UHD Smart WebOS 75in UM6970PUB . What is my cost to repair the screen? Thank you
It is not economical to replace a lcd screen. The norm is to replace the damaged screen Tv.
I buy before 20 days LG um65' 7050 i put tv on the screen when i try to put HDMI and probably cause of pressure panel under screen is broker , i made mistake.? Can i fix this and what you purpose? THank you.
Once the LCD screen is damage there is nothing you can do to fix it. What you can do going forward is purchase another tv exactly like the one you are inquiring about and keep the broken one for parts for future repairs to the new one. My suggestion or harvest the parts from the broken one and sell them on ebay. Hope this helps
Thank you for your video! Ive got a weird issue on my LG 60UJ6050. I had it hooked up to my computer, when I got a weird black blob on the bottom right side of my tv. it appeared and a few seconds later the picture seemed to dissolve from the blob to the top left of my screen. I can power it on and I get backlight and sound, but I have no picture at all. Not even a menu or the LG start up logo. Any idea what it is? As long as its not the panel I can afford to fix it myself, just need to know what parts to order from you.

Hi, my lg uk6300plb 49 inch has an issue where I have an area which when things especially faces go through/pass it they go greyish like it's not lit properly.
It is a common occurrence with LG tvs that the fusion lens over the led lights fall off. That is my guess from what you described. Hope this helps.
okay guys i have nothing, no blue light, no red light no video no audio,i think a condesator blew up im not certain tho i'm opening it up right now and will update as i go.

Hi. My 2015 55lf6000 works fine but each time i turn it on we have to go through the set up. It acts like we unplugged it. I'm thinking main board but was told it could very well be the power board. Any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated

Hello Joe, LG has a common problem with back light failure. You have a bad led strip which will eventually lead to another and another failed led strip. I recommend that you replace your complete set of leds with brand new replacements. Hope this helps.

I have a problem with an old 32" LG TV where if i turn it on, the red light on the bottom starts flashing, but the picture never appears, and the red light just keeps on blinking. I did a quick test on the power supply, and it seems that when I turn on the TV, the voltages out of it are correct. What could be the issue here?

Arent you worried about voiding the warranty? Isnt there some sort of sticker or screw to let them know you've opened it up?
If you have a warranty let them fix it. Problem solved.

Maybe I should have worded it differently I thought these videos usually come with a warning like "dont open this up yourself or you will void your warranty because of this screw here or that sticker there" sort of thing... I guess if you do it it doesnt matter
My son threw a toy at my LG 55 inch it now has force damage on the screen it’s left lines going both ways and a big square box across half of my screen where the toy hit it looks like a crack I’d see on a stone chipping glass but my glass is not broke it’s the screen behind the glass if that makes sense
There is no screen behind the glass. There is no glass covering anything - it's all the LCD panel. It's is not economical to replace. Replace the tv.

Hello,
I am having issues with my tv.
LG 65UH6030-UC LED 4k.
The LED does come on when plugged in.
The backlights do come on.
The screen looks black but seems to be somewhat illuminated.(black/blueish)
I replaced the t-con board.
I replaced the mainboard.
Problems still exist.
No I'm not sure what to do from here.
I do have pictures.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Anyways, i am having issues repairing an LG tv. I replaced the mainboard and the t con already but have the same symptoms. The led is on and the backlights are on as well. when i turn the tv on the screen the screen lights up a blueish black color that is illuminated but dim.There are no images on the screen such as menu or anything.

@@carlmarten6378 Those cff cables do go bad sometimes but I want you to turn on your tv in a dark room and tell me if the screen is the same intensity of blue horizontally throughout the whole screen. I need to know if you see a dark and light thing going on in the screen. Hit me back.
Hey, I turned the TV on in the dark and I don't see any horizontal lines. The entire screen is kind of a purple blue hue. I tried switching inputs and menu button with the remote and did the flashlight test but I dont see any images just a solid screen of dim purple/ bluish color. No vertical or horizontal lines at all..🤔
@@Patch1stripeTVParts Hello, I replaced all three boards and i also disconnected the wifi board but i am still having the same issue. i also replaced all the cables connecting all boards. I see there are two long circuit boards that run along the bottom of the tv and the lvds ribbons plug into them and they are located right near the wifi board. Could it be those boards? i havent seen any repair videos reference those boards. Do you know what they are called and what they might do?

Thank you for the Great information. It not only tells me a lot it also makes me feel confident that I can maybe repair this dead TV I have. It is only about a year old and should have lots of life in it yet. It is a 55UH6030 LG.
