Hot hatchbacks have a tougher balancing act to pull off than most performance cars. They've obviously got to be quick and they need to be seen to be quick - image and reputation being vital in this market - but they must also appeal to a wide audience. Honda Type-R enthusiasts were appalled when the fastest version of the eighth generation Civic was unveiled and the manufacturer freely admitted it was more refined, easier to use and not much faster than the previous model. Was Honda selling out, chasing mass appeal at the expense of the hardcore Type-R customer base? They needn't have worried. - Авто та транспорт
Well done & well said mate! Amazing review! Actually, I own this car and can admit that It's an amazing car that gives this racing feeling despite Golf etc with each more grand tourer character for the elderly. Bravo!

This is actually the 3rd Type R civic, not 2nd. The EK9 was the first, allbeit only sold in Japan, and the EP3 was the 2nd, but the first that was sold in europe
I don't know who this presenter is but this is a very good review of this car. I would of liked more information on the details like LSD and specific torque and bhp comparison figures but either way it was a good review and presented well and worth watching.

Always wanted to buy one of these, Currently have an old 08 plate 1.8 petrol Civic. Good video and good detail, But now looking at a Civic Tourer due to expanding family.

No way a family hatch. Has it got the space for a small family? - yea. But a 2 door is not a family car. Its Impressed me how big the boot is in the Fn2, how versatile the car is as a daily. It's definitely a car that can grow with you, and the interior looks bang on the money even now. Honda's attention to detail in styling is another level in the Fn2 type R. Apart from the factory stereo there is not one but of the interior that I don't like and isn't purposefully styled. Alot of thought has gone into the styling inside. If you can drive the rear visibility is no problem whatsoever.
