- AEA Challenger Pro 22 Cal Slug Power Test - A follow-up video to the popular AEA wood 2x4 power test. Many of you wanted to see this test shot with heavy slugs. The AEA is a Beast of an air gun that delivers high impact and big energy. We used H&N, WildMan, and NSA Slugs (Plus JSB Beast). Wood 2x4s and plate steel did not fare well against the AEA Challenger Pro 22.

Pellet shop is the best place to buy air gun , unfortunately I have some really bad experiences from other stores , but the guns I got from pellet shop always been really brand new , no scratches with a book and new mags and absolutely no issues w them

AEA makes powerful air rifles, but incredibly unreliable. The mags are junk, and warranty service is terrible. Hopefully the Challenger is better.

I own the .30 cal pro, and the power is awesome . I have got about 140 ftlbs from it!
It's just the AEA company, using cheap shit on a very accurate and powerful platform, but The Pellet Shop will do what they can to satisfy their customers!

That's a great question and one I've tried to answer for over a year now. The short answer is No. 16 GA steel is really tough to shoot through. It will stop a 22 Long Rifle rimfire round. I did fine one air rifle that made it through easily 16 GA steel at 50 yards. Check out this video...

The NSA Slugs were .217. The H&N were .218. Not sure what the Wildman slugs were.

I want to shoot at 100Y, and am trying to decide if 22 cal can perform at this range, or should I go to 30 cal? The way this 22 is hitting at 50, I am almost thinking that 1 MOA might be possible. Comments?
I have really not tried the AEA Challenger Pro at 100 yards. They are very powerful rifles. I will try to get out to the range to in Sept and try the 22 and 30 cal at 100 yards. Thanks

No air leaks. I got the tank on Amazon. They are great tanks.
Great video! That thing connected to eye piece of your scope (to shoot videos?), what brand is that? Any recommendations to start off with. I'm looking for my first one, so probably nothing too pricey. Any tip on what to avoid in such devices? Thank you.

@@voltron_5 You can buy the phone clamp version for $30 and it works beautifully, and you can use your zoom on your phone at the same time when using it👍 I have 5 of them along with other night vision and thermal scope clamp-ons.

30 Cal is coming soon in April. :-)
I had to return my aea Challenger after a week. Could not fill it up full of air without the gun locking up.
Jsb pellets are definitely spiraling at 1000fps.
I was ok with spiraling for a power test. I plan to post more videos on the same gun for accuracy - I will slow the pellets down for accuracy.
@@backyardairguns What's the point of the power test without accuracy? The goal is to produce as much power as possible and still be accurate. Not the opposite way around, lol.
