Was allowed to shoot this yesterday when I stopped in. This is truly amazing. I have a Daystate RW. The Epoch trigger is better. Easier to use than the RW. RW barrel swap is easy. Epoch is far better in that area. Just an awesome product. I will get one at some point.

I can speak to the accuracy. I visited Skout Airguns, and I have shot an entire magazine at 100 yards SOB MOA at their 100-yard range. You can add music to the voice and program what you want it to say.
Got my eyes wide open on this one! This gun really interest me since I saw the first video. Good stuff AGoM!

Oh yeah... almost forgot, an EPOCH (pronounced with a short O vowel sound) is a notable period in time. An EPIC ( pronounced with a short i vowel sound) is a long narrative poem or story. Lol..
It’s big money for sure, but it’s great to see that they at least divulge the twist rate. A good friend of mine had major issues with DayState because he couldn’t get ANY info on the twist rate of his Alpha Wolf which made the idea of shooting slugs out of it daunting to say the least. They are apparently top secret on the rate. He shortly afterward got rid of it. It’s a shame really, because he was so excited to have it. Kudos to Skout
It is VERY EASY to measure the twist rate of a barrel. Very easy, To call this top secret is laughable in my eyes.
Daystate never said this whas a slug gun. They said its a pellet gun its everywhere around the internet.
Daystate is coming with slug barrels in the next couple of months.

This rifle makes me exciting! It’s an interesting one for sure. The thing Tom says about the valve closing very quickly in the rifle, i doubt that.
The reason that the rifle is so loud, is because the valve is still open after the pellet has leaved the barrel (that’s why they come with an air stripper i think). Im curious if that can be adjusted with the dwell time in the settings and still have the same speed.
Some technical guys here in The Netherlands have calculated that the Epoch use 1,4 liters per shot, while the M3 use 0,9 liters per shot with the same pellet weight at the same speed. The epoch can operate at lower regulator pressure, but needs more air what results in a louder rifle. But, lower pressure means also less wear and tear and can probably came with more benefits. Just my thoughts on the rifle..
I think this platform has lots of potential. I’m also really curious what the evo is going to bring us. Got the feeling Skout comes in my collection really soon.
If it is hefty is not a problem. I want it for bench shooting ! Accuracy and a steady velocity with easy repairs for o-ring replacement is going to be the selling point for me in the 22 caliber .

Not a knock- ( FUN FACT) , a reality observation; I’ve not owned a full sized truck, only vehicles I’ve had, in my 50 years “ of driving” that cost $3000.00. 🤣🤷♂️ Just saying. Left on side of road “ maybe “ three times. Been from Cali to Florida and back. Nebraska and back. On and on - add 50 years factor.

I do like the technology being brought over from the paintball guns over to the pcp's. It looks like a better firing solution than using an hammer to open the valve and less springs overall involved in the overall shooting cycle. What I want to see now is the accuracy and overall performance spec. for the rifle and in different power settings.
So do I for sure, if you have any pull with mother nature, send some warm weather this way!!!
@@abitoutside I don't know why since Skout has this rifle almost ready to start shipping why they don't have all they aspects of the Epoch's performance out there in a complete review of the rifle. I would of had someone like AEAC already done a complete review of the rifle. That way potential buyers could make an informed decision now as to whether or not buy. That too would certainly help Skout in knowing demand for the rifle and production needs.

Dang! Solenoid valve, no valve ping! Perhaps the voice could go to Bluetooth if a person is using it for hunting. But then again it could ask if you took the garbage out before you headed out. Or remind you to mow the yard when you get home 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Yes. The cocking handle is detachable via two screws and swappable to the opposite side in less than two minutes, so lefties should have no problems.
Agreed the cocking handle is swappable however, the magazine is not so we will be looking into it to see if it is in fact comfortable. I have a buddy who shot it left-handed. we will find out his take after we do some more shooting.

I love this gun but why! Why didn’t they add a pickrail to it nobody likes bottle clamps! And the other option seems to be a split bipod using the mlok above the barrel. so i guess I can’t use my atlas bipod on it nooooooo :(

For the moment, the two options you mentioned are the only solutions. However, that is already being addressed, and there are several accessory designs already in the works.

Good citizens take training courses to have the knowledge about Safety Rules and Practise regular.
Will better guns be made as future Smart Guns that Warn you and Record you, +Plus prevent you from Firing or even just Shut Down.
Aren't we all adults over 18- 21 years old, so we don't need any Directives from a smart gun.
I would rather have a dozen manual guns than a single Skout Epoch.

While Hunting the Voice from this Epoch GUN may sound off and be heard by your Quarry that bolts like lightning to get away.
Either wise it appears to be a good choice if it meets your needs.

The standard barrel (25") that I was shooting at an average of 888fps was creating 77 fpe. This speed, although somewhat slow IMO, gave us very good results.

What's to worry about? The technology has been in use for more years than we would believe, and it works flawlessly.
@@abitoutside I'm not worried about how it works I don't have a need to have batteries in my gun to charge just to shoot my gun plus if I take off on a hunting camping trip for a week or two how do I charge my gun can't no electric ??? So as awesome as it is it also has a huge down fall. Ps carrying extra air tank is hard enough with the gear
You will get more shots from one charge than you will shoot in a week or more. You should look into it, I think you would be surprised.
@@zzep69 The electronics are only driving the solenoid. Typically in paintball guns I get 10000s rounds from a 9v. (or 6 months). The spool valve is super efficient and smooth. Just a different concept in airgun terms but 15years+ in paintball evolution.
Shame they "thought of everything", yet somehow seemed to have missed the opportunity to add or make provisions to add a arca rail.
Everything I been following gets me pumped on the gun.. then I get depressed thinking about being locked into a overbore bipod.
Otherwise I think there is a lot of value in what is there... But for the love of God p please come up with a arca rail for this thing!
They absolutely did, thank God they didn't add an arca rail to the bottom! Imagine all the people who use pic rail bipods or who use bags! Boy would that limit sales!!! Easier to add a rail that I believe they are developing then to have to take your brand new gun to the bandsaw to remove something you don't want 😉. Have no fear nsboost, lots of parts are coming. You will be able to get arca for sure.
This is probably going to be like $3,000, that's to much for a airgun.

Lol, why not.. my Daystates are both electronic and so are many paintball guns. Electronic guns are much more tunable and more reliable than mechanical guns.

American made and much higher quality than Daystate.
Let's be honest. Daystate quality is top-notch. I have owned many, and they are all great airguns. The Skout guns are very well made also.
