Of course I am the leading authority on such matters. For me it all started when I was in the military and became a combat and wilderness survival expert after years of extensive battle action in war zones and it made me the elite , simply the best of the best, Then I decided to travel the world and of course I was damaged from all the war zones I had been in so I got in trouble as I roamed the world and this put me in the most dangerous maximum security prisons in the world were I didn't just survive but I thrived and became the top of the food chain in prison. But I paid the price for my ultimate indiscretions , then as I got freed the UFC was just starting a woman division and I said to Dana no need to pay me I'll do this stuff for free. Naturally the woman division was in its infancy so I dominated and there was talks of me fighting men because I was that SUPERIOR . These days I live off the grid in a life of solitude with nature. BUT of course with all my training I am the best of the best, so if I ever see a chopper on the horizon followed by a squad of police I know I am about to be summoned on a mission of madness to save people stranded in caves. I am the very best and when all else fails they come and get me to take care of business

@@billsanders9387stay safe buddy. Not many things I won't do. I skydive, I hang from the edge of roofs every day with no harness 50-60 ft high. But no way will I try to squeeze through a crack like a mouse. NO WAY JOSE

Thank you for coming along as we are still out here adventuring to the best of our abilities. There was a lot to see in this cave. But there's very little life to see if you only watch others.
If you guys ever need a hole watch, I am in the area and met Grandpa Bill and have his phone number, ill give him a call this spring. I am an outdoors guy and hunter for 31 years. Or maybe I can go with Grandpa and keep him company, but ya won't see me doing the things you guys are doing, this is really a VERY VERY UNDERRATED EXTREME SPORT!!! It takes extreme energy, strength, smarts and very few people in the world can do this! I liked the Ape Caves a few times but that's about all I am going to do LOL I just love being in the woods exercising and enjoying the fresh air and wildlife. I know where there's some old mines but looks like you guys are doing more natural caves. Seems to be a LOT of caves near big mountains the old Volcano lava flows. Great entertainment watching lol I also have extra hand held radios and other outdoors stuff, I'm pretty strong if needing to pull a fella up by rope or what not. Keep up the great content guys!

@@miketyson8933 Grandpa here. I look forward to sharing a cave or two when the snow leaves. There are a few we snowshoe to in the Winter, as the underground temp down not vary much in the caves.

:3 I would bring very strong nutritional supplements (especially for non-vegans who barely consume veggies and fruits, and the fact soil is so awful in most of the world, leading to high deficiencies), power banks, several long-range walkie-talkies, extra flashlights, pepper spray (I carry that in general), loads of water (especially since about 75% of Americans are chronically dehydrated, etc.
Make sure to alert others above ground in case you don't come back at a certain time. I've never explored caves, but that's what I would do.

@@kevintrejo6714 We tried driving in cities and on freeways. Even our caving gear had road rage! That wasn’t our cup of tea at all. Back to the mines!
I used to hardly be able to even watch this, and now I find it enjoyable, so I'm convinced that maybe someday I could stomach crawling through a cave too 😂 thanks for all the awesome content!
We started with easy but remote walking caves, and gradually advanced to the more challenging ones.

@@CalvinHikes I wish! :) There aren't any actual caves in my area outside of one park in the next state over and it's expensive to get in and closed for the season because of the snow. When the weather gets better I can go south and west to get to the other caves :)

I'm really surprised how much lighting you have to share your experience with your viewers. It actually feels like we are crawling through these nooks and crannies by your side.
We carry enough light to last about 2 weeks. Lots of big bright lights for the sake of the video. It actually makes it more fun when we are on the cave as well. Because the darkness can get to a person after a while.

Far is a very abstract word. Every cave is different. Sometimes they are many miles long sometimes only a few hundred feet. Sometimes we are in for multiple days sometimes a trip only takes a few minutes.
This cave on this lava field, there are hundreds of caves within a very small area. This is one of the larger ones.

That human ladder maneuver was a perfect execution. Jacob has incredible finger and forarm strength now, and with your extensive knowledge it truly shows. Although we typically recommend avoiding this tactic we can all agree that the only way to do it right in a survival situation is to practice! So great practice it was flawless!
That's our most fun dangerous move! We did it several times in this cave but the other portions will be in the unedited version of the video.

Previously I suggested maybe trying to dislocate your shoulder and hip joints to aid tighter squeezes. If you are understandably hesitant about limb dislocation how about trying it out with Grandpa first ? Just a thought 👍
Your problem is the same as everyone elsees. You suggest things that you assume we have not already done.
It's our plan to wait until grandpa is bedridden and loses weighthis is wait because he stops eating. As he withers away he will be more and more fit for caving
