Can't help but always think of the narrow path of Jesus's walk when you talk about these passage ways. Such effort, such commitment, to make it through, and not many can do it.
I never remember the endings so I was trying to justify why someone would think we hit our head. But then I was like... ohhhhhhhh, yes. Also of note, we intend to wear those suits in a cave.
I randomly found you and Jacob on UA-cam and just wanted to say you guys are awesome fr so straight forward about everything love watching you two since I'm to chicken to go in a cave lol
I want to see you pull yourself back out of there. I've been in tighter places where I had to unlock my shoulders to get out and squirm like a worm to get up back up through there so I know what you're dealing with.
Yep, I've had to push myself backwards in a slightly vertical passage, head down, with just... shoulder shrugs against the rock walls to reverse your direction
Great stuff guys, much respect. But watching the use of the descender at 6:06 needs addressing, you must have a firm downward grip on the brake strand (rope dangling below you) if possible at all times 100% when pulling the lever to descend, very dodgy. Keep it up though and very entertaining 👊👊. Stay safe
Hi lovlies.. Loving that I'm struggling with anxioty watching this while your calling it fun... Lol but truthfully we love your post stay safe and well big holiday hugs from THE UK.
Hello! Big fan of the videos and get me very excited to explore! I’m also a climber and a worker at heights(on wind turbines) and wanted to comment on Jacob’s hands when descending, typically you’d want one hand on the device and one hand on the brake line(bottom line)
Yes thank you. This is the conversation I have with Jacob 74 times a day. Perhaps if I let him know that viewers even notice, he will be a little more self conscious about it. That being said, it is tricky in those tight spots to use the gear properly.
It was harder and a lot harder for Jacob. It becomes a strength move. There are other caves similar to this which getting into is simple enough but getting out of can be very tricky. vertical gear doesn't work very good in tight passages.
Whenever we are on the line, that is the most danger we put ourselves in. Whether it looks like it or not, with these rocks falling down and the tight cramp spaces while on the rope... that's legitimately dangerous. Every video we have after this for the next few months will be pretty scary.
@@CalvinHikes the only "good" thing is that there are few places on earth where there is less danger that the phone and data could end up in the wrong hands 😎
There is a huge cave in Utah near where I live called The Main Drain. You guys should come here to check it out. But be sure to bring all the rope you have. Haha
Maaaan I watched many of your videos and I honestly think you enjoy your life at fullest. Just woow I would never enter a caves tht u explore but if I do some day I will do it with u
In my family's cave in Missouri, there is a spring fed creek running through it. Those salamanders are in there but they have clear skin where you can see the bones and organs. Not sure what kind they are but very cool to see
That's interesting. I don't think it's a specific kind of salamander which is translucent... I think it's just due to whatever is underground in the darkness. Even this breed of cascade salamander can get very translucent. I've seen all kinds of critters (in the dark) that lose their pigmentation over time and you can see their bones. It's really neat.
@@CalvinHikes yeah for sure, i can't even imagine the strenght that requires to do all that, I appreciate the effort that you guys do to record the video for us ❤️
Discovered this channel after watching the John Jones video... I was terrified of Cave Diving, but after watching y'all's safety videos and explorations I suppose it is not as terrifying of a hobby as I originally thought. Not sure if I would want to go cave diving, but I would not be afraid of exploring a cave... as long as there is a guide and no spiders lol.
No spiders is a tough ask! Caving may be dangerous but it's certainly not as dangerous as the John Jones incident would lead folks to believe. His death was truly a one off of its kind.
@@CalvinHikes Yes, and the more I research the situation there are so many red flags. Especially going in head first and continuing into the tight crevice when already stuck. There's a second page if you want more darkness.
@@CalvinHikes who doesn't want more darkness!? *evil laugh that echoes in a cave*
wow that ending was insane that speech was amazing keep up the amazing work and stay safe out there.
Thank you!
With that ending, it makes me wonder if you've hit your head a few too many times. Great video, keep them coming, and be safe.
Thank you so much that's very cool!
After watching you videos I went from "no way" to "yeah I want to do it". Great channel!
Well there you go! Welcome to the dark side.
I love your videos!!! Jacob is an animal for being such a young man!
Yes thank you.
These have become my favorite vids!! Keep up the great work!!
Thank you so much!
Stay safe
I keep watching these videos they are addictive and entertaining. Makes me want to explore a beginner cave now. Seems like an interesting challenge.
It's definitely a super interesting challenge. And it's very fun.
You guys are awesome 😎 Jacob will be such a gem to caving Exp 🔥
But right now, he’s just a teenager addicted to caving. Normally a very quiet kid. Caveman’s dad
I care , it's why I watch , make sure u come out & have a audience, 💖🐕
You’re a faithful viewer. We’re safer than it often appears.
Thanks for your Great Videos! Not planning any Cave Tours, your Videos are enough. Thanks mate and pls keep uploading 👌
Youre welcome and thank you!
Hi from UK, been waiting for another video and you delivered!!! I only wish I were there with you guy's it looks awesome 👍
This was a pretty tough cave! Videos Uploaded on the main page about once every 3 weeks. On the 2nd page, every week.
I am glad you make these videos it’s fun to watch you guys exploring caves. Takes me back to when I was a kid and knew nothing of danger.
Danger never changes. Only our idea of what it is.
Hi lovlies.. Loving that I'm struggling with anxioty watching this while your calling it fun... Lol but truthfully we love your post stay safe and well big holiday hugs from THE UK.
Thank you mum!
The scary part of this for me would be getting back up, i imagine it's even harder than descending
It was harder and a lot harder for Jacob. It becomes a strength move. There are other caves similar to this which getting into is simple enough but getting out of can be very tricky.
vertical gear doesn't work very good in tight passages.
the scary part for me would be thinking about caving, the drive there, the entrance, the middle, and the return
You get it! Other than that it’s a walk in the woods. Caveman’s dad. Still underground at 73.
@@highdesertbiker so everything haha
@@saiyan1191 haha correct , except for when I'm high on shrooms then sometimes I like it
Damn. Out of all the your vids that I've seen so far this one has got to be the most scary/dangerous looking one. 👍🤙
Whenever we are on the line, that is the most danger we put ourselves in. Whether it looks like it or not, with these rocks falling down and the tight cramp spaces while on the rope... that's legitimately dangerous.
Every video we have after this for the next few months will be pretty scary.
@@CalvinHikes I look forward to watching them 🙂🤙
When your phone fell my jaw dropped 😲 Glad you could easily recover it!!
Was talking to a friend last night who dropped his phone and could not recover it! I understood his pain... the dropping part.
@@CalvinHikes the only "good" thing is that there are few places on earth where there is less danger that the phone and data could end up in the wrong hands 😎
@@NaDa4swf uhhhh
@@saiyan1191 he spoke facts.
Watching this sweating like crazy! You guys are incredible
Thank you! We should make fake merch where we sell talc powder for sweaty hands.
The advice you give to these young people is amazing
Thank you!
man that last little segment in the car was super inspiring
Wow, thank you! I'm glad.
I like the chortle when faced with a tough squeeze. Sometimes you gotta laugh at life's pinches an knuckles.
Every night before I sleep I look up in the quiet and I chortle. Rather loudly. ; )
There is a huge cave in Utah near where I live called The Main Drain. You guys should come here to check it out. But be sure to bring all the rope you have. Haha
There's a couple caves in Utah we intend to get over and see. We can hit that within driving distance.
I can’t even imagine the feeling of horror I would have if I was standing 100’s of feet down into one of those cracks .
You two deserve a few million subscribers at the least
Thank you! Time is all we need.
Maaaan I watched many of your videos and I honestly think you enjoy your life at fullest. Just woow I would never enter a caves tht u explore but if I do some day I will do it with u
Thank you very much. People do not have to cave but everyone is capable of living life to the fullest. It is not easy. But it is possible.
Cool how they keep talking instead of dwelling on the task.. they keep their mind calculating..
Cave chatter is calming.
Getting back to the UA-cam after fighting covid for weeks...right back to getting a fix of caving vids! Great stuff as usual 👍
glad you're feeling better. Caving has been a covid free experience!
Hope to have a bond like that with my son one day. Awesome videos keep it up.
Kind words. He’s the nephew with an insatiable appetite for exploring.
Love your adventures thank you for the excellent information in all matters!
Especially in insanity? Caveman’s dad
Most are not experts but rather risk takers then expect others to risk their lives to rescue them.
You are so wrong! We ARE the rescuers in our area, and you need us immediately!
What the hell is wrong with me? I'm claustrophobic, can't sleep, so decide to watch this. Why?!!! I'm a mess lol
You fit in our fraternity quite well. Thanks, Bro!
I guess I’m not the ONLY FUNGI down here great laugh kid love it man
Not one of us is sane. Cave chatter helps with the nerves.
jacob go get help please and stay calm. i am stuck pinned under a rock
The safety protocols are much more than you see. Caveman’s dad
Very cool video, what a difficult cave huh??? Nice music choice at the end, reminded me of The Last of Us, The forest too ❤️
This was a difficult cave all things considered. And a little bit dangerous with all the breakdown and falling rock.
I've seen some awesome cave explorations it always amazes me what people find! Makes me wonder if we have caves worth exploring in Indiana... but like I said I would only go with a group and if I didn't have to worry about spiders LOL.
I'm thinking that we might make a direct reenactment video. Something real scary where we actually stuff ourselves in a tube upside down. I'm not sure if that's been done on UA-cam.
@@CalvinHikes that would be awesome! I would love to see a reenactment of the john jones situation! you guys are great. Always great content 😊
Jacob.....I appreciate you for making that pun! Don't listen to Calvin. He's just jealous!
Caveman’s dad here. Jealousy runs in the family. We all enjoy caving to some degree. Jacob is tough to keep up with.
I grew up in the 90s and was always told to stay away from crack...sooooo I'll leave it to the professionals. That's a wild cave! The mushroom Joke was a good one 😂
Crack kills! This was actually fairly dangerous.
New to discover this chanel but im enjoying your contents i hope more caving videos to come!
We upload videos about once a month on this channel. On our 2nd channel, less edited vids about once a week.
Welcome to the dark side.
Well done guys!! 👏👏 Regards from London!
You live in an amazing city. Thanks for watching
Love the videos but those British gents at the end of the video are staunch and haughty. =)
Glad for the upload, my nails were getting too long, now they gone....
In the future, we'll help keep them VERY short. Can you reach your toes?
@@CalvinHikes oh please dont give me ideas :D
Saw your vids before but not the captain caveman sticker on your helmet. Class.
Thank you. My parents have called me caveman since birth. I was a fat baby who ate everything.
Loved your ending. You guys clean up pretty well.
Thank you!
It's so sad that thy found there bodies and cameras 4 years later
If you only knew the safety protocol in the sport of caving, you’d relax. Caveman’s dad at 73 and still going underground.
