You could have put chains on after your mutiple tries, would have made the climb easily, and or winch ahead from thr front before attempting the climb if you don't want to be there for long trying over and over again. No matter how much peer pressure you feel, always take your time
I was just goofin around. I only had 150ish miles since I had re-geared and done all the suspension and steering stuff. I was going easy. Chains would be fun for the snow, I thought about making some to fit around the 40s.
I agree. The fj80 doesnt have on board air yet so we only aired down to 12 psi so i could fill up at the nearest gas station. The crew we were with ended up filling the tires for me as we left- Nick
Nice! Tell me more about your steering and front panhard. Looks like high steer and the panhard is really flat? Did you change the mount on the axle? Where did you get the steering setup? What part of Washington are you in?
@@papapeppa6198 I used Front range offroad knuckles and high steer. The panhard mounts I had to custom make to get the bar flat and as long as possible. The axle side bracket dog legs over the steering knuckle. Ill make an overview video soon and go over everything. The steering arms i cut to length and added weld in bungs for the heim joints I also added PSC hydro assist. Im in Vancouver Washington
I swapped factory e-locker axles into it and wired them to my switch pros control panel. I can control them individually in both high and low range - Nick
Thanks for sharing the fun video man, makes me miss the majestic Pacific Northwest. I need to move back to Seattle and start on my 5.3 ls swap. Got the marks adapter.@@projectdriver1525
I love it here. Too bad i dont get out enough to enjoy it. I need to start collecting parts for mine but i have a few projects to get done first.@@wiynwiyn
Love this FJ80. One day I’ll afford one.
I couldn't afford current market prices. Glad i got into them years back. - Nick
Nice set up can I get more pics and info on 3link kit or parts tks

Looks like so much fun. Also I think airing down a bit more would've helped.

Dude you're voice sounds exactly like mine, owner of a 92 Land cruiser here, i go up in the Vermont Mountain Snow too
Video doesn't do that incline at LaDee justice, in person it's way steeper lol, sweet FJ80. I'm getting ready to do 40's myself on my taco.
Video never does any trail justice. Thanks! 40s look so good on a tacoma! - Nick
What bumpers do you have? I love those designs!
What state are you guys in tks again mine is same year.
Are you making more videos with this rig? 😉

Custom. I made it a few years ago
Your tire pressure shoulda been at like 2
Agreed. I wasn't trying to get into anything crazy while testing out everything that had just been installed
Whats up with 80s owner and aussies, i got a 80 and a aussie too, and its not the third time ives seen a 80 owner thats also a aussie owner.
That rear bumper is cool, what brand is it? Are you in Washington? If so where was this trail? Thanks
Thanks. I built the bumper\ swingout myself. Yes I'm in Washington. This trail was in Oregon, LaDee flats. - Nick

@@projectdriver1525 ya, I can’t afford to go that route. Any recommendation on elockers? I’m not a fan of air lockers.
Btw- which year is yours?
@@sdgupt I don"t have experience with other elocker brands. This one is a 1991.
Stock engine?
Yes, stock 3fe. Very underpowered but reliable. One day is will get a chevy 5.3 swap. - Nick

@@wiynwiynI was just wondering can you put a turbo on a 5.3 and if yes do you think it would make a big enough difference?
dude just floor it. Pedal to metal
I only had a few miles on it after doing the lockers, gears, steering etc. so I was taking it easy. I'm also light footed off-road to begin with.
Height of the total vehicle?
I think its around 7'
What I’m lift are u on?
Dobinsons 6" springs and shocks. Custom front and rear 3 link that I put together and installed. - Nick
Watching this guy drive is almost as bad as listening to his boyfriend giggle and say dumb shit in the background.
Guess your boyfriend is the quiet top-guy
