WHere can i get one of those VEMS ECU's, that are plug and play, i have a mk3 with a VRT on stock ECU haha (some fueling issues as you can assume) it works fine but if you push it hard it fails at some point.
Clean and beautiful!
Dude you're voice sounds exactly like mine, owner of a 92 Land cruiser here, i go up in the Vermont Mountain Snow too
Sweet build ❤
What state are you guys in tks again mine is same year.
Nice set up can I get more pics and info on 3link kit or parts tks
Sweet Build !! Classic VW meets Modern VW Golf !! 😊 ❤
Beautiful! What shock absorbers and springs did you use? Or what coil overs did you use?
Love to hear it run!
How tall is your rear notch
From top of stock frame to bottom of notch is about 10"
On the frame piece, why didnt you make a template and draw it in cad so it would fit exact? Just wondering. Its good work.
I cant remember why. I was lazy or didn't have enough time to cad it out.
When the back of the frame is all the way down, are the bags completely collapsed?
Yes, the bags are fully collapsed when all the way down.
T@projectdriver1525 the reason I say that is many people just put bags in and they're not collapsed and they don't get full lift and have to have more air pressure to lift and thus ride very stiff.
@@michaelwhite-oi1ft I made sure it would lay flat on the ground with the air bags collapsed. Im also using the 2600 series bags that are a little bigger than most use. More lift with less air pressure for that softer ride.
@projectdriver1525 the 2600 should be the smallest one anyone would use on the rear of a full size truck. On the front I'd use an HE8 or equivalent.
@@projectdriver1525 looks great.
looks great! lets do my alltrack next :D
Coming along nice! any update on the project?
I have been saving up and buying some parts. Ill start back on the videos very soon
@@projectdriver1525 Thanks for the response I will be waiting patiently 😀
Thats not a C notch. A C notch is a C shaped piece of pipe welded in the frame. Thats a step notch. Been called a step notch since the 80s. Looks good.
haha Yeah i know. I'm still not comfortable with recording and talking so whatever words come out is what you get. I appreciate you watching!
Well it did an excellent job cutting that pizza
Where did you buy that cutting table? I need one of those so I can make stuff at home instead of buying
it was a laser engraver on amazon that i adapted my plasma cutter to. They no longer sell that one. You can use 3d printer parts to make a similar table.
That is one really nice and clean build!! 😎🔥
That poor truck another good truck ruined by a dumb lowering crown vic kit😢
Where you been man it’s been 7 months at this time since your last video for the f-100 build episode 6 and you where dropping everything month.
I know we have been slacking. Waiting for parts and motivation. Should have some videos out soon!
That headlight trim looks mean asf
Thanks for sharing David. Nice build bro
What shop is this in the PNW? I’m pretty serious about building a 4motion mk1 or mk2 but don’t have the time to do it myself. Been looking for a shop willing to take on the project at least for the 4motion conversion. Would you guys be willing?
You're doing some good and fabrication. 👌👍
Thanks its been a fun project!
I know this video is old but do you have info on how you did the watts link?
I can talk about it in our next video. All that work was done over a few weeks and I forgot to talk about the watts link somehow.
I tuned in to see the watts link fab but you glossed over it lol
Dude, that's a mf'n C notch ... following, I have a 2007 Crown Vic, I'm going to get my 1970 F100 I to lay frame.
It was a little taller than originally planned. If I placed the bags on the links it would lift higher and wouldn't have had to notch the rear so much much.
Hey David!! Thanks so much for sharing your incredible Mk2 build. Also, super stoked to see DJM still killing it in the PNW. Looks like they have come a long way since that first shop way back in the day. Good for them and good for you sir. Keep being awesome!
What bumpers do you have? I love those designs!
Very very bad driver!!!! Go driver license 🪪 school 🏫
I love that C and C setup. Who do I contact to get that system? Love the Progress and your content is very helpful and informative. Great Build
Nice Build!!!! And what better than a Bumpside Ford.......My Favorites! Happy owner of 3 Bumps All Stock suspension, 3/4 ton with all the original goodies.2 Crew cabs with short box. 1 is 4x4, one 2wd. Then my Sweet Survivor is a 70 Sport Custom Camper Special with 78k original. Motors all FE Big Blocks. Have had them all in excess of 45 yrs! My 2wd Crew Cab gonna get full restore this year hopefully thats the goal. Have thought about bagging my 69 crew and will decide in the next couple months. Thanks for your Great content. You are doing Nicely!!!!
Whats up with 80s owner and aussies, i got a 80 and a aussie too, and its not the third time ives seen a 80 owner thats also a aussie owner.
One thing pisses me of more than anything else ... power washer hoses.😂
Doesn’t the 4 link have to match the drive shaft geometry I could be wrong but thought I’ve heard that before
Damn
Dang that thing is low.
It gets lower!
More mk2 stuff please
how did you determine the height of you C-notch and where the axle placement thanks
I wanted to lay the body on the ground aired out and have the bags under the frame rails. So a combination of measurements between all that. Axle placement, I made a mark on the frame where the center of the axle was stock and replicated that when I Fabricated/installed the 4 link. The 4 link bars are adjustable so I am able to fine tune it from there. Hope that helps.
appreciate it
How long were the c notch tubs
I'm having a hard time remembering. I think the notch was about 12".total taller than stock frame
Lets show how it's rolling
You could have put chains on after your mutiple tries, would have made the climb easily, and or winch ahead from thr front before attempting the climb if you don't want to be there for long trying over and over again. No matter how much peer pressure you feel, always take your time
I was just goofin around. I only had 150ish miles since I had re-geared and done all the suspension and steering stuff. I was going easy. Chains would be fun for the snow, I thought about making some to fit around the 40s.
This thing is bad ass!
Thank you!
Looks good, did you ever get a rear sway bar installed?
what kind of rear bumber is that
Custom. I made it a few years ago
❤
Looks awesome. Are those parts really available or rare as hens teeth? I’d love to awd swap my mk2 and figured I’d have to use all the parts from a mk1 TT
Not a manifold; headers.
Watching this guy drive is almost as bad as listening to his boyfriend giggle and say dumb shit in the background.
Guess your boyfriend is the quiet top-guy
Are you making more videos with this rig? 😉
Next month ill be taking it out on hopefully another snow wheelin day. I have some more parts i need to install that ill make some videos for as well.
