My traditional doctor said “Why are you here?” I was shocked because it was a wellness check up on a yearly basis. I took a 6 month herbal course and started growing my own herbs, making teas, soaps, salves, lotions, balms, sprays - it’s fun and I don’t charge anyone. I just ask for input on how they feel or how it tastes. Everyone knows what’s in the teas and gets a kick out of taste testing.😊 Bee keepers better amp up their game cause everyone’s going to be buying a lot more honey!
I am diabetic and fibromyalgia. Sleeping issues. I am enjoying your videos. Thank you Kristen. ❤ I am growing herbs. Lavender, calendula, oregano, basil, rosemary.
for western herbalism I really love Medicinal herbs: A Beginners Guide by Rosemary Gladstar + Alchemy of Herbs by Rosalee De La Foret as introductions to how herbs work and then Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer to help people understand the relationship that is possible with plants and the natural world!
really good question! I think it has some validity but is also a bit of a reductionist viewpoint of the body. On the other side of the spectrum we have germ theory (saying germs are the direct cause of contagious disease vs preventing germ inhabitation by keeping tissue healthy) and I would say that the truth likely lies somewhere in between! Health and Wellness is so incredibly nuanced and complex so I rarely find that anything is black and white.
I love your videos. Any advice on cellulite ( front / back of thighs) ? I'm a Very active 56 yr old ... I avoid sugar ( only stevia), eat healthy, exercise daily ( HIIT and strength training) Started applying Castor oil, Epsom salt bath, dry brushing. So Frustrating!!!!!

You are so awesome.. keep up the good work.. I so enjoy listening to you.. I’m learning so much from you.
Being in the healing arts (you are very knowledgeable), I'd like your thoughts on bio-terrain medicine and how the body is designed to heal itself.
