I enjoyed this video, I’ll be checking out the pet book. Thank you. The dosage discussion is spot on. Most will take one or two doses then say “I don’t think it works” I have have great responses from the fire cider I make. Seems to work well, so that’s a plus. Thanks the video! Great info.
I’m new to making herbal teas and I’m really enjoying learning about them, their histories and their benefits. I find many, very interesting videos on how to make teas and tinctures but not many people talk about quantity and dosage- especially with using fresh herbs. Really appreciated this video thank you ☺️🌼🌻🌿🧄🪴🍵
I realize this is an older video, but I would love to hear how you managed your Hashimotos with herbs! I recently found your channel and have watched multiple videos. Thanks for all the info!
😊😊😊@10 minutes into this video you mentioned Hashimotos.... Can you please contact me about this.... And Please make a few videos about what you do about Hashimoros???? PLEASE and Thank you
🪷🪷I would LOVE to hear how you treated your Hashimotos and your pets with herbs! I also was not aware of how much tea we should drink when we are ill with acute illnesses! So thank you for sharing this! I loved this video, and just found your channel recently. Looking forward to seeing the other videos in this series! Love, light, strength and healing energies to all! 💛
I use herbs topically mostly for horses and have been wondering on the doses for humans and dogs. Thanks for the information. More about herbs for dogs and cats would be appreciated.

I’m finally feeding them healthy foods and would love to add herbs to their diet but always scared (especially for cats) bc there is so much misinformation out there. Is there anything that you are aware of that could support kidney health for my 3-year-old pug? She is down to one kidney after a very aggressive bladder infection last winter. We just about lost her and she is worth a thousand times her weight in gold. Is there something that I can give her to optimize her remaining kidney function? She does not have any known allergies and she will eat anything and everything :)♥️
I truly wish I knew but I am not an expert in herbs for animals. There is a lot of cross over but I wouldn't be able to say. It might be in the book though! I will also keep my eye out for any more resources on this topic
I normally don't give them tinctures unless I am using them externally (like to clean off a bite or a wound) as there are mixed suggestions about giving dogs alcohol! my pup is 10 years now and I am very careful about giving him anything that might be bad news bears. I most often stick with powders and herbs mixed in food!
Please talk about the hasimotos! Im dealing with hypothyroidism (low thyroid), chronic migraines, as well as Jsogrens autoimmune disorder. Im working with herbs to help heal these things but i am hoping to learn more about what will help. These have led to some dark times but herbs are helping soothe the symptoms
I will! It is on the agenda becuase it is something I am SO passionate about and have worked so so so hard to manage. I am knee deep in updating the apothecary for the holidays and wrapping up some clinic work but it is absolutely on the agenda
sometimes you don't' really know until you take it. there are always going to be variations in a tea or tincture based on how it was made and the conditions the plant was grown. It will never be as standard as a pharmeceutical unless it is a standardized capsule or supplement.
I want to see a change fairly quickly. Some herbs can start working in minutes, some take a few days or weeks to build up. It depends on the condition or the herb. Of course, it then takes time for the body to "adapt" to a new normal and change its patterns and that can take months to years depending on what someone is healing from.
I need to make a whole video on how I manage it personally. but look into herbs like gudduchi, anantamul, high protein intake, weight lifting, and really great sleep. These are my top suggestions!
Both me and my daughter have been diagnosed with hashimotos . She is on synthroid. My numbers are not high enough to require meds but I am told that eventually I will be on meds also. How can we heal? Where do we start?
this is such a complicated topic but on I am really passionate about! I am going to put together a whole episode on it but really to begin its all about managing inflammation. The biggest game changers for me were eating more protein (like 100-130g/day), lifting weights, prioritizing 8-9 hours of sleep opportunity a day, and cutting out whatever caused me to have flares (for me the biggest thing is alcohol)
Completely agree with the recommendations. Also through drs visits and studying I’ve learned that people with thyroid issues often have issues with gluten. To my understanding our body becomes sensitive to the proteins in gluten and then those proteins are similar to thyroid proteins so the body can’t tell which to attack so it attacks both. And if one doesn’t subscribe to that same train of thought gluten is often inflammatory (I’m thinking stomach issues and the over exposure and maybe the chemicals) are the cause of wheats issue with people. I wa able to heal my self from goiters and low t3 by eliminating gluten and working out lifting weights more. Hope that all made sense. Good luck.
Do you double extract, i have seen some herbs need this like devils claw , milk thistle , ashwaganda , i am confused as i use 40% vodka already made , so if i use double extract i cover my herbs with the vodka for say 2 months then strain then do a decoction with the herb i just used then i add them both together is this correct ?
yes that is a really common method, but I personally don't love double extractions. My preference is to just take the herb in multiple formats! This where it also depends on what results you are seeking from an herb AND where experimentation might come into play so you can answer the questions "do I feel best with the tincture or the tea/powder? Am I getting the results with one or the other, etc"
Thank you for this video! 😊 I would love a video on pet herb recipes please ❤

How do you know what milligrams (strength) your loose herbs or tinctures are?

How long will it take for acute inflammation?
depends on the herbs! I have blends that can start decreasing inflammation in hours and some that need to build up in the body for days or weeks!
