    Thank you for the walkthrough. I've never used EARC before, so seeing how you used the source for each HDMI cable plus the various changes to the Denon menu is extremely helpful. I can now pull the second HDMI cable confidently and continue to impatiently wait for my LS12000 to arrive!

      @@thedaingeon Thank you for this video! Finally received my Epson, with the videos you have here and the great advice on the FB page, setup has been a breeze (decided to also add a HD Fury Vertex2 to the mix). Xbox One X going directly to HDMI 1 is amazing at 4k 120! Thanks for the videos and sharing your experience and knowledge.

    Great tutorial. I have the same HDMI cable you're using. Since those cable only runs one direction. Did you connect both end of the hdmi cable that says "display" to the back of the projector? I couldn't see if the other end of the hdmi cable that says "source" was plug into the hdmi eARC port of the projector. Thanks!

    Maybe you can help me
    Whenever I’m playing games on my series x through my denon 3800 to my Epson ls12000 the 120 fps and sound seems to be working fine.
    I have the Xbox set up at 120hz in the settings
    BUT any time I open Disney plus or Netflix to play a movie the screen glitches out, stops and cuts off.
    I Also had some screen glitching when first putting in a 4K disc and sometimes when switching between UA-cam videos
    If I switch my settings in the Xbox back to 60hz then Netflix or Disney plus works fine….shouldn’t the Xbox just run those apps as normal even if 120hz is selected?
    Xbox series x goes to the hdmi input on the denon 3800 (using hdmi 2.1 included with Xbox)
    Then Earc port from the denon into the Earc port on the projector with this 25ft 2.1 rocket fish cable
    Why all the glitching and app issues? Any idea? Thanks

    I have this LS12000 projector with an Xbox Series X and an older Denon receiver using Arc. In your video you showed the volume change on the PlayStation which makes sense since it is going through the receiver which can then add the volume overlay. But you didn't show what the volume change looks like on the Xbox through eArc. Through my testing I get a yellow box in the upper right corner with Volume + or Volume -, but I really want to see the actual volume number. Can you verify if you get the actual volume number with you newer Denon and eArc compared to my older Denon and just Arc? If you just get +/- as well, are you aware of any receivers that would show the volume number on this projector over eArc, or is that a projector function?

    • @thedaingeon
      @thedaingeon  Рік тому

      When using Earc the only place the volume now shows is on the face of the receiver. There is no longer a UI that comes up on the projector screen when using TV Audio (Earc) unfortunately. I am not aware of any receivers that have that capability sorry. Maybe ask your question on AVForums ? anyway hope this helps and please like and sub if you can!

    Hi,
    I dont have an AVR and not sure if i need it.
    I am planning to connect a fire stick on HDMI 1 on PJ.
    Can i use the earc port to conect directly to my sonos arc soundbar. Would the PJ pass through dolby atmos signal?

    Just checking, can you explain why you need to run the Xbox direct to the projector but use eArc? It seems like you’re AVR is plenty capable of full hdmi 2.1 4k120 signal, so it seems you could plug all your devices there.
    I put a down payment for ls12000 and I eagerly await for it to show up one day in the coming months. My debate is whether or not I need to eventually upgrade my AVR as it can only handle hdmi 2.0 4k60 with HDR. I thought maybe that’s where eArc can come into play; I connect directly to projector to get full 4k120 HDR signal for a device like the ps5 and then send the audio-only via eArc to the HDMI 2.0 receiver;
    Thanks for the demo but I just want to make sure I’m understanding what you’re showing as well as the premise.

    • @thedaingeon
      @thedaingeon  2 роки тому +2

      The avr only has one hdmi 2.1 input so if you want to do 4k 120 you would have to swap the hdmi cable between the Xbox and ps5 every time you want to use the other device. Otherwise you can use the avr to do 4k60 if you use the other inputs. Make sense?

    • @kabalcage
      @kabalcage 2 роки тому

      @@thedaingeon that makes a lot of sense. I didn’t realize that AVRs lack in the quantity of hdmi 2.1 ports. I’ll definitely need to research if I end up upgrading my AVR to see if it is more plentiful. But eArc is good workaround: thanks!

    What towers do you have and center channel and does the denon power them good? I ordered same receiver, ls12000 and a 135” Stewart screen.
    I have the Klipsch RP-504C II and hoping the 125w from denon is enough power for it.
    I’m torn between the RP-8000F II vs 6000 version.
    6000 is 125 watts which seems perfect for the denon and the 8” version is 150w.
    I just want good mids for movies like gun shots etc. I have two 12” subs as well. Do you have an opinion on if the 6” tower would sound better the the 8” version due to the watt’s coming from the denon?
    Thanks!!

      How big is your media room/theater? My speakers are the 504c and rp8000fs. I would imagine the 6000 would be perfect if your theater is the same size as mine or smaller and as for the denon…it will power everything with ease. Klipsch are very very efficient speakers to power. Hope you like and subscribe
