Tbh, I don't ever want the noise. It's one thing to talk about success on YT. It's another to have a bunch of cameras in my face everywhere I go. I never want fame. If I ever get it, it'll be a serious accident.

8:04 yup, that's exactly how it is for me. At night when I'm alone with my thoughts. I get panic attacks and doubt myself, keep saying I could not possibly do this and even mock myself for ever thinking I could. Then I wake up the next day and feel motivated again. It's an ongoing cycle, but I'm not giving up, even more so because there are people who keep telling me I will not make it.

Selective hearing "you should go work at Kaiser..." that was a sign I was thinking about health insurance." NO THERE WAS A SIGN ACROSS THE STREET but you ignored it. it said "You can have all your dreams" BOOM! LOVE THIS STUFF MAN! I need this. My grandma always said "garbage in garbage out" thats when i stopped watching TV and I started looking for more people lke Tony RObbins. ITS THE TRUTH! WE ONLY NEED ONE PERSON ( I HAVE TONS, like you, and TY SO MUCH for texting me back last night!) but I also have someone here in LA. I have a family. but i have a good friend I see every day and he's always like "I'm Proud of you" or "you're such a hard working woman" "i love an independent woman" he always feeds me good stuff before I go to bed. I see him last thing before I leave usually. "oooh look at you! You got the seal from the state of California" (when I showed him I'm Worth It Inc. got incorporated)

I'm not an entrepenuer,I'm a college student struggling to complete his degree, but i tell you man this is some of the BEST advice i have ever heard. I realise that I have more than 2 people in my life who believe in me and I guess the reason i don't succeed is because I don't always believe in myself. Your videos have made me realise that there is no success unless i believe in myself. You simply can't succeed if you don't believe in yourself. Thanks you very much for these videos man. They make me feel invincible and like i can do anything. God bless and keep up the good work!

In your video you mentioned about "who has control over you", well to me it was always been my dad. He passed away 6 months ago to cancer and now I'm lost. I don't know who to talk to or even who will mentor or even control me in my entrepreneur journey as I'm the only child, single mom, a loner, and gosh...a strong header too. Just last night I felt like quitting and finding a job and I saw this. My 3rd time watching since I woke up at 7.30am.
Every single time I feel like quitting or lost or feel that I haven't done good enough or my sales & marketing strategy is wrong, I hit UA-cam and click on your channel. Man, you are the next best ear feeder after my dad! If you ever come to Malaysia, please post it up so I can clear my schedule and be where you are, to just thank you in person. True what people said that a hero doesn't always wear capes...well mine wears T-Shirts =D

16:56 one of the most profound words I heard on your channel, Patrick: "I'm not buying that." These words are especially valuable to me because in my team of 5, when faced with a loss or a failure, I hear Pat's voice say, "I'm not buying that!", and I immediately go over what went wrong and as if by magic, a solution is found.

You know gang, I just realized something that I thought I'd share. Im trying to get over this barrier in my business currently and being young and never having experienced this before, the stress that comes with building a business and trying to make it big is unwavering. I assumed that at some point it would subside, but a year into it and it hasn't. I'm not telling anybody this to discourage you. Hell embrace it and learn to cope with it, because if you're not stressing you're challenge and your dream is probably not big enough.

      Pat,
I've started and failed at more ventures than I have fingers and toes to count on and I believe I know why, but I would love your input.
      I'm a Loner.
I have finally figured out what skills set me out from the rest, but they aren't enough to get anything off the ground. I keep thinking I need to build team of some kind, or at least find a way to find or attract the right resources needed to fill in the larger holes in the wings of the plane that would be my current (or future) business(s).
So my question for you is... how do you go about either finding or attracting these types of people? and, almost more importantly, how do you go about finding a mentor?
Maybe next time you're in Minnesota, we can hit a workout and possibly talk about things like this, together. I look forward to hearing from you.
      - Pete

    THANK YOU Patrick!!!
Its sad. I have people like my own Dad, who are constantly trying to get me to quit this entrepreneur quest of mine by convincing me to take courses on IT to be a jerky ass computer engineer. But its not like the first time I have been discouraged to quit by someone who is or was meant to be trusted. Hell, nothing will ever stop me from (not trying) but reaching that brass ring. Even when I am not making money, I am still learning a lot and I am getting closer and closer to that very first CLOSE! Because I am.
Thank you. There's no room for quitters! You are probably the best out of all the self-help/entrepreneurs on the internet. A lot has to do with your ethnic background because I come from the same one as yours. I know what the hardships are when coming from a middle eastern background trying to make it in the USA

16:40 very good advice! My brother was one who caught me that I do self pity sometimes. He told me a couple of times. Simply catching myself helps me combat it! Now I'm not saying one shouldn't analyse their mistakes and think on what went wrong and how to better it - but one should know how to do that without dwelling in their mistakes and pitying themselves. And when I catch myself - guess what, my opinion doesn't change. I don't suddenly think I'm all awesome and such. But I sart thinking about productive things! That makes a huge difference! (And eventualy I _do_ think higher of myself, because silly things don't keep me from seeing my good sides and worth! Which is motivating and upbuilding and thus leads to progress.)

Pat, your concept ring powerfully in my heart! The way I see it, because you said bussiness is a math formula(hope it becomes a game for me someday), Multiplying a negative number with a positive one results in negative results.
So I'm currently improving on procrastinating on bad habits.Let me be decisive: Over eating is Bad, Procrastinating is Bad; so if I combine them what results will I get?💥 BOOM 💥 Positive ones!
Combing and Sperating habits= Multiplying and Divideing numbers! Thanks for sharing your ideas!

When you get overwhelmed you either step up or let it get you down. Don't make quitting a habit. You need massive amounts of activity to start in the beginning. Your thoughts determine your level of belief. Some people like having problems in their life to use as a scapegoat. Failure can come from your own indiscretion. you need to have good friends around you. Doubting can lead to a spiral of negative thoughts. Don't let confirmation bias convince you to quit. Know who you're taking your advice from.

Quitting can be a very good thing. Especially if you are stuck in a job you hate. Getting out of it is excellent. Quitting a relationship from people who are toxic helps. Quitting smoking. Quitting drinking. Quitting a lot of the over the top luxries in life that you don't need every day. It's not about NOT quitting, it's knowing WHEN to quit something.

This video reminds me of back in 2010 when I wanted to attend IT school but my health didn't let me. I'm epileptic and I was having too many seizures. Neurologist prescribed different medications until the right one was found. But that not my point. My point is that I told myself if I wait for a miracle to happen I might never get my IT certificate. So I took the course online. I'm a hands on type of person. So to practice what was studying I'll buy damaged computers and practice with them. I got certified and started repairing computers at home. 2012 a surgery was done. Then I started doing On Site work. If I would had waited for the miracle it would have been time wasted. And one thing I always tell myself and to others too. IF THERE'S A WILL THERE'S A WAY.

At a point, it feels worse when you have early success because you feel you can almost never top that when things get difficult in a different phase of your life.

Awesome video! Definitely gave me some light and thinking. I think another reason why people quit is "LACK OF PATIENCE" lol. I learn it the hard way. Any type of business or anything u start out requires patience.

Great video as usual Pat! You're a great introduction to personal development and entrepreneurship for many people who don't know about these fields..
An untrained mind is a danger to you and those around you. The well trained mind is the greatest tool in your arsenal. Perspective in life helps. Time also helps/heals. Stand guard at the door to your mind. What thoughts, beliefs, values, ideas, attitudes, mindset do you have in your head/life? These affect your decisions, relationships, actions, habits.. And vice versa.. Ultimately all of these affect the quality of your life! Is your brain empowering you to lead a better, more connected, purposeful, fulfilling life? Or is it keeping you down and out..
Watch our for our brain's biases! Selective hearing and confirmation bias is a dangerous thing. Challenge your ideas, beliefs and so on. Question everything!
John Demartini has a great quote about: "Any area of your life you're not empowered in someone will overpower you in" - I take that to mean think for yourself in all areas of your life, don't live unconsciously doing/thinking what you've always done.. Or someone else will tell you what to think/feel/do and what to do with your money, time, energy!

Patrick , I would love to meet you one day, somewhere after 2-3 years and show you all the results I got because of YOU! I'm so grateful that you put this content up for free. A lot of guys charge more but bring far less value.
Anyway, as a content creator/advertiser, you don't have to end your vids with "share and subscribe", people will do that even if you don't mention it, because the people who come here to watch this, are here because the want to help themselves and the world. If you'd be making prank reactions, then thats another story. Peace!

+Rav Barring 👍🏼what did you get out of it?

    • @ravbarring
      @ravbarring 8 років тому

VALUETAINMENT I didn't have any quit in me. But the feeling of being overwhelmed caught up to me when I was alone. Performance, Crappy results, and financial pressures.
I like what you said, 'we are great salesman, we've sold ourself on crap.' It takes the same energy to sell ourself on positive affirmations that produce the right type of activity.
My Focus was on production instead of building a super gushing pipeline of people. I like what you said towards the end. 'You have to have one other person pour belief into you and you have to believe in yourself.' 10 years ago, my worry was financial, Cashflow.
Our current overhead and liabilities put me in an overwhelmed state.
