    I have been a creative person since i can remember. I always saw the world in a different way and i used to hate it. I felt like i was retarded or something and people made sure knew they saw me as a retarded too. But nowadays i can see that i am not retarded, actually it is not a curse. It is a blessing. You Pat not only gives us value, but you help us see the value we have. Thank you sir.

    Thanks, Patrick! :)
    I too noticed a thing while spending time with little kids. And that is, they get in fights, say they're not friends anymore, won't talk to the person.
    And very next day you can find them to be merrily playing with the same kid they decided to be not friends anymore.
    They just forget/forgive so quickly. Reset/Refresh and show up the next day.
    I'm like - I'm thinking about this for the rest of the day, that it's sad they'll not talk to each other anymore, and how I should fix things between them. - while they on the other hand didn't take it that seriously, forgot everything, and are playing again as if it never happened!

      I went from welfare to a millionaire in 10 years; then I found crack and lost it all but I didn't lose the game and had a successful recycling business until crack came back and took that too. I finally quit crack permanently and became a reasonably successful artist and activist and was well known for both until old age and failing health made me stop making dreams come true. I thought of writing a book of how I played my life because when I tell my stories people want to hear more but after my last stroke it has taken my energy to make dreams come true. Now I have those memories to sustain me.

    Arguably your most essential lesson to date, the world of business kills self motivation, losing our inner sense of wonder commits us to a life of following the lead of others. I needed this video, thank you, modern society has a habit of deflating our dreams. When creativity drives passion, everything remains possible.

    "...most people have become robots" True that

    • @manictiger
      @manictiger 5 років тому +1

      Worse than robots. Robots don't usually make mistakes and don't have emotional bias.
      So, they got rid of the best parts of being human and kept the worst parts.
      And then on top of that, they usually don't learn from mistakes, which could have been the ticket to turning a weakness into a strength. Because, the only way to truly avoid mistakes is to never do anything.

My inner child wants everything RIGHT NOW, over the years i've learnt to put a leash on it so that I can control it in a way that I would use it like a force of motivation and being eager. • @RonzigtheWizard
    @RonzigtheWizard 5 років тому +43

    Well it's 2019 now but I subscribed almost as soon as you started talking because I know what you're talking about; you're talking about me.. I'm 73 now and my health is failing and I've recently lost my childhood dreams to some extent because I'm no longer physically able to live my dreams, so I live my memories of my dreams. But I still wonder how this or that thing was done or made and I still think of what I would do with this idea or that one if I only had good health; so the child like brain never really stops even when the body is winding down.

    I would say that our hidden talents are shown throughout the day. When I say that, it can be something we do most without thinking about it. I'm so creative without thinking about because...my mind is somewhere else lol. Also I find myself singing and making beats, noises, and coming up with songs without giving two thoughts about it. We all have talents in us, all we have to do is put it work. Bam! There's the answer, the most successful people are the ones who actually put their minds\talents to work. This is so cool and legit lol. I thought I was extremely weird, but no...I'm just extremely creative. Thank you for this video, it really tapped into my destiny in a way :)

    Pat, the way you explained, the entrepreneur is focused on dreams and on the emotional side. I believe in that.
    However, to transform the dream on the reality you need the logical part. The goals, risks and execution.
    What do you think about that? Maybe should be 2 entrepreneurs, one with the dream and another more logical.

Otherwise you're just constantly distracted. I know I've had to work on getting to the point of finishing the idea I've been so distracted. But I do have a lot of ideas, they're just not finished.

    the listing about "life is a game" took my mind straight to Bryan Johnson from the Brain Tree company. He said, I paraphrase, "he'd like to play all day" in his interview on impact theory

    At my former office, we always celebrated birthdays, within our team, and important events. One of our team mates became a citizen, so we decorated his desk with everything American, then went to a British Pub for lunch.

    Good morning Pat. I'd like to acknowledge the amazing content you provide here on your channel. The entrepreneurial inspiration you provide is incredible. At times i would even ask myself questions like: "What would Pat say about this?" or "How would Pat react to this?"
    I sincerely hope that more startup/aspiring entrepreneurs find this purposeful channel. Best of luck on the 1million subscribers - you deserve it!

    This is a great episode. It's no wonder the great marketing campaigns are centered on children -- they are natural sellers to their parents!

    First time seeing this video now. Like I said when we met, I felt like I knew you already and that you knew me. What you said in this video about your understanding of kids and how you parent / coach them is very aligned with my own values. Ha you also described my entrepreneurial journey to a tee here too. Thanks again Pat for all you do. I'm looking forward to growing big in PHP!

    The mind operates best when it's calm and relaxed.... people buy from a subconscious perspective so it makes sense that the "child" mentality sells. Same concept with relationships. Always be playful, no stress

    This video really caught my attention, as a gamer calling life a game works, and it pulls a lot of the other tips together. Great content Patrick BetDavid. I really love that analogy, thanks for the good video.
