#14 Stay Tuned is EXACTLY THAT: leave more for later, the big surprise for later, the secret thing for later, the big moment for later, and for the even bigger moments for later. Pat does exactly THAT with this channel. He leaves more of his wisdom for later, so you keep coming back, and back, and back. No wonder I can’t get enough of his videos!!!!!!!!!!

    1. Know your weaknesses
    2. Know his/her weaknesses
    3. Master 3 things that you do better than anyone else in the industry.
    4. Don’t try to be Goliath
    5. As Goliaths get bigger, they tend to generalize instead of specialize.
    • Focus on specializing.
    6. Be a niche player- Have Goliath compete with you in areas you’re weak in
    7. When your small, appear bigger. When your big, crush your competition
    8. Keep a low profile initially
    9. Move quickly. Move fast.
    10. If they come out with a new product, don’t jump the gun and come up with the
    same product.
    11. Partner up with a competitor who has a common enemy as YOU
    12. Study history
    13. Let other competitors wear them down. In sports, you let other team wear down
an opponent that you might face in the playoffs eventhough that’s the one you
    REALLY don’t want to face.
    14. TBD...

Number 14 has got to be having heart. Not just confidence and will power to achieve greatness. But having heart to achieve something great, when I say heart it means something totally different than confidence, arrogance, or cockiness something else that allows a person to persevere through their lowest moments. Maybe this is similar to some points in this video but to me having heart means a lot.

Exactly, with all his steps added together, in the in End, you must pull off or “be” a authentic character Or yourself directly, in a specific manner , the scariest & most vulnerable aspect.. that hardly anyone can pull off, for your customer foundation. I could be wrong ( first time looking anything like this video up ) I’ve always gone off my instincts and observations of people, but it’s time to step it up. In my business, everyone respects how “truly” authentic I am, I really go out of my way, while also I’m a lion at heart that I have to keep down a lot of times, that can seem vicious at times or too aggressive, such as my stores I sell my manufactured products too ( as a secondary income). But it’s not a problem ( many people expose completely Who they are, in just the first minutes, when you are naturally being your authentic or good hearted self, giving them to edge first, but obviously, knowing the market, have it thought out if they fail this test, for the next stage their customers will be demanding for, while also later on, making them subliminally always remember they had the chance to do it right, and not take advantage. Which is profitable in an innumerable amount of ways, and I truly wish people would honest, but 99% are not in business or don’t have the intelligence or balls to be straight, in a honest way). Both can be used for the “ultimate success” . The one who will get the respect through his true nature, and not be afraid, to be the lion and guardian to your customers and some competition.. Going in deepest & scariest places and mastering it, is everything. There’s A place 99.9% cannot bear to go or stay in for long or near even the thought of it, the emotional war zone, where we have no armor. Or that’s just how I naturally think. I also have bad depression, but I use it to were it’s a “massive” advantage. By staying completely in tuned with my customers emotionally, while having the nerve to push through it all, with my competition, in all criteria’s. It’s very tiring for most & insane, I understand that. But I’m hardwired for it, as if I have no limitations, if I chose so.. That my visions must become a reality ( what we thrive on every moment, in our thoughts and actions), even though I know I’ll never be satisfied, which is useful as well. That’s the biggest question, and to never fully lose my self to the materialistic world, that is fake. So, do I want to conquer for a purpose to myself, or for just materialistic gains. To me, it’s personal, almost religious in perspectives. Both are required, which puts you in the grey area, but no matter what, how can you give up on who you truly are or not go into the “ unknown “ if That’s what/who you are completely. So much brainwashing educational material, media, people that are basically walking programs etc.. keep us from who we truly are Or you can look at it as your answer. You must not just fight in the “ unknown” you must thrive and make it your home. Also, to the guy who made this video. Thank you very much for your perspectives, I see a lot of it in myself and decided to take the path And start research.. it’s very personal. Some people can lose theirs selves completely to their ambition. But the world is a animal itself. We have to make the decision. I’m 29 with a botanical retail and wholesale business. I still have a lot to work on, but you’re video reminded me of who I am, and I needed to look back in the mirror. Thank you

I just tried and worked very hard to be the best teacher I could be, and I did it. I was not going after anybody. I was my own Goliath. After 28 years and much success, I never broke 6 figures. Money is not everything, but I think it is awesome what you have accomplished and I respect your accomplishments, and mostly, that you are proud of being a mentor. One of my mentors said, "if you really want to be successful you have to help others to be successful". That's what matters. I hope you accomplish all of your goals for that very reason. Peace, love, compassion, and unity.

#14 can be a number of things, such as never try to beat the master, aka Goliath, 💯but in reality it can be that there's no #14. When you say something that'll shock someone or that'll make people wonder, they'll wanna keep coming back to you thus making them reveal more about themselves. The more you listen the more others talk and by staying silent it makes others uncomfortable. By doing this, Patrick creates an appearance of meaning & power putting him in control by not revealing the point thus making him actually appear as the "Goliath" Since we can't figure it out, we are left uncertain and confused which will create interest and make people talk about you creating attention. Maybe it's one reason Patrick is so successful. All I can say is that he's a genius by doing this. Loved the video Pat. 💯👏👍

This is amazing stuff, and your energy is infectious.
For me only one point matters, the working in the Niche area.
If you are up against Goliath then you have to work on things that Goliath leaves it for you or feels it is not important or does not see the opportunity that lies there, no other strategy matters.
Example: Yahoo vs Google -> Search Engine business, IBM vs Microsoft -> OS Business, Disney vs Pixar -> computer animation, Sony and Rest vs Apple -> online music business, Nokia vs Apple -> Smartphones, GM and Rest vs Tesla -> Electric Sports car
There are many such examples, so to beat the Goliath, work on things ignored or unseen or underestimated by the Goliath

    #14 is DISRUPTION (explanation under)
Sticking out because you are different, and are offering, or being a solution, totally different from your competitors. Just like the young David who went towards the philistines in the Name of the Lord, and not by physical strength. He defeated Goliath, not by sword and or an army, but with a sling and stone! (That's why this biblical story is so well known to begin with!)
    YOU MUST DO THE SAME!
Let me show you my argument for why this is the case, by using the examples PBD gave:
Obama was potentially going to become the first black US president ever. Considering US history that was major in itself.
Trump was a businessman and world-known celebrity ("The Apprentice" for instance), initially untied from politics and the political world.
Apple brought innovation unparalleled in the computer and mobile space, focusing on value-innovation over pure technology-innovation which was the norm in the technological industry at the time.
PHP disrupted the financial insurance industry, by whom they target, and how they target them (if I recall correctly; the average agents' age and ethnicity being a 34 y.o. hispanic woman, differing totally from the industry average)
And finally, the latest example to come to mind is Lavar Ball. Who shook the basketball and media world to the point that he himself (regardless of being the father of Lonzo etc.) became a household name.
    Disruption people.

I forwarded my intention to become the president of Romania last year and now the pressure is on me for the next few years. I have started my journey towards my biggest goal in life a few years ago and since then I kept taking small calculated steps towards this goal. Most people and including my family thinks I am crazy to even think about it, but I know where I am going and I will give everything to get there. Not necessary because I have a childish ambition, but because I truly believe that I have a few positive ideas through which I could get my birth country to become one of the most sought after place to live in. I decided to write my third book about my strategy and all my ideas.
I also want to become one of your best friends one day soon Pat. Massive respect my good friend

Nr. 14: Innovation. A very good book about this is "Zero to One" by Peter Thiel. Pat, you already said in one of your videos you never jumped on a conference call because if you do so, you are always one step BEHIND. The real way to compete against someone is to innovate, this way your competitors become your followers. (excuse my grammar)

      @Toneload11 4 роки тому +1

@@hussainkanchwala6694 okay: let's say you are very bad in football but a great player when it comes to baseball. You're not going to challenge that person to a football bet or competition no you need to induce them or trick them to play your game and let them feel overconfidence that they would be great in all sport and once they enter your Arena to play baseball you defeat them. The same in business and all things in life. Never play it on someone else conditions and weapons. You already lost before the game ever started. Because they set the condition. You must remain always in control in whatever you do. You need to observe other people behaviour and action and how they talk and walk. Who they socialize with etc. The same way you study the other company in your field and find their weaknesses and at the same time you try to find a nice that you can control or is something they already do and you discovered something which give you some benefit above them. You need to trick them that your doing something completely different and make it public to trick them to leave the game they control to have a bigger profit. This how you win. For example what pepsi did to Coco cola years ago.

p.s. my best guess for #14 Never give up. Have an actual plan how to grow. Constantly think how you can get better of them. Improve every day. Strategize. Never stop. "You won't even get close to the size of the business I'm gonna be building..."

Innovation (IP) I believe is the point he leaves out on purpose.

    Goliath was a Philistine.
The Philistines were the arch enemies of the Israelites. They were determined to conquer, rule and even destroy all the Israelites.
David was a slender young shepherd boy. But he loved the Lord with all his heart. He faced down packs of wolves and enormous lions to protect his flock, armed with nothing more than a sling, and never lost even the smallest lamb. The Lord strengthened his hand and guided his aim.
Then came the day when the Israelites faced the Philistines and Goliath stepped forward as the champion of the Philistines. He was a giant for his time. Today, he would probably play in the NBA.
The Lord called to David. David answered, "Here I am, Lord".
The Lord commanded, "Gather 3 small stones from the river, and proceed to the battlefield." David did as the Lord commanded.
When he arrived, he saw the outnumbered and poorly armed Israelites faced with the taunting giant Goliath.
David took the center of the field.
    The giant mocked him.
Undeterred, David loaded the first stone into his sling.
Goliath wasn't just a giant. He was heavily armored and had an enormous greatsword. He wore a helmet with a small gap at the center of his forehead. That was the target for David.
    The first stone missed entirely.
The men closed the gap. The roaring laughter of the giant shook the very ground.
The second stone was easily blocked. Now the two were barely 20 feet apart. Within seconds, Goliath would slice the shepherd boy in two with his greatsword.
The third stone found its mark. With the force of a .22 caliber bullet, it penetrated the brain of the giant.
Not satisfied, David rushed forward. He took the greatsword, which he could barely lift, and beheaded the giant with one mighty swing. He then lifted the head for both armies to see.
The Philistines left immediately. The Israelites cheered wildly and carried the humble shepherd boy out on their shoulders.
The Lord gives for the small things of the world to confound the mighty. You better believe.:)
