As a WOMAN who is BISEXUAL who LOVES Stars Wars by George Lucas- I don’t understand why sexualities/woke activism have to be placed into the movies being told. It’s so uncomfortable to hear other women wanting to make men uncomfortable. Yeah, once I watched an entire series of a show, I do not remember the name, but was a cartoon, I watched all 5 seasons and in the end, like in the last clip the mentor of the group married a guy, that's when I obviously realized that he was gay, the entire show in the 5 seasons he said nothing about it, no one asked about it, he doesn't hit on any man, so yeah, to make a good show or movie, they do not need to push this down to our throats !!!

I would say the majority - like 90-95% would be my guess of fans being made uncomfortable. I'm all for strong female characters in movies, but not at the expense of demonizing and belittling men - real men. They push the narrative of husband/Dad's being mindless idiots who are outwitted by their wives and children who just think of them as an ATM when they need cash. This is wrong! Real men protect and serve their families by co-oproviding for their families with their wives who either are stay at home moms (if you are lucky enough to afford that) or working moms. Both parents co-provide in each of their unique roles and abilities to raise healthy and happy children the best they can and teach them right from wrong, good work ethic, gratitude and service in the community.
All this just proves that they want to spread their hate for moral values and families with a mom, dad and children. They attack the true intention of family (including single parents of course).

As a woman who loves Star Wars since I first saw the original trilogy with my dad (something that created a friendly feud because he was a Star Trek stand until he died) I just want a badass Sith Lord, a lot of GOOD laser battles and some new ships/planets to discover. I do find it strange that media loves showing lesbians and there is almost no media with homosexual males. Unless their degenerates like in the movie Bros... if you're gonna pander at least even the plane.
It always kills me when they bring up the fact that it's going to star a lesbian couple and be completely revolutionary, but I remember the popularity of lesbians being featured beginning in like 2016 with Supergirl's sister, and there have way more since then, so it's def nothing new, it's actually kind of expected at this point.

Given the fact Leslie was Harvey Wienstien's assistant during the time everyone around him was aiding or ignoring his abuse of actresses, it would have been a better world if she had lived a different life.

I agree with a lot of this, except one point, because watching Frozen as an adult was really meaningful to me too. As a kid, many of my favorite Disney stories centered around romantic relationships, and while there is nothing inherently wrong with love stories, I think when we constantly feed them to young girls, we are unintentionally pushing them to frame their worldview around those relationships as well, which is also very unhealthy. So to me, it was so incredibly refreshing to watch movies like Frozen and Moana, which show more adventure and put focus on familial bonds and friendships.

The problem most people had was Leslye was linking a sisterly bond to something a queer person could relate to. Its an odd link. Going from a lack of heterosexual relationship (even though Frozen does have those) to a queer relationship representation doesn't make much sense. Everyone can relate to a strong sibling/ family bond, it has nothing to do with sexuality because bonds with family should never be looked at that way.
Is being queer really that important to these people? If they weren’t flaunting it everywhere, nobody would care.

Was she asleep in the part of the movie where Anna KISSED the man she loved. In wasn't the center of the story, but love was one of Anna's original motivations, and learning what it truly means to love someone, whether that be her sister or her husband was crucial for her. And its so weird that adults are so desperate for Elsa to be gay. She's a character from a children's movie! I'm a film student and some professors and TAs always try to find a way to make something queer.

Quick note. Madame Web is a Sony production in their Spider Verse which uses Marvel characters they still have rights to. It is not part of the MCU despite the actors apparently having been deceived into thinking it is.

Absolutely false. Look at the reaction to The Last of Us episode 3. It was one of the most emotionally beautiful episodes of television I’ve seen in quite a while. Yet some still found a way to hate it. 10% of the loud far left gets all the media coverage but the same is for the far right. That 10% hates gay people. End of story. They are the ones that represent conservatives like it or not. Their homophobia becomes our homophobia by proxy. I fully support gay representation in media, if it’s well written and not tokenism. Sadly, a lot of people are straight up lying when they say that.

I feel like Star Wars is/should be the only IP that get the pass from the negative press that Disney gets from pushing the DEI stuff. It’s set in a universe that pulls from different planets so it would only make sense. BUT when it comes down to hearing that the show runner is using a beloved franchise for basically the sole purpose of activism is where I think people take the most offense with. I don’t think here’s anything wrong with there being LGBT representation in it but when it’s the central focus of the project and a good story comes after is where you lose people. Is anybody else watching older movies and finding them more entertaining and superb despite the vfx and sfx being old? because im enjoying them and i love them better than these new 8k high quality woke movies and series.
Heck I'd even the effects are more impressive in older films due to them not having as much or no technology. I mean a lot of films had to do their own special effects and hand build sets, now that rarely happens (Not to hate on the modern effects crews, it was just a bit more difficult back then).
we watch a lot of b-movie TV on roku. there's a lot of cheese, but more enjoyable than a lot of modern films.
Same with modern games. They're just 'Skyrim but prettier and more empty' reiterated over and over and over again. Awesome effects and flashy graphics, but no substance to speak of. I just replay all my childhood games instead lol

Same. What was interesting is that I didn't like the movie the first time I saw it. It was so unique that I just didn't get it 😁. But then I went to see it again and fell in love. The last one I saw in a theatre was The Force Awakens and that was it for me.
Same here, my father took me to see it in theaters '77. I've been a lifelong hard core fan since then. I was cautiously optimistic going in to see Force Awakens but walked out there in a really bad mood because it was just a horrible, smug, arrogant assassination of everything that came before it.
The Clone Wars series was great, and since Disney bought out Lucas I've liked Rogue One, Bad Batch, Andor, and some Mandalorian.
Agreed, episodes 7-9 shouldn't exist. The Skywalker saga was complete with episode 6. They should have let the Skywalkers retire. But no, and now it's a train wreck. They could have done something with the Old Republic.

I almost agreed with her, in the sense that it’s nice to see Disney was showing true love coming from sisters, whilst not hiding the fact that Anna is still in a romance in the film. Part of the reason I enjoy writing is to explore how others see things and get into another persons head. Fantasize about someone I’m not and see the pitfalls of being that person. It’s also a great way to build empathy

Honestly, it breaks my heart. Disney was so much of my childhood and I loved the creativity and imagination behind the parks and films. And now I know beyond the original classics, I can’t share those memories with my future children. In all honesty, I don’t feel comfortable taking them even to Disneyland because of so much being shown there.
