  • How to Super Clean, Decontaminate and Protect your cars wheels.
In this video I'll teach you the techniques to throughly clean your cars wheels. We'll then decontaminate them to remove any Iron particles left behind using a Fallout Remover. Finally the wheels will be protected, making them easier to clean the next time.
First off we clean the wheels using Chemical Guys Diablo Gel, a PH Neutral wheel cleaner that's safe for use on all types of wheels, including these 21" Porsche Diamond Cut wheels.
Using a combination of different brushes from Wheel Woolies, we'll clean all of the wheel before moving on to the Decontamination stage.
The Decontamination stage uses the amazing Troll's Breath cleaner from Pro Kleen. This is a great fallout remover. By dissolving the Iron particles from brake discs and pads, we can safely and effectively remove them from the wheels surface.
Next we'll protect the wheel using Car Pro's HydrO2, my number one wheel sealant. HydrO2 is so easy to use, it make sealing wheels a breeze.
Remember to give this video a like, and if you have any tips, please share them in the comments section.

For transparency, I was sent the Pro Kleen Troll's Breath by the manufacturer, but I am under no obligation to give the product a good or bad review. I do however find that the product does work and so I've included it. All other products were purchased as a retail customer.

Nice to see a vid again, 5 months was a long time 😊 I was afraid that your business had taken up the time and you wouldn’t be back at all. Looking forward to seeing the next vid, thanks for the upload 👍👍👍😜

Thanks mate! I know, but if you notice on this vid I hadn't painted the calipers as I filmed this before the last vid :-) . I just didn't notice where the time went. I'm trying to be a bit more focused and organised this year and have some good plans to fit UA-cam in around work! The next vid is on a similar theme to this one, and I'm planning to start the edit tomorrow, then I'm starting on new content as I've had a big tidy up this week and have loads of work to do on the Ferrari, which will take me to the better weather for detailing stuff, but I do have some new detailing tools to make content of, so there's lots to do!
Sorry it's been a while, but thanks for sticking around, hopefully I can make it worth while this time

Hi mate I know this is a wheel cleaning video but wanted to know when making my own ipa can I use Auto Finness citrus power instead of the autobrite product?? And also do o have to just double the amount if I wanted to fill a bottle the same size you used??

Hi, Yes you can use any All Purpose Cleaner, so the Auto Finesse would be fine. You can double the amount, but you shouldn't need that much. The problem with making too much up is that the IPA will evaporate if it's not in a sealed bottle, so I'd recommend making it up as you need it. If you leave it too long the alcohol evaporates and messes the ratio up. Hope this helps.

I always use Poorboys Wheel Sealant whenevr I get a new set of wheels. Had the same tub for years now! It really goes far. I'll have to take a look at their wheel cleaner. Thanks for the suggestion.

Also hydro 2 is recommend with a strong jet of water but not a pressure washer. People on the car detailing Reddit have said a pressure wash has ruined some paint when using hydro2.... I just use the hose with a nozzle

I know that the UK Carpro site says strong water pressure or a pressure washer to create a physical shock, but I've heard about this before, I think someone mentioned having a problem with Hydro2 on my other vid (I only used a hose on that one, and someone told me in the comments I should use a pressure washer, lol!), but I can't remember what it was, I think it went cloudy. I've never experienced it myself, but I only use it on wheels. I wonder if it's temperature sensitive, or whether it reacts with certain other coatings.? I suppose it's like most products, there are good and bad experiences with them.
