I'm so happy to see you're living free! Thank you for teaching herbal medicine and planting by the moon! Be the change you want to see! 🪻🌿
Thank you so much!!
Thank you!!!
Oooooh
Thankyou Weedy for producing such a great video! It has been an absolute delight to film and grow with you. I hope everyone loves the video and finds it informative. Elle, Australian Medicinal Herbs xxx
Hey girl :-) It is the most popular video out of my last ten, so that` a good sign. Thank you so much for sharing your garden with us 🙂
Amazing information. Can I ask is there any links to scientific studies on these herbs that confirm the medicinal benefits outlined?
Thank you Elle!
Thank you both 🌺
So many Thomas! I have some scientific journals as links on my website but also look up PubMed as there are now a LOT of scientific journals that show the efficacy of these beautiful plants 🌱
Mullen Seeds….respiratory
Tulsi…regulate
Lemon Balm…digestive issues
Passion Flower…anxiety/ADHD
Hibiscus(rosella)…high source of iron.
Very good
Lemon balm in a tincture is good for anxiety also
Thank you mate, appreciate the copy friendly list!
Mullein tincture cured my life long asthma. When I get a cold, I use daily and nips it quickly.
Lemon balm is the only herb that helps calm my anxiety instantly.
Love love love that you didn’t hurt the spider. ❤
The hibiscus is sorrel, that what we call it in Jamaica. It makes really nice juice. Boil it in a pot of water with ginger. Or you can boil up a pot of water & then throw in the sorrel, ginger & cover for about 2 hours then strain it.
My farm on Barbados has gradually evolved into a medicinal herb garden from which I harvest an extraordinary variety of aromatic and bitter herbs, I process and dry leaves, wood, bark, seeds, flowers and fruit into value added products for my pop-up-apothecary at a local farmer's market.
In addition to all the air-dried stuff and curious blends thereof, I sell a very effective "Bush Tea" tonic which contains Hibiscus, Tulsi, Lemongrass and Mint for pleasant flavour, and additional powerful adaptogens and cleansers from our shamanic traditions like Noni and Damiana which make it easier to see the fairies who live in the garden... and others which tend to be bitter like Quassia and Papaya Leaf which drive all ugly-buglies out of your blood and bowels post haste.
It's very meaningful work and you are always an inspiration.
Thanks Weedy.
Thanks herb master 😊 🧚🏻♀️
Waahwoh, so great having such information. Have you written any works on plants and spiritual uses?
How would somebody in America get your teas? I lived in Germany for a while and fell in love with hibiscus tea. Thanks from North Carolina, USA.
Wonderful! I adore medicinal herbs. I grow 37 of them, always adding more. My favorites are yarrow, chamomile, dandelion, echinacea, yellow dock, and plantain.
Wow. That`s a lota herbs!
Yarrow is one of my favourites as well, it’s definitely in my top ten. Xx
@@Australian_Medicinal_Herbs Are all colors of Yarrow medicinal? What do you sue it for exactly? Thank you!
Do u have a UA-cam channel?

God thought of EVERYTHING ❤
Thanks Weedy!
My favorite things in life are growing herbs and foraging for them. Thank you for this beautiful video ❤
Love this video totally. I dont have a garden personally but have been offered to use part of garden belonging to a dear friend.
Growing your own plants for medicine and food/tea is just amazing. This is enpowering and responsible i feel. Mother nature's way.
Evidently, making videos about growing plants, is more profitable than actually growing and selling the plants.
Where I'm from ,Trinidad & Tobago, it's known as a Christmas drink - Sorrel!! Seperated just as you did then boiled & left to steep
It's then stirred with Clove &/Bay leaves and agave to sweeten. .
Watching the video is a medicinal herb for the mind. 😊.
✌🏾❤️🇰🇪🇦🇺
I live in a humid area and Mullein grows all over my land.
I live in Arkansas and every summer in the north half of the state it grows along roadsides in rocky areas
@valkeriejones3818 that's exciting. Im in Oklahoma, and I got the seeds but the package says that it doesnt do well in heat. Im concerned because it gets super hot and humid here.
I was worried about growing it here in Central Florida. You have given me hope. Any tips ? Thanks 😊
I'm in Missouri and it's everywhere.
I can't wait for the next video! Alcohol vs. water vs. oil extraction? what's the best temperature? Is drying with a little heat ok? What about freeze drying? How do all of these things effect the medicinal content of the finished teas/tinctures/extracts? So many questions!
The majority of herbs will have some sort of clinical study done on it.
It will say ethanolic extract (where you'd use vodka), aqueous extract (water) or it will say freeze dried or dried at a certain temp. Oil extraction with dried herbs either left in a jar or slow and super low heat. These are usually with the ones you can't ingest like arnica and comfrey.
Just search the latin name with "clinical study"
You need a professor
The way she just described depression was very tame. I shall grow lemon balm
Lovely 😊
Growing medicinal herbs is another way to add your self reliance repertoire.
Absolutely!
Self and community reliance. It’s lovely to share your abundance and medicine with family, friends and wider community xx
Thanks Elle for sharing so generously the information on how to grow and use and Weedy for helping to make the video to help Elle share with us. Hope there are more collaborations. ❤
You are so welcome Nolene, I’m glad you have enjoyed it and found it useful xx
The hibiscus, we call that sorrell in Trinidad. We make juice with it. It is really popular around Christmas time.
Weedy you just breathed life into a subject I love but didn’t understand fully! I can see it all , how can I thank you enough. The Euc. grandis in background are majestic
Lol. Was that a question? Ahhh. The answer would be to just press the “thanks” button under the video and see what feels right for you. That would be the best way and it would be felt 🤗🎥🫵🏻
Your content and channel are gems. Please never stop.
The more people you tell about the channel, the longer I can do it 🙂
My mullien has been growing and reseeding for 4 years.❤❤❤

Great video, David.
Thank you Weedy this is the best Video on Medicinal plants Thank you So Much Elle Jackie in Florida USA ❤
Greetings from the woods of rural North Carolina, USA! Although I’m Native American, most of the knowledge of using plants and herbs has been prohibited and squashed, thanks to John d Rockefeller. I moved back to my hometown after spending my adult life in the city and I’m trying to learn. I found Nicole Apelian and her ‘weed’ book that’s a great help. Thank you for sharing. I just found you this morning.
welcome 👍
Amazing and beautifully stylized video with great information. Well done and thank you for creating it. Much love ❤
Thankyou Elle and Weedy. This was very informative and nice to view.

It's my dream to start an herb garden someday. Thank you for the wonderful advice!
This was wonderful? I want to start growing my own herbs and this was a great lesson. Thank you!
Another great video!! Thank you 🙏🙏 glad to realise I already have most of them herbs, I use them frequently also in juices 😊🌿
I tried using the dried passion flower to make tea in hopes that it would aid in sleep, it did not. I also tried a tincture, it did not help either but no one told me was that it was an accumulator. So, back to square one, going to plant it again and give it another try. Luckily I can grow 4 out of 5 plants here in Florida and have some already. Enjoyed the video as usual and found it informative and interesting. You really do produce such polished videos!
Thanks. Yeah, try it every day for a week or two.
@@TheWeedyGarden will do.

Thank you for taking the time to make this. I grow Chamaemelum nobile, Lavandula angustifolia, Hyssopus officinalis, Echinacea purpurea, and Mentha × piperita. Mostly for teas.
Excellent video, thankyou so very much!
Where I live (northeastern United States) mullein grows absolutely EVERYWHERE. I've always known it to be good for the lungs but never processed it myself. The stalk, once dried and trimmed, makes an excellent tool for starting fires. I'm not sure how to describe it but it's the method of rubbing or spinning it back and forth in your hands while simultaneously pressing down on it while it rests on a small plank of wood, typically cedar or pine works best. The friction from this motion is hot enough to light tinder which can then be used to start your fire
great info
Its called a bow drill fire!
