My goodness. I can smell the warm summer air and the indescribable feeling of being a kid in 1999 with this amazing song. My god, the 90s were so special
We’re a special generation and can totally relate to this. To grow up in times before and after the internet and social media took over, we had the simplest joys in life which nowadays tend to get overlooked. Music in the 90’s was peak, love your comment. Without internet and social media this couldn’t happen (funny how it works) had this and “Ray of light” on repeat all day 🙌🏻

This is Madonna at her most beautiful. Whoever styled her in this video was brilliant.
The new millennium was coming, the cold air of a dark 1999 night was in the air. Movies were great, music was magical. Madonna was already an icon and at this point she was simply running victory laps in the music industry. But this song hit different. Honestly, although I was young, I never took the 90’s for granted. I enjoyed every minute of it. It really did feel like one big summer.

Their Satanic Majesties Request like you mentioned, Sgt Pepper, The Doors, Donovan Sunshine Superman album, Jefferson Airplane Surrealistic Pillow, Country Joe and the Fish, there's other's that have made good Pyschedelic music.

I listen to this and suddenly it’s 1999 and I’m 16 again. That was a wonderful summer. I had to bike everywhere, to summer school and my yard jobs, cause my parents wouldn’t let me get my license. Early mornings in class, followed by yard work, then biking back to the local water park to cool off with my brothers and friends. No cell phone, social media bs, or any of that. Life was simple. Being sixteen and biking well over twenty miles a day and thinking nothing of it was wonderful. Good memories. Nowadays, I’d be terrified at the thought of letting my son do that when he’s sixteen. The world is a very different place now. I’d give almost anything to be able to go back for a week, or even a day. I didn’t know how good I had it. But I love the way that music can take us back to a certain point in time and bring those memories to the forefront of our minds, and make us smile and remember. When you’re sixteen, you think you’ll live forever and things seem to take too long to change. It isn’t until you’re older that time starts to fly by. That feeling of invincibility and feeling like I’d be young forever is a cherished memory now, but it’s an integral and essential part of growing up. Cheers, everyone ❤️

It was a warm summer evening in 1999. My dad drove our family to go see The Spy Who Shagged Me after becoming huge fans of the first movie 2 years prior. From the opening shot set in space, everything about the movie was huge and captivating. The new millennium was upon us and the future was an impending monolith aching to be discovered. What grabbed me the most about this film was the sad scene where Austin was in the throes of self-pity after losing his "mojo" for good.

This song has stayed on my mind along with that scene since it came out. Feels like a lifetime ago. Viva 90s!!!

Such an underrated song. The song has a quite unusual structure and the instrumentals are INSANE! Its almost hypnotizing.
Structure sounds pretty typical to me; it’s the arrangement that’s interesting. The flute and organ gives the 90s alternative guitar driven sound a 60s psychedelic feel.

You've got to hand it to Mike Meyers for going all in for this video. So many other celebrities would have just mailed it in and had them repurpose shots from the film, but he showed up on set and performed for the entire shoot 👍
