She could have gone with this look instead of what she ended up doing. Natural beauty carries the poetry of our spirits. Love this version of her creative expression. Icon.
Madonna has never been accused of being a brilliant vocalist, but she sounded great here. The music and video were masterful; probably the best of any of her songs.
I've never really care about "big" voices that in the end, are boring to me. As a long time Madonna fan i've always think she has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard in a female singer. And her catalogue is so diverse and versatile, that there's no place for boringness.
OMG you're right...and I only aged 5 years... Lol. Brings back good and bad memories. One of my favorite songs of hers and great video. Kinda given me vibes of Xtina 'Fighrer' video with the black and dark and morphing into different shapes. Cool 😎
Glad to know that you like this timeless masterpiece. I was 12 years old when this song released & since then it's my fav. It gives me goosebumps everytime.
This was, is and will be a masterpiece FOREVER ❤️. Artists like Madonna, Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Elvis, Pink Floyd will be in the future centuries what Mozart, Beethoven, Bach or Wagner are now.
I love this song for many reasons… but mostly because it’s so different to all the other songs Madonna has done. This brings out her feminine, mysterious side 🖤
2:59-3:34 that instrumental moment always haunts me, there's something special, even mistic, about it, I love it and I can't stop replaying it, both music and video are captivating!
This song is a miracle of creation and creativity. How is it possible to combine such melodic lines, arrangement, imagery, atmospheres, scenarios, outfit, dance and all that emerges from the combination of these things as a timeless human product of intellect and soul. Madonna went definitely beyond all comprehensible wonder and beauty immaginable with this track. We're not even in the realm of music anymore. This is something else and there is no word on earth to call it.
God this is gorgeous. I feel like I didn’t appreciate it enough back in the day. I wish she’d find whatever Divine Inspiration that inspired her to create this work of art and give us more.
Sadly she ruined it with a crappy remix recently… I get she’s trying to be current but current music is trashhhhhh and I don’t think it’s gonna get better sadly so alas; I still go back to the songs of yesteryear and enjoy what incredible production we had back then
This song and the whole Ray of Light album are not just a collection of masterpieces. It’s a feeling. It’s goosebumps. It’s Madonna proving why she was on the throne
It's because it's demonic and this music video is symbolic... "Give yourself to me"... It's what the devil asks to it's victims when they offer themselves for power, money or anything they want in exchange for your soul...
I honestly think this is an absolute masterpiece of music. Not only that but the album. It's definitely rates as the best album I've ever heard. The album really creates a certain atmosphere when you hear it. Full dynamic range, detail, use of left and right channels, base. It's like you are part of the music. Definitely one for a a good pair of speakers.
if you like the production on this album you may well enjoy 'spirit' by caroline lavelle stevie, it's another album produced by william orbit and is breathtakingly brilliant...

It's crazy how this album is from 1998 but still sounds so modern. It's truly a timeless masterpiece. (Edit) If anyone is interested, somebody filmed madonna singing this song live at her latest tour: Madame X (not the official video from madonna but a fan taken video by Denzel Reyes), along with her daughter dancing in the background and it is, in my opinion, her best performance of this song she has ever done. Auntie M was always before her time
She could have gone with this look instead of what she ended up doing.
Natural beauty carries the poetry of our spirits.
Love this version of her creative expression. Icon.
Madonna has never been accused of being a brilliant vocalist, but she sounded great here. The music and video were masterful; probably the best of any of her songs.
She may not be brilliant vocalist but she is such a legendary icon it doesn’t Matter she created some seriously good originals
Madonna has the best pop songs ever 💅
I've never really care about "big" voices that in the end, are boring to me. As a long time Madonna fan i've always think she has the most beautiful voice I've ever heard in a female singer. And her catalogue is so diverse and versatile, that there's no place for boringness.

My favorite Madonna song. It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since it's release! IMO, the 90's was her best decade.

OMG you're right...and I only aged 5 years... Lol. Brings back good and bad memories. One of my favorite songs of hers and great video. Kinda given me vibes of Xtina 'Fighrer' video with the black and dark and morphing into different shapes. Cool 😎
I hope she makes album with similar songs from this.

Still in September 2021 … this song is masterpiece. Thats why she is known as queen of pop.
Yes it is.
This was, is and will be a masterpiece FOREVER ❤️. Artists like Madonna, Michael Jackson, the Beatles, Elvis, Pink Floyd will be in the future centuries what Mozart, Beethoven, Bach or Wagner are now.

The evidence that pop can be dark and gothic, darker than many self-proclaimed dark things. This is incredible. Beautiful, epic, and underrated song.

@@Luckywea That's because the entire demise of the video is depicted to present day more so than ever; as another user above mentioned the video correlated to modern times. If you want me to get deeper I can. 👨🏾🎓✌🏾
It is a spiritual song which gives relaxation to ears, heart and brain
