You should do a story about the 5 bodies they found while looking for him. The only blessing out of this, is that 5 other. families have some closure.
Brain Laundrie autopsy has confirmed and indicated that he had a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Also Suffolk county
It says they found a notebook with Brian’s body confessing he killed Gabby and his cause of death was suicide
As a 911 operator, I have to say that dispatcher really frustrated me. All the information was given to him at a reasonable pace. Idk why maybe it’s the tone but I didn’t appreciate it. If I were the caller I wouldn’t think I was taken seriously at all
honestly same, like he kept asking him to repeat everything when the guy who called the police spoke very clearly and bluntly..
yeah I thought he was very blunt and rude. Hopefully the caller now knows how much he helped
I agree with you. But he’ll feel sorry about it now for sure!
No offense to your profession at all.... I truly appreciate your service.
But I've listened to a lot of 911 calls and in my view there is a desperate need for more empathy training for operators.
I've heard some absolutely absurd responses. Sometimes it seems like they are just reading a scripted response or completely misunderstanding plain english.
One thing I wonder frequently is why do they always say to the caller "Calm down" in a angry tone...to callers that are hysterical?
The last thing someone that's manic or in fight or flight responds to, is someone yelling at them to calm down. It's psych 101
As an example...If someone's holding a decapitated baby ....they are not going to calm down.
Saying that in an aggressive way...only makes it harder to do so.
It should sound more like:
"Breath. Ma'am... I need you to take a deep breath okay. I'm here. These questions are not slowing down the response...they are on the way....now try to take a deep breath and tell me where you are"
Telling someone to breath has a more effective response.
All government employees have that tone .
That guy who called the cop… what a bro. He had all the info ready
So good on the father for acknowledging that he’s grateful for the media attention this is getting. RIP Gabby
🤙
Yes, because other parents haven’t been so fortunate in that regard
@@CMJames They raised money and were proactive in getting media coverage.
Your kid is missing and he’s gloating about how great the media is on covering it…how is that not strange to people? I don’t know what the heck is up with this event however I somehow clicked on a video of a news helicopter circling over what was claimed to be Brian’s parent’s house. I noticed it was one house from the end of the block with no houses across the street and the street circled around to the other side which was the back of the homes no other houses directly behind them. It was about a 30 min video which showed lots of vehicles and people walking. However the next day there were on the ground videos of the fbi or police going in a home that claimed to be Brian’s parent’s home however the area in this video did not look even remotely close to the same that I had seen in the previous video. I even went back and watched some of it again because it was so weird but just confirmed what I remembered. As I mentioned I don’t know what is up but things just don’t make sense in this matter to me. It is odd they’d redact so much and makes me wonder why.
Please notice how distraught she is and how “friendly” Brian is. That’s a red flag. I’ve been in an abusive relationship in the past and that’s a typical sign, overly friendly to cover up the abuse.
even though she attacked him& tried grabbing the wheel off him…she was a neurotic karen& they ALWAYS portray themselves as the victim
Thanks for the comment Julie. I’ve been in one too and it’s painful to watch this. His little nervous guy act is infuriating and the way even though she’s distraught she’s still blaming herself. His comment to the police at the end “yeh she’s just crazy”… 🤬 so sad she couldn’t get out before the worst happened 😔
@@Man_fay_the_Bru good job calling a murder victim a neurotic Karen.
@@Man_fay_the_Bru defensive wounds
I was in an abusive relationship where she would hit or kick me. Some hurt, but most Didnt. When authorities were called, I was usually calm, and she would be frantic. I never felt in danger, but would be actively trying to calm the situation down. It very closely resembled this situation. Just my two cents.
Netflix gonna be ages behind content creators with this sort of turnaround

Update: Brian Laundrie was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in late October 2021, ruled a suicide. They also found a notebook near his remains in which Brian claimed responsibility for Gabby's death.
pfft.... he wrote a letter to Gabby where he explained her death to her! Weird and nonsense. He can text fake text to her family pretending to be her but couldn't get her help? I don't believe him nor his dirty family
Yeah and he completely lied about her death in his notebook. He said she hurt herself while climbing rocks and she couldn’t walk back to the van, basically said she was stuck there in pain so he “put her out of her misery” ….. instead of just carrying her to safety? He’s a liar and a murderer. Couldn’t even tell the truth before he killed himself like a coward.
A notebook? Really? Wasn’t the area he was supposedly found under water for days beforehand? And sorry to be devil’s advocate but I haven’t seen a 20 something use a pencil, pen notebook or quill, like, ever.

“what do you think of brian?”
“i don’t.” what a man.
Letterman or Leno once asked an American actor; “what do Americans think of Canadians?” His answer; “we don’t”.
Much respect for the father, he composed himself very well.
And clearly very thankful for the help his family is receiving.
Id be going insane i think..
When his lawyer made a statement on his behalf, he stated, "we hope shes returned to her family," if he was innocent, wouldn't they hope she'd be returned to her fiance' and family? Just a little lawyer jargon I noticed. Bryan didnt say he wanted her back, just to be returned home to her family. She was living with the Laundries. Boy, they're a stellar bunch, huh? My kids know I've worked truly hard to have moral fibers weaved through the whole clan, so if they do something to harm themselves or someone else is the only time I'll get up in their business.
Hopefully this will never happen with them, but if it ever does, you can BET I would march their ass straight up to the parents to explain exactly every last moment of their child's life and face the cashing of the check their ass wrote.
Wouldn't be no, "go hide, I'll take care of it," bc if they're big enough to sacrifice this many people's whole lives at the alter of their ego, they'd use their whole chest to explain, too.
All of that to say, how lucky that whole family was that this girl was trying to be a proper partner, but their son's unchecked antisocial behavior was unbridled. How unlucky was she that his parents didnt somehow shed light on his poor impulse control, constant self superiority, and temperament. This doesn't happen overnight and they knew he had a temper and she'd be trapped alone with him.
Idk why the police are so sure he was ever back...just bc the van made it back.
This is what happens when you model a complete disregard for empathy and acts of service that promote empathy.
Their brains work backwards. Their operating systems got wired to enjoy pain, evil, bc they nurtured those thoughts instead of extinguishing them. Then, they must behave that way to get the feel good chemicals all humans have, but normally dont abuse. They're straight addicted to all the terrible things that attack our adrenals and cause so much distress in the world.
Mentioning the ladder, knowing the direction of the turn, the caller had all of his bullet points checked. Every 911 call should be just as detailed and straightforward
Brian volunteered to go to jail for her....and was the one with scratches
I find it so suspect that he says "she's just crazy" when the cops ask if she's taking any medication. The lack or respect is telling.
Chilling lack of empathy
probably cause a little bit she was, and a little bit he didn't know so he was making a joke. most likely he called her crazy to her face regularly
You can tell she has some issues handling herself…add the stress of all this on top of it.
Funny how in domestic violence situations involving female victims, the woman is always “crazy”. 🤔
@@ReGo001 She had OCD, which is a very difficult condition to live with. It can feel like your own brain is trying to fight you for control, and it gets worse when you’re stressed. But it doesn’t make a person “crazy”, it just makes them frustrated and seem somewhat hyperactive to those around them.
You’d think someone who’s engaged to a person with OCD would know that, and have the decency not to mock their mental health condition or their supposed sanity. 😒
He comes home without her and it takes 3 days to decide he’s a person of interest???? Great work👍

Bless the man that contacted the police after seeing Brian assaulting Gaby. Most would just ignore it and go on with their day.
For real this happened to me in Seattle in 1999, I was doing temp work and this girl was on my work team. Once we were done for the day, I witnessed her "boyfriend" slapping her in the back alley, so I said "hey, stop that shit! I will call the police" he produced a gun and chased me for 3 blocks, good times! At least he stopped hitting her.
@@Zzz2x Yeah, in retrospect I should have handled it differently. I just don't know how. I think if I acted like a crazy bum spewing nonsense, I could have stunned him for a bit. The guy was obviously an asshole, and I was very upset seeing him hit someone half his size. In a fair fight, I think I could have beat him though, lol!
To this day, 22 years later... I wonder if she's okay.
I don't know where you live, but if people see a man hurting a woman we report it or intervene. I know I would at least call the cops and make sure the girl is alright. Now if people see a man getting hit by a woman then yeah most people would just laugh and keep walking.
Well after all the pieces of the puzzle fell, she and he admited that it was her that can get mean and out of control, and he who attempted to walk away from an angry Gaby and she fearing she would be left behind she ran up to him and smacked him multiple times in the head and face and at that point he pushed her in the face to protect himself. Did you not see that she was the one who the DV was going to go to? If these cops weren’t good men that actually recognized mental health issue vs crimes this would’ve been a diaster. I’m not sure what you think that phone call did other than almost get the women a record, but ya sure great job.
I think about one instance I witnessed as a kid all the time. I was at the mall with my dad and I saw a woman being violently grabbed by a man. He held her close to his face and was clearly threatening her or something. She was crying. I stopped to understand what was going on because I was like 7 and had never seen anything like that before in public but my dad told me to keep going and let it go. It’s a shame my dad didn’t do anything and passed on the opportunity to teach me a lesson. Now I pray that someone else intervened and helped her out. I hope she’s ok

Also I’ve looked at your other comments on this channel saying that “he killed her in self defense” because “she is insane”. You don’t even know the whole story, so why are you automatically jumping to conclusions? The dispatch call made it pretty obvious that the male is also abusive, not just the girl. Have to say, props to the dude at 3:42 for taking a pic of the number plate, and giving a very detailed description of the vehicle.
Yeah too bad the cops completely screwed it up from that point on.
Yes indeed. I once called 911 bc I saw a car accident and the two male drivers both got out and started fist fighting in the street. The dispatcher asked me to describe both vehicles and it was harder than ya think! Like a woman, I knew the colours of the cars 😝🙄😬.
And what did that do? Almost got gabby a dv charge but luckily these cops were kind enough to recognize an issue that could be handled with compassion and not commanding. Girl got told to take a breather and she went on to smack the fuck out of him a couple times and he pushed her back off him. And then she continues to hit him a couple more times while he was driving before and and while they pulled over. How did the cops helped out anything or anyone that day? And his call was an outright lie based on both the physical injuries and testimony of the couple.

Children should be educated about toxic relationships. We're taught endlessly in school to avoid drugs but never taught about toxic relationships. A lot of young people genuinely think these types of relationships are normal and that every couple is like this. My parents never taught me and school never taught me, I learned on my own mid way thru my 20s after several years of misery. Gabi will never have the chance to learn. Then the officer talks to Brian and he calls it something like her little blog... that really got to me. How long had he been making her feel so small? It was just a hobby.
This is the best coverage I've seen so far on this case, the timeline, footage, great work! 👏👏
Anyone notice how the first thing he asks the cops is "did you talk to Gabbie?" and he makes it a point to mention "I hope she doesn't have any complaints about me"? I can't help but feel like he was fishing to make sure she wasn't giving the police information that was going to get him in trouble. A witness saw him slap her and because he was calm and she was emotional, Brian was able to laugh it off as a spat over her being a neat freak. In the meantime, she was getting told to manage her anxiety so she didn't create these bad situations. So sad.
I know she was killed. But the facts that he's the one with many visible wounds on his face and arms is telling. She did attack him. This doesn't mean she deserved to die, obviously, but the officer did the best they could given the situation and his charming ways of talking. He was really good at dealing with the situation with the cops. I just wished this could've been prevented, but somehow I think this was inevitable. They both continued digging in their sick relationship and that's what happened. He eventually killed her.
Yeah, it's always sad when people take their stress and anxiety out on you.
That's exactly what he was doing. Trying to cover his ass. God I wish she pressed charges. And it's her damn van that he was keeping the keys away from her !!!🤬🤬🤬 RIP
It’s uncomfortable how all the male LE are so ‘understanding’ hearing his excuse for his scratches.
I was fortunate, and fled my domestic situation, going into hiding. But the male LEs that came out to our house always made me feel like I was the crazy one. It made me think no-one will believe me.
It’s a shame we are in the 21st century, and still don’t have a clue about how to de escalate these things.
He's the one bleeding... I think he's trying to make sure she doesn't go to jail. People are quick to judge when it comes to a man and a woman getting in a physical altercation. Him trying to put distance in between them might have been perceived as him hitting her when it was the other way around. Women can be just as wicked and violent as a man can. Again, he's the one bleeding and she is clearly ill. He was close to being blinded by that scratch. I think she might have had serious mental problems. BPD/narcissist if I had to guess. The guy has a lot of the markers of someone living in a hostile and abusive environment. He fears her and says she crazy horrified she might hear. He's almost happy the cops showed up, she's terrified, hyperventilating. Frantically trying to play the cute card not making any sense. If anything she's probing the cops for what they know. The cop sees right through it and knows from experience who the psychopath/BPD/narcissist is. In most states the cops have to take her in. She was the obvious aggressor.
If I had to guess they were out in the woods, she tried to attack him and he pushed her away just like he had to in the car, she falls and bumps her head, next thing he knows is she's not breathing. We know she likes to throw phones. He fled to call you his family for advice and that's where it stops. I watched my drunk neighbors fight in their backyard for years. The old lady must have gone to jail 100 times for it. Woman can be aggressive and men are much stronger. Don't stay in an abusive relationship if you don't want this end. This story has been told a million times, by all kinds of people. I can't wait to see what happens in court. Manslaughter, I'd bet!

I followed this story closely from the first second and hoped they would find her safe and sound. As tragic as the situation is, I'm genuinely amazed at the kind and professional officers and the person who reported the abuse. Thank you for the brilliant video. I'm looking forward to a part 2, I'm sure I won't be the only one who will feel some closure after that.
The cops are idiots
The kind and professional officers that acted out a clawing cat to describe gabby?
@@goldenvibes1638 you clearly didn’t see that one cop who was trying to get her to understand that maybe she should leave (when he was talking about his exwife)? Also not on the footage, but there was a woman cop there who was speaking to her off camera and trying to persuade her to leave him.
They didn’t break any laws, so what else could the cops have done? They separated the couple and they still got back together. Hindsight is 20 / 20, but in that situation, at the time, it is not so clearcut.

Awesome content man, these are the videos and channels I love to come across. Detailed and thorough, no dramatics, and quick to get the story out. Hopefully the truth will come out, it’s sad to see these clips, now knowing what’s happened since
Ah a straight and to the point summary of what's happened so far. Brilliant
TWO VERY TELLING MOMENTS. When he asks the officer, "you talked to Gabrielle, right?" Nervous look.
Second, when he asks officer to reassure him Gaby hasn't said any negative complaints about him. Nervous look again. What a POS.

This RV Life Vlogger “Red, White and Bethune” lost their 7 year old son Ethan in a car accident 10 years ago on their way to Disney and now they do a random acts of kindness every year in September on his bday in his honor.

The day they accidentally found the van in a random Go Pro video dash cam (that ran for hours) would’ve been Ethan’s 17th bday. (Check out the clip on their UA-cam channel)

So they think it was Ethan’s way of doing a random act of kindness for Gabby’s family sent straight from heaven!!!!

Man... I bet those officers wish they could have done more in hindsight... This is such a messed up situation. Prayers to Gabby's family.
Nope
I don´t think they could. It was an altercation and they have to be neutral.
911 operators so often act like they’re in the middle of something really important and your call is keeping them from it. 🥺
Your emoji confuses me
@@justussneary19 me too 🥺
Well yeah probably other calls. With how much crime there is; they are probably flooded with calls and want to get off any calls that dont seem like an emergency
@@matthewb.7172 oh shit! 🥺
I did the exact same thing (my neighbour was hitting her wife and I called the police) the dispatcher ,which in my country are deck policemen (different from those that come at the scene) was so annoyed that I called for something so "little" and they also didnt come! I live in Italy and I really hate this country and their people sometimes, especially corrupted police , or better when they're not corrupted they're lazy. I cant see the time that I have enough money to go away from this shitty place
The whole section of the video with the police talking to them and specifically Gabby just puts a knot in my stomach. It's so sad and eerie and hindsight is 20/20 right? Shes so visibly upset and "open"/letting loose to the officers, but he seems to be doing his very best to stay calm and collect his defensiveness. Clearly convincing at the time it's just so sad to see her final days like this :(
Im not sure i agree with you. She was clearly the Aggressor and he has marks on him and she doesn't.
I think he was trying not to have his girl arrested.
But then after this he definitely did some fucked up shit to her.
But she should have been arrested for domestic battery
@@fitted_kicks_4912 He was seen hitting her. When I was hit or choked I definitely hit back. A part of you says "you may hurt me but I guarantee you'll know I've been there." Anytime I've been attacked I've left Mark's. She clearly fought back. Why tf do you think shes dead?
I’ve watched enough crime videos and his demeanor is definitely that of a guilty party. He refuses the water and apologizes multiple times (guilty people tend to do this in order to get law enforcement to think better of them). She is being very candid and open while he was constantly downplaying his part, “I pushed her, well I mean no, I didn’t push her, I was just trying to create distance.” The man on the 911 call clearly says that he saw Brian slapping her. Imagine if we had the resources to bring a therapist/social worker in to help solve disputes like this. I know the officers here did a great job but they can only devote so much time to one case.
@@fitted_kicks_4912 that would have saved her life. If the police werent busy relating her looks to their own wives and fawning over them as a couple the girl would probably be alive. There is enough evidence to charge both of them with domestic violence. Why do the police just kind of... act like everything's ok? If anything tell her to GO HOME dont gte right back with a guy that you were just fighting with.
@@JAYSPLASHMUSIC yep, this was a failure. i don't know what happened, no one does yet, but she definitely was unstable and pushing buttons of another unstable person. no one deserves this, but also people need to be held accountable. if she had been held accountable for her actions this whole road trip would have been put to an end when the police put the cuffs on her like they should have
I needed this!! Been hearing about this case everyday with no solid information

Jim sure can 👍
I want to start a channel as well like this , every one lives crime new or old , good luck bro hopefully we all make it 🙏
This turned out to be such a sad story. You did a good job. Thank you for your work
Great breakdown of the story. Since its so current, a lot of people are posting. Awesome job on delivering all the pertinent info. Someone in his family knows where he is. Only a matter of time.
I suspect it's very likely Brian's body will be found somewhere. This guy would not do well in prison.
Ironically, his family's decision to circle round and try to protect him may ultimately result in his death as opposed to a life sentence in prison.
People like him never kill themselves. They are narcissists and think they're smarter than everyone. They never are.
I hope!
But if his body is resulted from Homicide too then the plot is gonna get nuts
I was thinking the same
Once I heard he was on the run, I just knew he is either really running or he is gonna take his own life eventually.
Thanks for doing this. Have been out of the loop on this one and this absolute top quality channel is the best way to learn.
THANK YOU for organizing all this
Wow. I would _hate_ for this to be one of my last "memories" of my daughter before she was _murdered._ I mean, Lord have mercy, she's _crying_ and blaming herself and he's _slapping_ her. I don't know anything about either of them really. But I'm so sad for her parents. His too. Having kids is like giving your heart permission to walk around _outside your chest._ No matter whether she's "of age" or not, she's still someone's _baby._
For real! People are bringing up how hes scratched up so it must be Gabbie who started it. Like what? Yeah hes covered in scratches bc HE was HITTING her so she probably fought back! Its like people forget defensive wounds are a thing
Was there any evidence noted by the cops that Gabby was harmed in any way? Probably not. If so, that would’ve been grounds to at least split them up.
The way you described kids, giving your heart permission to walk around outside your chest.
God. It’s so true.

Absolutely
Yes and I was thinking even if they would have arrested one of them it may have only postponed the outcome - narcissists are good at deceiving and fitting into society while gas lighting in private and I speak from experience as well 💔

The interesting statement from the attorney was less than unpersonal and cold. Also the statement doesnt mention a hope for finding Gabbie safe or alive, just that they find her and she is reunited with her family. Its more than disturbing the micro expressions in the statement. Interesting...
It’s an attorney , they give the bare minimum as to not say anything that maybe cause setbacks in their case.
The attorney should stick to real estate because his complete absence of empathy was evident and made the Laundries appear even more cold-hearted than their own actions did.
Homie couldn't handle the van life
Since I've been interested in true crime, I don't think I've seen a case gain so much attention so quickly as this one. Great coverage here Stayawake, on a topic that's gripping millions.

I really appreciate what you are doing with your channel 🌞
If they would have just took one of them in in the beginning all of this would of been avoided. In California there’s apparently a 0 tolerance on domestic abuse and since she admitted she struck first she would have been taken in. Honestly that situation would have been a lot better then what we discovered.
Huge blunder by police regarding Brian. They have been together for all this time travelling, he comes back and she doesn't. He offered no explanation and he's allowed to just hide? Nah, police should have marched him into the police station and questioned him.
There’s a lot of legal complications with just marching him down to the police station since the police didn’t technically have probable cause. If they had found the body earlier or found physical evidence of any incident then they could’ve got him, but other than that they didn’t have a case on him just yet.
You don't seem to understand how the police work on a fedral level
Sounds like two people who had no business going on a confined trip together. No support for both of them. They should have canceled and flew back home.
RIP
Some victims of abuse don't/won't know necessarily how to navigate out of their terrible situation (not that it's their fault) and some victims don't even know that they are a victim. So it's not like she could've forseen that their camping trip would end the way it did.
