      it's like a robbery gone wrong except it's for sex instead of money. if the victim doesn't see the perpetrator commit the act, then they don't necessarily 'have to' kill them. So a seperate charge accounts for that amibiguity.

    • @sabrinatscha2554
      @sabrinatscha2554 11 місяців тому +6

      I have this vague memory knocking around in my head, of walking in the woods with my friends as a teenager and coming across an entire outfit (shoes and all) of women's clothing just scattered around in one spot, about 40 m off the trail in a small clearing. The more I think back on it, the creepier it seems, because it was everything that a single person would wear, just scattered around, hanging in the bushes... This wasn’t anywhere near any swimming hole and it definitely wasn’t the kind of place people would just go to hang out because we had to bushwhack in order to get to to the spot where we found these items.
      So, either some woman walked into the woods, took off all her clothes and walked away stark naked… or the other, much less savory scenario. I really hope it’s not the latter or that there’s some alternative explanation as to why those clothes were there

It might have just been someone marking trails or working on a house out there, but we camped right by where we found them and didn't see anybody the entire night or next day. When we left, the cans were still there, lids open, but there was a bunch of debris that had clearly fallen from trees the night before. So they had to have been opened recently when we first walked over, but whoever opened them never came back. Such a weird situation I have never been able to understand

      Absolutely. One thing I’ve always heard law enforcement tell people who are in a potential hostage situation is “never let them take you somewhere else.” Once they get you into a car or another building or location your chances of survival decrease significantly. Fight, kick, scream, run. Do whatever it takes to throw them off their game, make it hard for them to get you into a vehicle or get the attention of anyone around. Being quiet and obedient hoping that they’ll have mercy on you doesn’t account of the fact that they are a monster and don’t know what mercy is.

      @@KaelWrit I agree with all of this. To answer one of your questions though: at two points she actually was around people before he brought her back to his house. The first instance was when he brought her to his car. It was parked across the street in a parking lot and a group of people came out of the building while they were getting into the car. The second point was at a stop light they were directly next to a police car and she didn’t make a sound at either location. Now, this is according to Israel so it could be a lie but basically what he said was “I told her if she made a noise she’d be dead right there.” And I know that makes most people not speak up and it worked here as well, but just wanted to answer that one question you had.

    Most true crime folks have heard this before, but some things are worth repeating: If, God forbid, something like this happens never EVER allow them to take you to another place. Fight and win or die where you stand, because if they get you to a 2nd place you will probably suffer horrifically like this young lady (RIP) and many others.
    Don’t go with them, period. I’m no hero and I cannot imagine what she was thinking, but I have learned from these true crime videos what is more than likely to occur if they’re able to take you to another place.
    It is horrible that anyone even has to consider this, but imagine what these poor girls went through. I cannot.
    Easier said than done but fight, they are not taking you to another place for any other reason than exactly what he did. RIP to all victims of this evil POS. God bless the families and I pray they are able to find peace.

      Very true. The best thing she could have done was put up a fight immediately when he pulled a gun. The thing is how would she have known that, even if she did it would be a scary thought to get shot and you would probably want to find another way to get out of it. The biggest issue for this girl was the isolation of being in Anchorage Alaska, it's not like she could have just ran to the next shop over.

Agreed completely ab fight & win or die fighting. I carry a pocket knife, pepper spray & a Glock when I leave the house. Buck knife in my car & medical supplies & blanket & gloves in the trunk. I think the scariest part about this is he had no clear MO. He had no "motive" so to speak. That makes it impossible to "rationalize" or come to terms with the atrocities he committed. Unlike for example a murder for hire plot, which as gruesome as it can get, doesn't get to the level of absolute fear instilling this case does.
