This is actually an incredible show and it is unique and so positive and calming. The production quality is absolutely top notch and Les and Paul are perfect hosts. This is a seriously underrated show. I really hope they continue making more episodes and I hope more people discover this masterpiece of a program.
very well said David
Goose neck barnacles, thank you, I could not remember the name, are they edible?
Lived on the coast all my life, never ate a chiton, when we gathered abalone as children, we discarded the meat, kept the shell for the mother of Pearl.
Agreed. It has criminally low views. It took me a while to decide to jump into it, dunno why. So glad I did though.
PBS always coming clutch funding the best content, love this show.
Thank you so much Les for putting your old episodes on youtube for all to see. This channel is an absolute treasure. You inspired me to get into backpacking a few years ago, and this summer I am finally going out for seven days and nights just like the Survivorman himself. So happy to still be able to see new content and support you all these years after the show.
Each episode of Wild Harvest delivers. Beautiful scenery, reconnecting with nature and a little peace in this hectic world.
les, she is incredible. you need to make more episodes with her. she can teach all of us what she's learned throughout the years
Having chief Paul amazing having expected marking it safe thank you Fiona ty Les for wild harvest

You are a worldwide treasure Mr. stroud. Im at your feet
As someone that lives in a " urban jungle" it is 20 minutes of peace tuning in an learning
All good stuff , Chef Paul , camera man taking some stage highlights 👌 and your wonderful knowlegable guest 👍
Thanks Les, for making this program available for us to watch on this platform. I really look forward to watching Wild Harvest on my weekend mornings.
My Friday morning is now complete!
I have eaten both Chitons & Gooseneck Barnacles, which are delicious! Love your dishes, mouth was watering with the second dish! Perhaps young Ginger with the chitons
I love me some bush Tucker!
Godspeed, Les!👌😊
Peaceful and beautiful place to live sir
In case anyone was curious this was filmed around Victoria B.C. Specifically the cooking portion was at Island View Beach. The harvesting portion appeared to be East Sooke park or the general area around Sooke.
GREAT episode!! Thank you both for sharing this culinary experience
I can think of no better way to spend a relaxing afternoon than catching up on my Wild Harvest vids. Les I've been watching your content for as long as you've been on discovery / youtube. It is always just so good. Thank you for your dedication and passion.
i remember the day i stumbled apon "winter plane wreck" in 2005 on science channel.. i own and have seen every episode of survivorman at least 25 times. some episodes over 100 times.. i wish youd come back for 1 final season. youre the GOAT
Just discovered this show. I love it!
4:10 ha! i'm with you on that one!
it's one of those things to eat that tastes much better than it looks!
Les is a treasure that we all must protect at any costs.
fantastic show as always
Any show you make is brilliant! Thank you so much for joy you give to your viewers!

Hi my name is Julie I'm from Boise Idaho I just love this show make more please
Such a big fan of all you do Les, people owe you a debt of gratitude for the common sense easy to understand productions you have made so people can survive and thrive.
Absolutely awesome video and intrigued to See if any are around here in Newfoundland
This is just wow.....
Hey Les, thanks for uploading all these episodes and the hard work that goes into producing them :D
Another amazing video!! It shows the culinary genius of Chef Paul to take something he has propably never seen before yet was still able to make a meal from to make Les go ...wow!!
Love your videos
This was actually informative and very very soothing to watch! I enjoyed it very much. Less is a class act and I am happy to see him still in the mix! Thank you Less we love you man!
Enjoy this show. Harvesting shellfish during the winter in SanDiego County is what I miss about the Pacific Ocean. There is no fresh ceviche here in East Texas.
Amazing as always. I'm going to research my local barnacles in Australia now.
very happy to have found this series!! Les has always been a wonderful teacher. Survivorman got me to go and explore my world.. Salt of the earth this man.
Not going to miss an episode!! Interested to see what Paul can do with those Chitons!
Fantastic
This is my favorite episode. You should do the wild edibles of the American mid west
Ahh the beautiful Pacific Northwest , my home
Another great episode!
Did you forage for ground nut yet les, or pig nut?
Usually gathered in may when they're in flower
Old ryme. Here we go gathering nuts in May
Permission required from landowner to dig them up, because they became rare
Les, please please please do a reaction/commentary to a Dual Survival episode. Specifically one with Cody and Dave. I just want to hear your thoughts on a show like that where we know Cody and Dave both know there stuff but are still in a high budget show.
Absolutely love these shows.
I love gooseneck barnacles always harvest them an can eat every bit of it fyi beside the shelles
Hey Les, will you ever make an episode in the coastal area of Central Europe? Would you like to visit Poland 🇵🇱?
👍🏻🔥
Plus all natives from my home lands all good an we been eating for years delicious bruh
Every one of those food dishes looked absolutely delicious but how come you guys didn't take the muscles off of where the goosenecks were? But also those dishes that you guys made that chef Paul made looked absolutely wonderful and sounded wonderful that is so awesome I can't wait to see more from you
My one note of caution is to mind where you harvest. Some Oregon tidal zones are labeled Marine Preserves and no harvest of any kind is permitted.
I am curious to know where this was filmed.?
Too bad my palette is not as adventurous as the rest of me.... 😂 Always a pleasure spending time with Les and friends. 🇨🇦
11:32 buggy on the upper blue flower :)
so if you were to eat that poison carret how long do you have to get to help ??
When are you going to continue the director’s commentary
We call those "Percebes" in Spain. They are fantastic, but you should try to cook them the Spanish way. Its amazing. Probably my favourite Spanish seafood.
😍❤😍❤😍❤
Why does chef paul look like Sir Christopher Lee? 😆
3 month's since the last directors commentary. Must be swamped with Wild Harvest and your other productions. Hoping you have the time to get in some rest and relaxation, but your ability to just keep working is also inspiring.
yeaaaah dude i love the commentaries too! I was a religious fan of Survivor Man back when it originally aired and those commentary vids are like the best things ever. Love this show too though. Hopefully he'll do commentary vids on Wild Harvest sometime in the future, lol.
Don’t think us low class can afford such expensive delicacies..I’ll stick to home cheaper staple “cat tail” roots and rock soup🤔but interesting to see how Paul cook it vs other cooking shows
Persian subtitles?
If you get to a point in life where you need or want to eat barnacles, I think you need to reevaluate.
If you get to the point where you aren’t open minded about different food, you need to re-evaluate your life
why
Hes a chief and never heard of the Spanish delicacy. That was on bizarre foods. He's a top cook guy. I fuvking know what the are
Please include Fiona, if you make another session
