    EG4 6000xp Split Phase Inverter:

  • @MrLittleman777

Thank you so much for taking the time to post these videos. I’m just a regular guy homeowner. No electrician. Self taught. I’m stumbling through getting my EG4 connected. Just getting it registered was something else. You’ve covered many topics so far. I’m hesitant on the AC in from my house. It’s 70 years old and only has a hot, common and ground. Unsure of the connection. I reached out to Current Connected, the supplier. Waiting to hear back about the use of the neutral bypass relay. Don’t want to damage anything. But you’re a godsend for information. You say you’re not a techie, but that gives me a chuckle when you say it. Please keep posting and stay safe. And happy new year. J.

Your video helped me get going. I did get inverter and eg4 pro battery working running few things fine. I ran into it not connecting to dongle. I called Signature solar and they called back. They got me updated, setting for my needs and going on wifi. Working great.

  • @randya9143

Thanks for the tip on removing the dongle cover. I have one that is not connecting with no lights. I will try removing the cover tomorrow.

  • @Jophiel50

I appreciate you so much! I am just so happy that this video exists.

  • @booterone1

Great video with lots of info. You are the only one that I have seen that actually shares to code for the Dongle. I had to contact Signature a few times and they finally got back to me. Not sure why they keep it so tight and just don't send it with the inverter. And then to find out, it is s simple, just use the word Signature. I am a new subscriber and hope to see more like this.

Thanks for another good video. With these parallel systems, I wish that the phone app and computer interface would allow a system-wide view. I would like to see the total stats for PV, battery, and load across the entire system, without having to go into each inverter that is in parallel and add them up. Maybe a future update, like when they added SOC.

  • @ejennings98

    Excellent video, very detailed.

  • @amsohn1

Good advice, definitely interesting... thanks for sharing.

  • @RonGallimore

My response from Signature Solar was that we do not have access to the Installer Settings unless we are an installer. I hope you get a better answer since you have a working relationship with SS.

  • @BLEACH500

Im having a problem with my dongle it was working fine but on the computer app it asks for s/n and pin on the same page as total ah so i put in the s/n and pin and clicked set and the dongle stopped working so now all i get is one solid light and one flashing ive tried re entering all the info pushed the button on the dongle to try to get it to connect and no go it works with local but thats it

  • @mcarling6495

There is an option to set the AC output voltage. The default is 120/240V. I would be grateful if you would check and post the range of possible settings.

  • @user-sy9kj1zf1k

    Nice nice, very nice video.

  • @jasperthomas8048

    Great Info!

  • @tjmooney4181

I found out the method for connecting these 6000xp inverters to v2 LL batteries is to put dip switches all down on master, power it off then back on, hold the 3rd button on screen for 5 seconds to enter protocol settings, go into can settings and down to lux 😉

  • @SmithOffGrid

I have the 18kPV and it’s cool to see that the web and mobile interfaces are the same!

  • @OffGridandOutdoors

Will it actually start any inductive loads? Not seeing anyone test this unit on that level. A 3/4hp well pump can pull up to 40amps at start on each leg.

  • @BLEACH500

The dongle not seating properly I’m gonna have to look at that thanks its the only thing i haven’t tried

  • @beebop9808

Building some 16s 304ah packs pretty soon. Hopefully get the JKBMS' talking with the 6000 without too much hair loss. They both talk Pylon, we'll see. Not the end of the world if they don't like each other.

  • @texling93

I'm not currently working at MIT either so I'll probably send mine back............................Just kidding ....but I wow. Got my fingers crossed
