all four people they got to host this thing are mystic actually, per the valor rep on twitter: twitter.com/HelloKellyLink/status/889242327415484416 literally the easiest thing niantic could do - find reps for each respective team - and they completely failed at that too. this whole thing is just uncanny
You know what, mad props to that speaker woman, who had to go out there and pretend like nothing was wrong and be completely enthusiastic about it MULTIPLE TIMES. That is not a job I envy.
@Andrei3253 It wasn't even just mindlessly throwing stuff on stage, that bottle throw was aimed directly at her, which is what makes me RLY upset. Why fuck w/ the person who clearly is not responsible and doing their best?! I hope they "Savagely Seasoned" that A-hole outta there.
Yes, she did a good job. Blizzard has been using her for sc2/hs/blizzcon events for years and did a great job so it was disheartening to see how much abuse she got from the pokemon go crowd.
drowZebra oh stfu white knight. she did a commendable job. pretty impressive. but still everyone had a right to be fucking pissed off at niantics incompetence. people have spent hundreds and thousands of dollars.
I honestly wish it was on his part, as someone who helps my DJ/Band friends load their equipment and do soundchecks, I know he's trash don't worry. Niantic spends the big bucks.
To get that sweet reverb just right. Niantic hires all the pros. You are right though I never noticed background music, and I don't think it was because of the people complaining about refunds or what have you.
"WE FUCKING CAN'T" Holy shit, Niantic is so incompetent. No better way to celebrate the first year anniversary of Pokemon Go than to remind people of how broken the game was when it first launched.
Tatertawt24 if only niantic had control over the weather they would have fucked that too... "we apologize for the tornado we r looking for all the lost kids that got sucked and thrown by the tornado... we made a programming error it was supposed to be sunny today... again we apologize"
He was trying to subtly tell the entire audience he's wearing $800 Yeezy shoes, but in fact he is a gigantic douchebag for pointing our his fucking expensive shoes
But everyone would notice right away if he mention it, I had a Triple Black UB, i wouldn't mention it on stage, if I know it just rain the day before, I'd be prepare for an outdoor event like this one. So yes, he just made an unrelated joke which make him sound like a douche.
tlarn god, I'm never gonna get over the trainwreck that was Fyre Festival. That is going in the hall of history alongside Dashcon under "Super Hyped events that imploded spectacularly"
People were actually taking naps on their blankets and tarps that they brought to sit on (camping chairs were on the prohibited items list). Everyone was crowded into the shaded areas pretty heavily. It felt like a shanty town with cell phones.
The fact that they try to ignore the chanting is so goddamn painful. Like I understand it's part of being a professional presenter, but man I don't think I'd have the strength.
"in a town without pokestops or gyms" "walk [to the next town]" Shit, yeah, let me just walk 10-14 hours to the very outskirts of the nearest big town. If I want to reach downtown, that'll be several more hours of walking on top of that. There are no sidewalks along the way so I can either get hit by a car or bitten by snakes and covered in dozens of ticks by the time I get there. It'll be nighttime, I'll get mugged due to the significantly higher crime rate, and I'll be too worn out from half a day of nonstop marching with no breaks to play for more than a couple of hours at most. Then it'll just be another 10-14 hour walk back to my town under the same conditions, only more exhausted Good idea. Why didn't I think of that?
they were hired to handle that kind of job and hard audience, not to that hard tbh, but they were trying to continue with the schedule and trying to keep the show running, it was the fault of anyone who was behind them to be creative and tell them to do other stuff or go around the topics that sorrounded the main problem of the event, but no, that person behind them was stupid enough to think pushing it to that big crowd wouldmake them think they were part of the big event of their favorite hobbie... I would love to know who the fuck was that person
listening to it back again, you're totally right. But srsly, who uses Nanabs? I just wait until the animation ends, b/c I always know exactly where the pokemon is gonna be when it ends.
I think the most frustrating part of this whole thing is that, on Niantic's biggest day ever, with the trust of thousands of fans, with a YEAR of beta testing and network problem solving to prepare, Niantic STILL couldn't pull through. Fuckin' sad, man. Like, call every data service provider in for some extra juice, bring in your servers dedicated the rest of the world, beta test the impact of what an event like that would do before the big day, DO WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO DO TO NOT LET DOWN YOUR TWENTY THOUSAND BIGGEST FANS.
drowZebra they did call all the service provider and they said they could handle it. what is niantic supposed to do? if they say that have it under control and they dont thats not niantics fault..
big black papi even if they did it last minute, if they cant handle it they should say that and not be like "oh yh sure we can handle that, internet will work fine"
I almost feel bad for her. She's just doing her job, for some franchise she's never cared about. Due to no fault of her own, she became a lightning rod for hate. But then again, hard to feel bad for someone pretending like everyone's problems aren't a thing.
7:00 "honestly it was a great success" -everyone yelling "FIX THE GAME" -someone tried to throw a bottle at that poor woman -people asking for refunds -a lot of people didn't even got to log in Yep....I would totally call that a "great success"
Agreed, I stop play for close to 7 months then decide to come back for the 2nd Gen and to see whether they fixed the game, and to my suspicion, they have not, it feel almost like back when I stop, and instead, they add more microtransaction and more "erratic" way for the pokemon to dodge - now I know it for the gameplay but in the situation, it feel like they do it so then you ran out of pokeball then force you to either endlessly spin the pokestop for random item or just buy it with your money, more cash for them.
Are you saying CrowbCat sticks to PC and console rather than mobile games? I'm not trying to troll, I think the spell check decided to do its own thing there.
I can't wait for it either because of this dude. The guy goes on a month or two ago about plagiarism and talks with the guy that got content stolen from him only for him to say "it's over, we talked about it, we're cool" and then this guy turns around and does the exact same kind of video that Crowbcat does.
What's funny is that there was an articuno raid next to my house and no one showed up but me, they probably killed off a lot of players in that 'fest.'
Huh.. there's no crash bugs, network issues, or authentication issues when I play Pokemon on 3DS.. But really though they should've fixed these things before planning an event like this. Their audience can't even cheer/respond to the questions because no one was able to play! That's.. hilariously ironic
God this is so fucking embarrassing lmao. I know some of it they really couldn't "control" 😒😒😒😂 but to have them all on stage acting hella corny like nothing was wrong the entire time while the crowd was booing and shouting "we can't play"...I'm glad at least the CMO addressed it and they gave out refunds. Really a shame. I can't wrap my brain around how they didn't foresee ANY issues with connectivity & prepare themselves given that they'd have 25k+ people all playing at the same time in a concentrated area..smh. I guess on all ends it sucked for everyone to deal with this.
메종메즈카 that's from a professional standpoint. The spokesmen have nothing to do with how the game is running. They have to speak and did a good job at that.
Yeah no I definitely agree they did a great job and its none of their faults. They were simply going by script and doing their job. I was just expressing how awkward it was to watch them act so enthusiastic while the whole crowd was booing and upset lmaoo.
Please learn from this, corporations of the world. People don't like being fucked with. If there's a problem admit it, don't pretend things are fine, don't try to stick to the plan. Come right out and say "Oh shit we're having a problem, we're working on it, we'll keep you posted"
Day 1: Bad connection, impossible to download, connections go down Day 15: Connection Better, Pokemon Tracker now gone. Impossible to find Pokemon. Day 50: Ratata 100 has ran away again, wasting 500 pokeballs. Day ?!: This game sucks Honestly there were so many red flags, I don't understand why people flew into Chicago for this event. ----- Can someone legitimately explain why they are still playing this game? I know that it's similar Ingress and has the same feel, but it's taken care of so poorly...
Been following you since you were a guest on the Retsuprae podcast. And now I saw you got linked on Kotaku. I'm so happy for you and hope this means you blow up in popularity so you can make lots of money and sell out. Great vid as always! I'd say keep up the great work but I don't doubt that you will.
@bobvids I'm so happy you put this together so my face can be blown up in the disappointment that Articuno was released. Best part about this is I am team mystic.
I was there...and it had so much potential. I loved the good variety of spawns, the leaderboards, free raids that kept rotating, the challenges, the team contributions, and the epic battle that was going to happen at the end...none of it mattered though if the game didn't friggen work. Just breaks my heart thinking what it could've been.
Everyone giving the announcer props... ok she gets credit for having the guts to keep getting out there but that's where it ends. The most basic of presentation skills is to know your audience. They didn't want fake platitudes and a bubbly presenter. They wanted some comfort and understanding. Had she delivered the message Trainer Tips just gave on his channel I think it would have smoothed things over much better.
So.. 20,000 people traveled as far as the other side of the world to play a cell phone game that no one actually owns a tangible copy of? I think there is more messed up than just the game not working as expected.
I think that's pretty shortsighted. Video games can be the only entertainment someone has outside of their job. I don't play this game, very boring, but I play hearthstone, which will soon have gatherings I'd probably attend, so I get it. This is similar to going to a sports game. You are just viewing it, no interaction (so video games are even better about this). Video games are also pretty tangible, you are downloading millions of bits on your phone to play it, this isn't pong. It has enjoyable features. Having a problem with the nature of video games is fine, they are pretty bad for society. However, being passionate about something is in human nature dude.
the girl in the instinct top is in mystic
all four people they got to host this thing are mystic actually, per the valor rep on twitter: twitter.com/HelloKellyLink/status/889242327415484416
literally the easiest thing niantic could do - find reps for each respective team - and they completely failed at that too. this whole thing is just uncanny
bamboozled again!
bobvids lmao *JUST*
Ya Boy Redzozo she was a stellar actor!
Cos no one is instinct
You know what, mad props to that speaker woman, who had to go out there and pretend like nothing was wrong and be completely enthusiastic about it MULTIPLE TIMES. That is not a job I envy.
someone throw bottle at her... I've been on local black metal concerts with more pleasing crowd than this :D
The game crashing is not a good excuse to be an animal. Hope that person got caught and kicked out.
@Andrei3253 It wasn't even just mindlessly throwing stuff on stage, that bottle throw was aimed directly at her, which is what makes me RLY upset. Why fuck w/ the person who clearly is not responsible and doing their best?!

Sunshine: Don't drag me into your mess
It's an okay Mario game. But I wouldn't actually cheer for it.
Alpha Cult Why do people dislike him?
Ka Chow They paid money to go to an event and the game wasn't working
Holy shit never had this many likes
*"WE CAN'T PLAY!"*
This looks like an unmitigated disaster. I hope some people brought their 3DS's at least.
So they could play some real fucking Pokemon while waiting for their busted fake Pokemon game to finally work? Lol!
rollerz none of these people know what a 3ds is they just play this bullshit
I was even more impressed by that one guy screaming, *"WE FUCKING CAN'T!"*
Play 3ds at home the whole reason Pokémon GO is fun is because you actually have to go outside and explore to find and catch Pokémon.
GIVE IT UP FOR DJ ECHO!
*Reverb louder than his crappy disk scratch*
lol he's trash
DJ.... ECHO? REVERB? IS THAT A JOJO REFERENCE?
I honestly wish it was on his part, as someone who helps my DJ/Band friends load their equipment and do soundchecks, I know he's trash don't worry. Niantic spends the big bucks.
carefreeworldMK.2 Why was that dude even there
To get that sweet reverb just right. Niantic hires all the pros.
You are right though I never noticed background music, and I don't think it was because of the people complaining about refunds or what have you.
"DJ ECHO HOW YA DOIN?"
*wish swoosh*
"uhh...back to you!"
Wew Lad he didn't have a mic. What did you want him to do? I think it's the least cringe worthy thing that happened there
"alright..."
When you hear so many people screaming the word "Refunds", you'd better fucking _run for your life_
"WE FUCKING CAN'T"
Holy shit, Niantic is so incompetent. No better way to celebrate the first year anniversary of Pokemon Go than to remind people of how broken the game was when it first launched.
I am so sorry to everyone who attended, but I laughed so much at that heckle! (sorry.)
kek they are the worst company, I feel sorry for pokemon
"a poke-ee-ball" "poke-ee-mon" "poke-ee-coins" Can we get some speakers who actually know what the fuck they're talking about?
To be fair, there was only 50 people working there at the start. They were not prepared to deal with all of this.
It still is, I found a Lugia raid but it didn't even let me fucking swipe down when I tried to customize my team
I savage seasoned that poke-man so hard my feet got wet
Gotta give them respect for not straying from the script at all. They stayed on message like their life depended on it!
pavi it probably did...
I think Pat from Super Best Friends said it best. "My job is to come out here and say 10 lines and i'm gonna fucking say these 10 lines."
pavi um not sure why you think that's a good thing, they kept ignoring all the complaints and pissed everyone off
I felt physically attacked by Mystic 7. As the WAZZUP came out, my body involuntarily jerked upwards as if I had been legdropped in the stomach
"My shoes are soaked from all the pokemon out there" guys look at my yeezys
GOBLUEBOY777 "I just copped some YEEEZYS"
GOBLUEBOY777 "I just copped some YEEEZYS"
IT LOOKS LIKE WE GOT SOME SUNSHINE TODAY SO LET'S HEAR IT FOR SUNSHINE
Tatertawt24 if only niantic had control over the weather they would have fucked that too... "we apologize for the tornado we r looking for all the lost kids that got sucked and thrown by the tornado... we made a programming error it was supposed to be sunny today... again we apologize"
what did he mean. what did he mean. how were his shoes soaked
Jasper Rolls because of all the pokemon out there.
It rained the previous day. The ground was wet.
He was trying to subtly tell the entire audience he's wearing $800 Yeezy shoes, but in fact he is a gigantic douchebag for pointing our his fucking expensive shoes
he never said he was wearing yeezys at all tho, he just made a shitty joke, I don't think that makes him a douchebag
But everyone would notice right away if he mention it, I had a Triple Black UB, i wouldn't mention it on stage, if I know it just rain the day before, I'd be prepare for an outdoor event like this one. So yes, he just made an unrelated joke which make him sound like a douche.
Glad to see Niantic haven't lost their touch!
Nomicro4u hey ur a famus u tuber
I mean at least these people got their refunds and then some. They weren't shipped to an island and then shoved into disaster tents.
tlarn god, I'm never gonna get over the trainwreck that was Fyre Festival.
That is going in the hall of history alongside Dashcon under "Super Hyped events that imploded spectacularly"
Maybe they should have been
People were actually taking naps on their blankets and tarps that they brought to sit on (camping chairs were on the prohibited items list). Everyone was crowded into the shaded areas pretty heavily. It felt like a shanty town with cell phones.
Some people spent a lot on flights and hotels so the refund doesn't make up for it
I mean, yeah they got refunds, but does that help the people that flew in for this? Nope. No it doesn't.
The fact that they try to ignore the chanting is so goddamn painful. Like I understand it's part of being a professional presenter, but man I don't think I'd have the strength.
GhenryPerez it’s what there Forces to do they don’t really have much of a choice to touch on it due to the higher ups
perfectly edited. I laughed so hard thank you for this gem
me too especially at 6:39 i laughed so hard
I hate to be the programmers of the game because they're probably sweating bullets during this whole event.
"we can't play"
Basically every player on a town without pokestops or gyms.
KingFossilFER walk
KingFossilFER there isnt anythung within three miles of my house. Its called walking.
im 30 miles away from a city, in a third world country.
"in a town without pokestops or gyms" "walk [to the next town]" Shit, yeah, let me just walk 10-14 hours to the very outskirts of the nearest big town. If I want to reach downtown, that'll be several more hours of walking on top of that. Good idea. Why didn't I think of that?
"Everyone getting better connection? Nice!" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
My god that poor people on stage
The lack of tact towards presenters is the real cringe.
The lack of self awareness of presenters to realize they were pushing shit is the real cringe Poketto
They're getting paid to push it. I think they were very aware, but just trying to get it over with, and I think they did the best they could.
Poketto Everyone had the right to be mad
they were hired to handle that kind of job and hard audience, not to that hard tbh, but they were trying to continue with the schedule and trying to keep the show running, it was the fault of anyone who was behind them to be creative and tell them to do other stuff or go around the topics that sorrounded the main problem of the event, but no, that person behind them was stupid enough to think pushing it to that big crowd wouldmake them think they were part of the big event of their favorite hobbie...
I would love to know who the fuck was that person
WE FUCKING CANT HAHAHAHAHA
It's tragically funny that they need to keep chatting as lovely as they can while everyone is terribly pissed and for good reason.
3:35 "Only idiots use Nanabs!" "No, they don't. That was a mean comment there..."
Lmao
listening to it back again, you're totally right.
But srsly, who uses Nanabs?
I just wait until the animation ends, b/c I always know exactly where the pokemon is gonna be when it ends.
Nanabs literally only good for feeding pokemon in gyms
listened to that part again and wow, that's totally what he said!
LordSMAF The only thing Nanabs are useful for is to waste on healing Pokémon at a gym.
oh wow i dislike the "savage seasoned" guy's shtick
Pokemon Go is his fucking "career". Fuck this guy.
tdtbaa Same, he’s so cringey
aw c'mon guys he's alright
Pretty much everything that could of gone wrong at the fest, went wrong
Have*
Goshawk It can be "could have" or "could've" but never "could of". For more information on grammar please read a book or a dictionary.
*could've
Niantic is incompetent, period.
drowZebra they did call all the service provider and they said they could handle it. what is niantic supposed to do? if they say that have it under control and they dont thats not niantics fault..
fang that's because they did it last minute. If they did it before hand it wouldn't be an issue
big black papi even if they did it last minute, if they cant handle it they should say that and not be like "oh yh sure we can handle that, internet will work fine"
fang Bro, they said 'it should be fine' Niantic can still demand they come over, at cost if needed.
She wants to cry because of all the hate and she needs to continue with a fake smile
Malcolm Koh IK right hahahahah she so cringe
you just have to say that you're fine, but you're not fine.. you know the rest
Zappy-N lol😂😂
I almost feel bad for her. She's just doing her job, for some franchise she's never cared about. Due to no fault of her own, she became a lightning rod for hate.
But then again, hard to feel bad for someone pretending like everyone's problems aren't a thing.
Yes
6:12 Ugh, that has to be the WORST 'water bottle challenge' I've ever seen.
7:00 "honestly it was a great success"
-everyone yelling "FIX THE GAME"
-someone tried to throw a bottle at that poor woman
-people asking for refunds
-a lot of people didn't even got to log in
Yep....I would totally call that a "great success"
Her reaction was faker than the people in go fest completing the catch bonus challenge
Guess Niantic never updated those servers. Just waited for people to stop playing and complaining.
Wasn't the servers, it was the cell towers overloading. People should be mad at their cell phone companies.
Not their servers, it was cell phone connectivity. Hahaha it's like they have never been to a concert or a stadium. Cell service just disappears.
Thanks Woolie
Lmao. we fucking can't!
When your game does 1 thing, it should never fail to do that 1 thing.
This video was "Savage seasoned." God, I feel like taking a shower after typing that.
'Pokemon Go is my full time duty career lifestyle'......bruh
helsinki lmao, i would do the same thing if i could
helsinki we told him to go back to Clash but noooooo!
helsinki he's such a fucking poser lol.
Who is this and what have you done with Crowbcat?
MillywiggZ LOL
MillywiggZ his only sting the wound to console and PC not mobile game

But really though they should've fixed these things before planning an event like this. Their audience can't even cheer/respond to the questions because no one was able to play! That's.. hilariously ironic
"a poke-ee-ball" "poke-ee-mon" "poke-ee-coins" Can we get some speakers who actually know what the fuck they're talking about?
I always call my résumé a "reesum-ee" and all my interviewers don't think I'm mispronouncing anything.
It's because they're being polite and noting you have a speech impediment. Did you want them to call you a moron or laugh at your face?
What???
God this is so fucking embarrassing lmao. "Only because they don't have any."
Fucking dead
You know you have issues when you coin terms like "Savage season" for a simple act of feeding a berry.
I lost my shit when that guy yelled "We fucking can't"
3:54 I love how they go on break the camera pans up to the live feed, it crashes and it just awkwardly pans down at them on break lmao.
"I cant wait to see all the video content that comes out of this..."

KhazWolf were you watching the same video I was watching?
People don't like being blatantly fucked, in the most obvious way imaginable.
I feel so bad for these pple on stage
Day 1: Bad connection, impossible to download, connections go down
Day 15: Connection Better, Pokemon Tracker now gone. Impossible to find Pokemon.
Day 50: Ratata 100 has ran away again, wasting 500 pokeballs.
Day ?!: This game sucks
Honestly there were so many red flags, I don't understand why people flew into Chicago for this event.
-----
Can someone legitimately explain why they are still playing this game? I know that it's similar Ingress and has the same feel, but it's taken care of so poorly...
Killing The Backlog eh some people like myself use it as an excuse to get out of the house because we have no life or friends.
Ahh, well I guess that's good. It helps you get out of the house.
I didn't even know this shit was going on I live in Chicago then I see a lot of people n shit like wtf did we legalize weed? Lmao
I can't even tell what's worse, the crowd or the people on stage acting like nothing is going on LOL
Let's say something positive about fyre fest 2.0 at least no one died
Pokemon Go died JK I play it
Oh no...
I could watch this all day, I hope there are more videos like this from the event.
s a v a g e s e a s o n
Let’s hear it for sunshine 🤣🤣🤣 omg I’m dying 😵

2:06 Make sure to catch those last pokemon!
"WE FUCKING CAN'T"
I fucken lost it when that happened
5 years later and this game still performs just as embarassingly badly, if not worse.
"WE FUCKING CANT" lmao nice touch
This was more cringey than Minecraft con
Realnickp22 Close second.
Be sure to catch those last Pokemon so they count! :D
*WE FUCKING CAN'T!*
I lost it XD
Niantic CEO sounds like Mr. Mackey from South Park
Savage Season guy is so cringe.
@bobvids I'm so happy you put this together so my face can be blown up in the disappointment that Articuno was released. Best part about this is I am team mystic.
This has legit made my night, I can stop laughing 😂
welcome to the "future" where cell towers can only handle so much.
I'M SO EXCITED
(looks at cue card, what are these nerds excited about again?)
I love you for uploading this.
how many fails in one day... u can literally put this all for 2017 fail compilation and nothing else would compete
dashcon 2.0
Chicago people are so mean, honestly. Why would you even hold an event in that god forsaken hell hole.
*d e e p d i s h*
Oh ya i forgot about deep dish...
Most of them were from out of the city
Bitch I didn't even know this was happening I was walking then saw a fuck load of people I thought we legalized weed or something
"We fucking can't!" I died when I heard that lol
In regards to the festival itself, Murphy's Law. All I'll say.
I feel like the blonde chick was close to crying a few times
This is the highlight of my year
I love this video so much I watch it like every month
3:48 That's killed me.
I love listening to the rage of the crowd, just epic
I replayed this video too many times this is far too funny 😂😂😂
My shoes are soaked, from all the Pokemon out there.
Shealoac seriously! i wasn't even there and im finding her to be obnoxious and patronizing.
You'd think a professional Pokemon Go player could throw something at a slow moving target better than that
Holy shit this was hard to sit through... but in a good way.
Beautiful editing sir
They got refunds for the Fest, but not for the travel costs..
Savage season
@@dabqu yo don't talk shit about pong like that
*_I guess that Niantic was mystic and had no instinct and lost our Valor_*
this is the best gift i've ever been given by fellow man. oh god.. it's so good.
