The single worst moment of my entire life is recorded somewhere as a 911 call. There are no words to describe what I'd do if I found someone using it to pad out some trashy horror game.

Anyone can request a recording for a 911 call but it is entirely up to whoever owns the record (ala, the department in which its kept) whether or not the request will be accepted or rejected. Nothing illegal about it. Is it extremely fucked up the developer used real audio of someone right before they were SA'd? Yes. Is it illegal? No. I'm not sure of the legal situation surrounding the possibility of the person in the call being able to sue the developer for intentional emotional distress to someone who is disabled (in this case, the person in the call would have been experiencing extreme trauma that would leave them with PTSD, which counts as a disability). If they are able to sue the developer for some sort of intentional harm, I would love for them to do so. The only way to get to these kinds of people is for them to face monetary consequences. I just hope the person who's 911 call was used for a shitty horror game by a shitty person is doing well while this guy has a horrible downfall sooner rather than later.

The song that used it was done with much more respect towards the person and subject. There are various songs that use audio of seized evidence as well as 911 calls so it goes to show that they are relatively easy to get ahold of if you know what you're looking for.

I frankly don't think a reenactment is enough. He should have written a new one; preferably one that isn't as loaded and emotionally damaging as an SA.

Using real 911 calls reminds me of that movie trailer that used the Beirut explosion, except there they _maybe_ have the excuse of it just being laziness instead of malice. In this case, though, if they really did have voice actors do a recreation and _still_ went with the original call, even the lowest bar of possible laziness is no defense. That's just a poor sense of ethics, one that seemingly hasn't improved.

News broadcasters showing similar info is serving a public, ex and the format gives weight to what is being presented, they have leeway but have standards of showing clips; Movies/TV shows can’t unless they properly address the clip because they will get sued, Documentaries have standards that have to be abided by, and when they are in the grey area of permission they are rated stricter because of it.
It's wild how some people will insist that someone simply connecting public details of their life is "destroying" them. Dude is just mad that actions have consequences.

„Cancellation“ only really works on niche internet celebrities (or when the recipient goes to jail). The only person that comes to mind right now, that truly got cancelled in the fullest sense of the word, is… James Somerton. Even Kanye, who had one of the worst celebrity meltdowns I have ever seen, is still doing just fine. He did his little „apology“, his weird foldable socks are probably gonna sell like hotcakes, and I bet his next album/song is gonna be another megahit as well.
There are currently celebrities out there who are peddling anti-vax propaganda and other conspiracy theories, promoting cults, had/have sexual relations with multiple minors (or at least people who are multiple decades younger than them), have a history of committing hate crimes, and so so much more, yet they’re all doing completely fine.

It seems like there are a growing number of people who confuse 'criticism' with 'harassment'. Maybe it's a coincidence, but it also seems to happen most with those who seem incapable of critical thinking.
Do you know where the border is? Does author of this video? Critising some game or the fact that someone is giving misleading information about game/studio etc. is OK. Looking into what someone likes on Twitter really looks more like harrasment.

I've watched a playthrough of stray souls on UA-cam like eight times at this point so it's safe to say I'm utterly captivated by it. I am not exaggerating here when I say not a single thing in that game makes any sense. Things are just constantly randomly happening for no coherent reason. It is such a high amount of incompetency on display that honestly artur should have just kept making games under the same studio name, bc there's a nonzero chance it would attract a Niel Breen-esque audience to it just from how hilariously bad its games are. Of course Niel Breen doesn't go around threatening lawsuits and liking racist and transphobic tweets so he'd still have that going against him.

I saw this pop up on twitter on Jukai's feed, I wanted to reply but ultimately did not.
I was very excited for Stray Souls but a few weeks before release I heard about the devs engaging with alot of transphobia so I took it off my list.
I found it ironic that Jukai stated in their post that they've dealt with alot of harassment while also going out of their way to tag you like 9 times. Plus, the comments they showed from fans being from explicitly right wing accounts praising them for standing up to the "libtards."
All in all, an incredibly gross situation. I think your critiques of them are perfectly justified and them retaliating with comments of how "mentally unwell" it made them feel is classic manipulative deflection we've seen in so many different youtuber apologies funnily enough. They don't feel bad and they haven't changed at all and them surrounding themselves with hateful anti LGBTQIA+ accounts shows they'd rather insulate themselves in an echochamber rather than actually reflect.

I played this on my channel recently and it's honestly one of the worst horror experiences I've had. You can tell right away that it's just an asset flip turning out to be a sorry excuse of a horror game.

I'm going to blame Bob for every game that fails in the survival horror space. Retroactively. Konami fired Kojima and cancelled Silent Hills because of a Bobvid. Callisto Protocol's medocrity? Due to an ill-timed Bobvid. Team Silent's dissolution? That's right, Bobvids did that. I also have it on good authority that Bobvids personally removed the compelling gameplay from Outlast 2. Silent Hill 2 remake was Bobvids idea.

This video is my introduction to you and your channel (found a link to this from the steam review comment section of the Supernormal store page 💀💀💀) and lemme just say, I have subscribed and very much enjoyed the video!
Imagine my surprise that he'd turn to blaming others for the game's crappy reception and his prior online behavior. Ah yes, because the call out campaign was so incredibly time consuming Artur couldn't log off twitter long enough to finish the game they started. After your post back in Jun, things died out considerably by July and were widely left alone until the release of the game. Because as usual, if it doesn't affect people directly, people don't care about racism or transphobia. Heck, I forgot all about it until Steph (of Jimquisition) mentioned it in one of their videos back in Oct, and I went to check the steam reviews and forums. Funny how you're blamed for the obvious lack of .. everything in the game; given that on release date they had 88 negative reviews and nearly none of them made mention to Artur's media mishaps. lol
I believe from reading the forums there is in fact two "developers", and you might have gotten ahold of the other one, because people don't usually do that great a job of playing dumb. It's also rumored on the Steam forum posts there's two people responsible. But who knows, neither of them would come forward then or now, and they're both likely to be equally unlikeable given the state of this game, and how they ran away with people's money.

The second party to this madness was Pete Wicher aka the Music Composer, who just so happens to be a part of Nightwolf Games, who also just happens to be making yet another psychological horror called Road to Hollow Hills, which looks oddly similar? While it's not unlikely for two studios to share a music/sfx artist, it is uncommon for that other studio's main steam account to make comments on the Stray Soul's steam discussion page.
Looking more into the game Road to Hollow Hills, I fucking see it. Very homecoming/downpour vibes with a Murphy Pendleton-esque protag wrongfully jailed, apparently. Even one of the screenshots on the store page for the game has a SH2/SH3 toilet reference in a bathroom with "that's gross, even for me". I even googled some gameplay shots of Silent Hill Downpour, and they look super similar.
thanks for this vid, I watched the Supernormal trailer during some game show and I was interested but knowing about the dev and how he not only is a weirdo pos but just untalented and doesnt respect his peers just isn't something I'd support.

So funny story. After rewatching "Sustaining Stupidity - Why CinemaSins is Still Terrible", I wanted to see if you were working on any new projects. So I looked you up on twitter and found the accusation post from Jukai Studio's. Now I've seen my fair share of posts like this, so I could tell something was up. The examples he gave didnt really help his case either. I'm glad to at least have a fuller picture.

im gonna take a hit here and say something as someone graduating from a game dev university this year in poland: no one respects bloober here lmao - they carry themselves with so much pomp as if they are heel to heel with CDPRO but they end up putting out mediocore projects and ALLEGEDLY have terrible working conditions - had a couple folk from my uni QC for them forr uni credit and, well, let's say they didn't stay lol
(Adam being an ass is just a cherry on top - good work on pronouncing his surname btw, polish sucks ball. Hot tip if you want to roast him more accurately, in his name the accent would fall on the first syllable: Ar - tur [up, down])

My friend used to work in the same building as bloober and some of his friends worked there, I don't remember him talking about bad work conditions, but I do remember hearing how they were scrambling for game designers and particularly people who know how to develop combat haha. Also got some leaks from the guy developing the fog, he was using the PS2 models though which I found pretty odd.
@CaecusYT YES oh my god they were always hiring, it felt like they were going through a mill of people, it was a miracle they settled on a proper team before the game was halfway done
From what she told me it was just a lot of responsibilities from other teams being dumped on teams that they were not always qualified in (think pulling environmental design/level design to do animation because they are short on ppl or deadline is close)

Oh off note-- I was curious and looked up the book you used as a reference for a transcript of the 911 call and saw it was 'Shooting Straight', which was basically a pro-gun/2nd amendment book, who's author I recognized from somewhere.

Right before this (supernormal) I watched someone play this and they mentioned the mixed reviews in the beginning of the video and it all comes full circle, that’s why there’s so many mixed reviews I feel like I just got the last piece in a 20 year investigation
