Niantic CEO John Hanke needs to go. What a huge epic fail this was. It has damaged the Pokemon brand massively. I feel so sorry for all those people, some who spent thousands of dollars and came from overseas to go to that event and couldnt even catch one pokemon.
Hanke should have been fired about 10 months ago when he flat out said "the community has no idea what they want, I know what they want, and they will play according to my vision" John, all we wanted then is the same we want now. A FU**ING GAME THAT WORKS AS ADVERTISED. Seriously, after over $1BILLION in revenue, this is what they come up with? Pokemon Company needs too send over some Yakuza enforcers and clean house.

They've paid an entry fee, had too line up for ages and some may have pay loads of money to get to their and they can't even play the game. I understand their frustration.
Still, no reason to blame the poor people on stage trying to do their job or throw water bottles at them OR chair rudely when anyone on stage tries to talk. :/

Many of the providers said that they would be fine, but just in case Niantic asked them to provide "mini cell towers" to try and make sure the game was running smoothly and everyone could play. Most of the providers again said that they would be fine and therefore did not provide anything. Don't blame Niantic for the server issues blame the Service providers.

you know, when you think about it, the people outside the fest who wanted to go but couldn't totally got screwed over. They didn't get any of the special Pokemon, didn't get any of the $100 poke coins and don't get the legendaries yet. If they wanted to go like me, but the tickets where sold out and too expensive, you found. joy in the fact that you could help the people in the fest and interact with them. For me, not having that ability, coupled with the poor communication was just horrible. Like if you agree and would like to be rewarded in some way.
Actuly niantic made the raidise of the feast bigger. About half way through the feast, so even if you where out side the fest grounds u could still get the feast mons including the legendary. That made even more people mad.
At this point, I would say Niantic is just as bad, or even worse than EA. They ignore the most obvious things that a game needs, they won't listen to their fans unless it's a mob screaming at then in person, and their big game, Pokemon Go, feels like a tech demo for something greater, and has so much potential, but is just shit on. I'd list more things, but a Pokemon Go update dropped, I gotta go see the patch notes to see if they have any minor text fix patches.

(btw who cares about legendarys at go fest, u can just catch them elsewhere lol) But yeah go fest was a huge mess haha Some people probably spent like 500$ to even get there(including place to sleep and eat and so on) And only thing they got was 100$ pokecoins for alot more money and alot of stress xD Events like this probably wont come anymore sadly
