Leaving Drake broke and the label taking all their money. So they’re forced to move in with Josh. Drake gets his band back together to help pay bills. His daughter gets a job at the same movie theater Josh worked at. Helen is still the boss. Mindy is the principal at the same school Josh works at(just to one up him). The whole plot of the show is Drake trying to fix his daughter and his reputation musically so they can jump on another label. While Josh and Mindy go back and forth at each other until they fall in love again eventually having a baby. At this time the show ends. While Drake and his daughter both became a father/daughter duo for a famous label. Give me a job. I’ll write the show.

This was recorded the same day Josh lied and dragged Drakes name through the mud, something he didn’t need cuz he already was in the aftermath of some legal trouble. Seeing your husbands name tarnished again but because of many lies is something I’m pretty sure any spouse would get upset about. And while she shouldn’t have gotten upset that Drake wouldn’t badmouth Josh, you could tell Drake was probably hurting a bit about the lies so she was tryna get the frustration out for the both of them. I completely get why drake has repeatedly made the comparison of dean Martin and Jerry Lewis cause that is like how Drake and Josh's style of comedy (imo going all the way back to there work together on the Amanda show) felt. I get Josh didn't want to be the Lewis to Drake's Martin but I just wish we got at least a spiritual successor to Drake and Josh if not a flat out reboot.

I think Josh should be a married man with kids while Drake will remain single who only do one night stands ( it should be a an adult show ) in his cheap appartement that he will lose it cause he coulnd't pay the rent so he asked his step brother to live in his house and that's how they reunite.
I always saw the reboot kinda like two and a half men, josh is successful, like a software developer or game developer cause he was always smart and drake is a struggling musician

Drake should’ve been a rockstar hiding from the irs in Josh’s multiple house’s for sale who tries to sneak off into Mexico later on becoming a big pop star over there and advertising for Josh Mexican resorts and real estate but with some comedic situations happening.
It’s sad what has happened between Drake and Josh and then the recent documentary and learning what happened to Drake. I honestly get Josh and that he might’ve felt a certain way being the fat kid on the show but even then I don’t think people thought he was a joke meme. He was loved because him and Drake were hilarious as fuck and as the show went on he lost weight and still balled. I thought Josh made it very clear like forever ago he didn't like the show, I remember him saying somewhere that he didn't like that drakes name goes first and he didn't like that everyone treated him like crap all the time and made fun of how he looks with the big head thing and his weight he said it was a time he wants to forget completely the whole show everything about it.

I really don't get how Josh hated being on Drake and Josh. the constant jokes about Josh's big head on the show were hilarious. He never got made fun of for his weight and he also lost all that weight when the show was wrapping up. He began looking as good as Drake did. and got funnier too

I get it, there are certain things we grew up with that we wanted to see evolve into something serious that had potential to be extremely cool like power rangers… not drake and josh and not fresh prince. The MAGIC of those shows were in their own.. magical and it’s important to restore that magic. We wanted power rangers to be serious and cool not this show.
