@@gmic56ify Exactly. The only reason her treating her crew so terribly has stayed under wraps for so long is because no one talked and this is the same way with her guests; Had they dared to talk back the way Celine did here, then it would have been for more clear to people that what Ellen did was too far and we'd probably all realised sooner that her crew got the same lack of respect.
I remember Nicky from Nicky tutorials talking about being on Ellen after her coming out as a trans woman, she talked to Mathijs van Nieuwkerken, a tv host in my and Nicky her home country. And Nicky said she felt pretty much unwelcome, she didn't get to talk to Ellen before the show at all and there was no talk on what Ellen was going to ask so Nicky had no idea what to expect and couldn't tell what she preferred wouldn't be mentioned for example. She gave an example; "Coming here (on the show of Mathijs) you said 'hi' to me before the show, and Ellen didn't do that, at all." No hello or small talk at all. Ellen even now claims she had no idea that her crew treated other people of her crew poorly (as if she had nothing to do with it).

I agree, and yet it's not an unusual question for men, either - they ask actors like Hugh Jackman the same question all the time - how they prepare themselves physically for a role. Many of the questions could have been taken in a neutral way, but people are so quick to make stereotypical assumptions - either way...

Why is no one talking about how the male interviewer asked the two actresses if being women and therefore getting their period makes their job difficult for them because he thinks they start fights. He is a brazilian humorist, from an old comedy show (like 10y ago) that does not run anymore, most of the humor they did was with celebrities. They acctually had a part of the show with silly interviews, there was this other guy that was the "oblivious interviewer" that today is a huge BR late night presenter. As they started to get bigger within BR TV they did some stuff with foreing celebrities, it seldom worked out cause the us celebrities did not understand that they were from a comedy show nor didn't get that type of BR humor. Usually brazilian humor likes to target celebrities cause we see as they live in a bubble that does not get normal people struggles. But nowadays this kinda humor is dying cause everybody is fragile and ofended.
