    I used to workout fasted, but now that I’ve learned to really listen to by body, I eat to fuel and build muscle. Not just to burn fat and lose weight. Great podcast guys.

  • @drip369
    @drip369 2 місяці тому +2

    It has been noted that you can get the most performance out of yourself if you eat 2 to 3 hours before training but if your body adapts to fast the training or fasted cardio, then it really doesn't make a difference. You have to train whenever it fits for you since we all don't live in the prediluvian world where things are more chaotic now and people are extremely busy even though we have solved so many of our problems over the decades the do it works for you. In the real world you have to get up and go, back in the day if an intruder or an animal was threatening the family you had to wake up immediately Sprint and fight. You didn't have time to warm up you didn't have time to eat you didn't have time to do anything, same with waking up early in the morning as farmers who have to feed their animals before they feed themselves, they don't have time to eat first and warm up and all that stuff so that mentality I took with me as a man in my early twenties (I'm now in my thirties), so I have adapted to being able to wake up and do a few priming exercises and get to training. Not everybody can do this

    Thank you, guys! I can't tell you how much I have learned from you over the past month. I have been following you all for about 5 weeks or so. I completely changed my entire program/way I was working out and eating. I was the chronic over extreme cardio and extreme cutting of calories Group Exercise girl. No wonder I had stalled and wasn't making an progress. I started trying to hit my protein goals every day and I started lifting 3 times a week, taking walks here and there...and WOW! The results have been dramatic; so much so that my husband noticed and started asking me about how I was eating and working out. He has now joined me in my morning lifting sessions in the morning. It has been great for our relationship as well. We get to spend more time together. It is such a fun, supportive way for us to bond and encourage each other. Your coaching has been such a great thing for me. I feel like I have possibly been over inflamed with the excess and extreme cardio and calorie depletion. It really feels like my body is releasing that inflammation, extra fat,... I feel 100% better. I am sleeping better...and I am eating way more than I have ever eaten. So THANK YOU in so many ways.

    The program works.. I’m on week three of anabolic (started with pre phase).. using creatine and eating a lot including high calorie drinks. Prob gunna switch to traditional protein shakes because the boost drinks get expensive and I can get more protein with powder. In one month I went from 154lbs to 171lbs. I know there’s water weight in there and some fat… but I’m happy with that as I’m just trying to bulk and put calories on. I haven’t even done the trigger exercises as much as I should and I already see huge results. I think I’ll see even more results being better with the trigger exercises and trad. protein shakes.

    I rarely do fasted training, prefer to just have a little sportsgel or sip on some simple carbs during the workout if there s no time to eat. Not for glycogen for the muscles, but some glucose for the brains to make it feel good. Whats 100 calories on your daily calorie budget if it can make your workout “feel” much better (rpe) - > increase the enjoyment of your workout.. no sugar peaks because your using/burning it. Eat a decent snack/meal after

    I workout at 4am four times a week so I like working out fasted. By the time I’m finished with my workout the kids are up and getting ready for school. I get them ready and off to school then I’ll have my low carb high protein breakfast. It’s usually an omelette with 2 eggs, 100 grams of egg whites, 4 chicken sausages, 20 grams of cheddar cheese and whatever veggies I have in the fridge. Delicious and very filling! Keeps me full until lunch. I weigh everything I eat and count calories. Am I wasting time counting calories? I just want to make sure I get in enough protein because I don’t do protein shakes.

    • @aleksandrap7336
      @aleksandrap7336 2 місяці тому +1

      It's not waste. I do same. I would consider adding some carbs. They are great for energy. Also if you eat same food daily you could stop counting calories and only count on days you eat drastically different food

      @KS-vx1oq 2 місяці тому +1

      Thanks, I’m considering eating until I’m full and not counting calories but I don’t want to overeat. I try not to eat refined carbs like bagels, breads and pastries. I do like steel cut oats, sprouted grain bread, or potatoes. That’s where I get my carbs in. I try not to overdo the carbs because honestly I like them way too much. 😅

    I prefer gummy vitamins and supplements also. Taking a pill form even with food can bother me. It is like a bag of gummy candies every day.

    Literally none of this extra specific shit matters, eat when you want, workout when you want(just try to be well rested) and do whatever form of cardio you want. There’s no “secret formula” lmao everybody is different, so listen to your body like they’re saying

    It's so refreshing to hear fitness advice where you get the honest truth that supplements aren't these magic pills. Yeah, they will help you, but 99% of the results come from you putting in the work, not the next fad supplement.

    19:58 I agree! I hate the fake AI. It’s not like I want to accept that and then have our brainwashed brains eventually not know the difference between actual human ads and AI! I hate it. 😅 I will not watch them. Just so ya know

    I can't understand how people can denounce or minimize (good) research. If I acted in accordance with what "feels" right, I would stay at home and eat Oreos and M and Ms. Feelings aren't fact. Numbers (research) don't lie. With all due respect, I get so sick of "I am different." What is the purpose of research then? Why listen to some research and not others?
