Kelly and Kyle of Cruiser Customizing show the step by step installation of the Vance & Hines Cruzers, a very popular Vance and Hines full system exhaust. Some key points to remember when installing your own exhaust pipes are:
Double Check Fitment
Inspect all Parts Carefully
Confirm Packing List Components
Replace Exhaust Gaskets
Clean Prior to Initial Start
Adjust Air Fuel Mixture if Necessary
This installation on the V-Star 650 shows the re-use of the front head pipe, however most of the Vance & Hines Crusiers Exhaust Pipes for most other models replace the entire stock system.
The steps outlined in this installation are common in most Vance & Hines full system installations.

Your the only install video to insist on replacing the header gaskets, most important! On most Honda's the gasket is a "crush" type and only good for one tightening. Thanks!
Hey, guys, this was incredibly helpful! Thanks!
Great helpful vid guys. Thank you. 🤙🏻
Hey guys you guys are working on the same exact bike I have, which is so cool. Also you forgot to mention you have to Rejet. I have these same pipes and they sound killer.
The picture made me watch this video, it looked like he was proposing!

Haha nice! It's my first bike. 99 V Star 650 classic in Cream and Forest green ; )
I love it! R u going to put LED lights?
Can u please answer? I installed v and h slip ons to my v star 1100 , It sounds good. Only thing is now I'm getting smoke at both top head exhaust. Could it be a gasket issue? I didn't even see a gasket on either pipe when I took them off.
I just installed these pipes and after a few rides I had what seemed like a small leak at the lower slip joint. I took it off and put rtv on the joint and it seems better. Now I'm noticing a little puff of condensation just rear of the joint on the part of the bike which runs right next to the pipe.
It's cold here and the spot seems to go away after the pipes warm up. Any suggestions?
If I have a 2004 yamaha v star classic 650 and put on V&H Cruzers would I need to rejet the engine
Next time, tell us the wrench sizes as you use them. We watch these videos for that information.
