When you see the inside of an exhaust muffer you will immediately notice that such simple machanism and minimal parts s of a muffer don't worth its insanely expensive price tag.
Great clip. The only thing I'd add is that I wouldn't be using sellotape inside the can. It'll burn out very quickly and leave the wool loose which in turn will lead to premature failure. Consider lockwire as an alternative?

I use stainless steel washing-up scourers not the wool ones but the heavy reusable ones, they're always available locally they cost next to nothing and they work well I buy packs of three and will generally use seven or eight they open up like a donut and you slip them around the baffle pipe My muffler has a bolt in baffle and I change them each year I suggested it to a friend recently for his dirt bike with a similar riveted muffle and he didn't have a problem with it
@@Drt0Kkdo The very heavy very corse stainless steel ones without soap, you'll find you can open them up like a donut and fit them around the perpetrated pipe inside the muffler, I use about seven or eight of them lined up alone the perpetrated pipe, my muffle is a traditional "Dunstall" style with three small bolts that hold the baffle in from the back end of the muffler I suppose if your muffler didn't use a perpetrated pipe you might fill it with the same things but you could try stretching them out more so they weren't packed to tightly and I'd be changing them more often if that was the case So not the fine steel wool or stainless steel wool with or without soap that will usually come in a box of ten or fifteen but the very corse stainless steel ones that you'll usually find in a packet of two three or six at supermarkets Or at least you find them here in Australia at any supermarket Coincidently I was about to go home and repack my muffler today, it's that time of the year again and I've got it dismantled and polished up and ready to reassemble with new ones waiting to put back in it when I get there

Did you see it has three holes at the front of the exhaust? I did mine yesterday an air was coming out of those holes, do you know why those holes are there? An it's purpose?

The tape is only for insertion.

This type of fiber is not aggressive towards the hands.
Of course gloves and goggles must be worn.
And use Aluminium rivets, not stainless! they will rip your aluminium/titanium "tube" when vibrating!
From experience: Aluminum rivets do not have a long service life.
