+Gianni Ludd then don't, no need for people like you anyways, I don't know why the hell some people complain, for four years you will get housing, some sort of food pay, free traveling (with work of course), the GI Bill (have you seen the price of college), usually a transferable job into the civilian world, and if you're smart enough to ask for a sign up bonus (mine is about 10k). Anyways, there should be no fucking complaining, they give you your whole future for free!
Sloth TheGammer what does that matter ? When all is said and done I'm offering my damn life over for all of that , when really it isn't free , they take fees , from what I hear the free food is shit , I can't have those medical benefits used when I WANT THEM USED not if where I am assigned will not allow for me to do so . Maybe cause you actually need to go to college to join a league, something you work for. No not just take an easy test or finish high School lol There s no talent it's literally they tell you what to do and you do it that's how u get paid.
Why do Asian people sound so much better and much much MUCH more trustworthy with numbers? It just seems to me that what ever they say, you can not be wrong.
It's cultural and genetic. Compared to the rest of the world, Asians have strong close family units and centuries of discipline and respect for authority. Asians work very hard and very smart. Corea is a good example. South Corea has the highest average IQ in the world and the world's number one school system. Therefore, it's not surprising that such a small country as South Corea is the world's 11th largest economy and 6th largest exporter. Amazing!
It's not genetic at all, if you were an asian toddler you'd be forced to learn no matter what, take it from me, my childhood was just reading a fucking math textbook
I think the reason Y they make u pay 4 stuff at 1st is another form of discipline bkuz alot of young people had their parents buy them stuff all the time. It gets u used to the idea of managing ur own $$. After E3 pay doesn't sound bad and he didn't mention the sign on bonus or the many benefits that come along with joining. It beats having to worry about getting fired, health care or rent, I know that.
QC LuvzU! Its really bad salary only people with no options join their many jobs pay over $1000 a week no high school needed and you still have time to go college and workout it’s called self dicipline you don’t need a uniform
When I joined the Army, an E1 got $68 per MONTH. E2 got around $74 per MONTH, and an E3 got $97.37 per MONTH. E4 went to around $122 and E5 was about $160 I seem to remember. BUT food, barracks, medical, uniforms were all paid for by the Army. You had to pay for shoe polish and personal items and your own haircuts. When I got out, I was an E5 over 4 (years of service) and base pay then was $250. That's how it was back in 1960-1966... big changes since then! ;-)
Richard King that’s a lie not everybody that joins the military is broke .my dad is a cop and my mom is in the medical field and I chose to join because it would be a different route
I don't know about Navy bootcamp but in the Marine Corps bootcamp they hooked us up with a bank account and it came with a ATM card. we get a uniform allowance for uniforms and food allowance for food. the recruits are responsible for buying supplies such as cleaning supplies to clean the squad by and their uniforms plus toiletries and personal hygiene stuff.
+videoconcierge they didnt charge us when entering the military, but if you leave the military you have to turn in almost all your issued uniforms. However, they do give you a clothing allowance for clothing per year for active duty
It depends on many factors, she could've been even charged on her last check leaving the military without her noticing, happen to me when i left to my new unit when i thought i turned everything in. It can also be when she left they were switching to a new uniform pattern which usually takes 2-3 years to transition to, so they wouldn't bother taking the old pattern back. Depends what branch or if you're full time, which im not anymore, what specific branch your mom was in?
we also had one soldier owing 5 grand in gear cause he went AWOL and never showed up till he noticed the bill, so he then finally came in to arrange his contract in which he got the boot.
My first check post navy boot camp when I graduated in September 2003 was for 344.00 dollars. I remember going to PSD and was asking for a recount. I made more money than that working as a cashier at Best Buy while I was a senior in high school before joining. I didn't start seeing 500 dollar checks until about two years later.
As a firefighter I make 34K a year base pay, get a uniform allowance, Christmas bonus, 270 vacation hours a year, 144 sick hours a year. With OT I make 45K, and that's first year. Also get state retirement after 25 years and don't have to pay social security taxes. I am happy I joined a Fire Dept and not the military.
Hey man! Thanks for the heads up. Extremely professional and simple way of explaining some complex material. Some people make the world a way better place for others, and don't assume that this kind of thing is "below them". Thanks for saving our pride bro, you are excellent. I hope the Navy is treating you well man. Fair Seas! HOOYAH!
I'm 34 and I'm going in the army with an associate's degree, 2 yrs of ROTC in high school( plus more credits from schools where I didn't finish). I'm excited but really scared!!!
I'm 31 considering national guard. I work as firefighter gull time. I'm sure I'll be the older guy in boot camp if I go. How did it feel being in your 30s with a bunch of kids
In 1971 I got paid for 2 months pay after about wks. of boot camp. I had never gad more than $50 in my pocket or been more than 50 miles from home up until then.
I got sent home from boot camp early. I only got one monthly check and it was a pathetic $487 for the entire month. He right they make you pay everything. funny thing is when I left I had to give it back but never got money back.
when you go to boot camp it costs them money to feed, clothes, and shelter you. Since they also have to pay you they charge you for those things so basically you make little to no money
this completely changed my plan to join the military you'd think with the 600 billion dollars America spends on the military they'd at least give you everything you'd need for putting your life on the line for your country regardless of the job in the military
Dat Weeb don’t let this change your mind. The pride you get from graduating alone pays for it all. I went to Marine Corps boot camp , and the sense of pride over shadows waking up to a direct deposit of $600 lol
I like your videos. My son left for boot camp yesterday and I've had him listen to some of these they can help him a lot they're helping us too thank you
I make nearly this much working at a grocery stire, plus they give me uniforms and I work less than 30 hours a week. They treat the military pretty shitty.
Roy's Landscaping & Lawncare but.... do you get free medical care as well as free room and board ? I'm about to enlist and my last job pays WAAAYYY more than I would in the military, but I had no medical , haven't been to the dentist in years and can't afford glasses. Also , living with family . Joining id get my own place , probably a military discount in my phone bill, and a bunch of shit I never had . Plus when I get out I can afford to go to college which was never an option for me before . So yeah ...
I was regular then reserve Army in the sixties. We were not charged anything except fot px haircuts. We recieved monthly uniform maintenance around $8. A E3 then recieved $74 monthly plus additional ad ons as overseas, hazardous duty pay. Once you finished basic your promoted to e2 from e1. At six months and not in any training school you were promoted to E3. From then on promotions were determined by the rank going with the slot and time required to get promoted. Usually when you reached E6 you were sent to the NCO academys. Back then specialist ranks did not carry much of any athority other than what went with your job slot. Regular sergeants usually held slots of authority such as squad leaders or department heads etc.
I remember a bunch of guys (mostly E-2 ) getting in the best working car and driving to Barbers Point Naval Air Station (NAS). We would go the Disbursing Office, and collect our massive $491.00 cash payment for our months work aboard Guard Company Pearl Harbor, West Loch Detatchment.. Then get ice cream. Then go to the Commissary and get the cheapest steaks, then get some Popov vodca in the plastic bottle. Drive back to the barracks and let loose
Thanks for all the helpful Info. Side note: you may want to consider editing these videos to cut out the silent moments where you are thinking about what to say, it will help the video flow better.
Your so correct, they charge for everything, it has always been that way... so when you get out of BMT, your pay will be alot more, since you have everything.. Doug
Well things have changed, I joined the USMC in 1958, my Ei pay was $89.00 a month, then went to Okinawa a year later pay was $129.00 a month which was $ 4.30 a day or .18 cents an hour. Thanks for your service, my son spent 13 years in Army before medical retirement .
Keith Ten Eyck We also have the highest GDP, by far. Our government can pay us significantly better, but the truth is that too much money is spent on foreign conflicts and pocketed by corporate boards rather than soldier pay.
Looking back now at my boot camp experience and pay, I am thankful I didn't become a lifer. Fuck that, I make a hellavuh lot more outside of the military than in it and wasted a lot more while I was in on stupid pointless things my unit wanted us to get.
+Scaggs24 Then you wouldn't mind if they didn't give you a paycheck at all? It's too bad you don't have the ability to be a service member and care for your finances at the same time.
+Jose Delgado I don't care about pay i nevwr had money when i grew up so why care for it now. You're there to serve because you love your country not to get a free ride to school or brag about money if that's the case apply to a college and work till you graduate. I'm going to serve and protect I'm not going for a paycheck that I can get in civilian life.
When your on deployment your family don't pay for shipping if they want to send you something. You just ask the worker your sending this to 'name' and he's/she's is deployed right now in 'place' and they will ship it for free
Military enlisted members starting out get paid low. And most going in as enlisted are 18-25. BUT, shelter, electric and gas bills, food, medical and dental care are paid for. Plus almost free education and 30 days paid vacation a year. Even if you have benefits with a professional job on the outside, a big chunk of your paycheck is going to them. You have E5’s and E6’s with single earner families nowadays owning nice new homes and cars, whereas in my day they could afford a nice apartment or older run down small home in a lower middle class neighborhood if they lived within their means. As for officers, an 01 right out of OTS or the Academy makes about as much as an E6 and all the same benefits, except they don’t live in dorms with food and shelter paid for. I think it’s best to live as a civilian at least a year or two after you get out or retire to make your own conclusions. For institutionalized folks like myself that made it a career, the federal service is your best bet.
fuck thats shit. In the Australian Army you get out with around 11,000 and you don't have to pay for your uniforms, just some little stuff. Fuck we have it good.
+Justin MacLennan You can't compare the two. Australia has about 55,000 service men vs. the US with 1.3 million Its imposible to give that kind of payout to so many people
Being single kinda sucks in the military. Coming as a E1 not married your making like 750 every 2 weeks after taxes if that... but if you think about it.. your housing & food is paid for... you get the best insurance/benefits... so you get to POCKET your entire check... yet a civilian who makes 2000/month .. probably has to pay 700-800 for a small apartment plus 200 in utilities maybe 300 in food and your only left with 800$$... which is 200/ a week... not including gas... car payment/ insurance.. phone bill etc... so technically since you make less you still come out on top because the biggest expenses are taken care of... so from a civilians point of view.. you 1500$ AFTER BILLS in the army .. which money you do what you want with ... which is actually pretty good to me..
I got paid a lot. Didn't have a checking account, so it was all cash. I stuck a $100 bill in my service dress coat jacket, and forgot about it. Ten years later, I found it. Pretty sweet!
hey I said I've been preparing to go in, as in getting my body in shape prior to going in, establishing a stable financial position for myself so that when I go in I don't have to worry about any accumulating debt. I'm doing it the way that nobody else has probably even thought of. I'll be in the U.S Army before June 6th of 2016.
I will be able to do 50 pushups in 2 minutes and 50 sit ups that are consecutive to those push ups in 3 mintes giving me a total 5 minute time of an intense workout with a 45 second intermission. It's called practice and 1 thing I know about the Army so far is that you want to make an Impression. Especially what I want to do which is my selected MOS. 11 Alpha, Infantry Officer. I'll be able to lead my own squad and when I rank up in that position I'll eventually be able to handle my own battalion.
I'm giving my self time to not only get physically in shape but to quit smoking weed and cigerettes. Weed is the easy part but Quitting tobacco will allow me to prove to myself that I can do anything. I'm 23, I've got 12 years under my belt of tobacco use. When I can put that addiction to rest I will have proven to myself that I am worthy to serve in the U.S Army and that anything they throw at me I'll be able to take.
Everybody tell's me I'm a leader, and if that's true then It'll show when I join the U.S Army Infantry. I'm also studying for the ASVAB and smoking Marijuana help's me study for it because I can concentrate for a longer period of time.
i dont know who told you that you get paid under a e-1 at basic but that isnt true. everyone gets paid e-1 while there in basic it doesnt matter if there an e-2 or e-3. after basic they will start getting paid there full pay grade and for the time in basic they where getting paid as a e-1 they get a back pay on the differants of paygrades. so if you come in as a e-1 pass the exam the whole time there you will get e-2 pay when you graduate but if you get a promotion at the end of basic you will only get what your paygrade was at the beginning of basic was. the only reason why i know this cause i talked to my rdc's and nmti at a school cause i saw i had 3 grand in my account and was from the 2 months of basic and the back pay i got too.
MsRevvy i don't know what u r talking about. I went to navy boot camp and i was getting my e3 pay before i graduated and i got to wrar my e3 patch on my uniform during graduation.
you must be stationed on the Seabee base in Gulfport. I from South Mississippi and it can get boring down here but you're only an hour and 30 mins away from New Orleans
I'll let you know my experience in boot camp this video did help I'm waiting to get shipped to boot camp and that was some good information too know . I don't got money in my family so this video prepared me for what I should expect thank you
I think I got lucky in a sorta way because my brother is my recruiter but anyway, he doesn´t really tell me all these things. Thank you for the tips based on your experience Yoon Kim. They were quite helpful.
When I graduated Marine Corps bootcamp as an E-1, I got a little more than $1,600. 3 months of hell, for $17.58 a day. My recruiter didn't disclose that. But, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.
Air force e1 you come out with around 700$ (1100$-400$ for clothings and other things you get like school shit. Anything from this 400 u don't spend u get rolled over to ur card eventually) e3 my friend had 850$ commimg out
You get better benefits with military than standing in a suit. Military pays for lots of your benefits, such as housing , BAH , COLA, etc the real money is made in deployments ! I made $ 4,000on top of my pay as an E-4 on my first deployment .
That's the same exact thing I was thinking. I have bills to pay here at home so I don't know what it's going to be like for me when I'm off at boot camp
I worry too much about my son! He was raised in the Philippines & probably wasn't told about these kind of things... He's by himself no family would be able to attend to his graduation & his needs... I live in the Philippines & dunno how to help him, I miss him so bad... He's on his 1st wk now for BMT. 😭😢😔😞
To the best of my knowledge no. Military benefits effect you, spouse and dependents. I have heard from a friend of mine that he got his mother treated from the military. So there may be some medical discounts for parents. I do not know to what extent.

Hello Yoon, Thanks for the helpful videos! I am currently looking into getting into the Navy. (Maybe I should ask a recruiter) My current concerns are: If I can get into the Navy with one felony and I currently have a car loan and auto insurance. Does what I get paid in boot camp go into my account? Thanks,
+James Lopez Do yourself a favor kid, and get a good lawyer to help you with your contract. Believe me, you won't regret it. In dealing with the govt in any way, as with any big business, if it ain't written down, you are gonna get screwed. Recruiters love the ignorant.
***** Look everyone commenting on my comment. All i was asking is what he said cause i couldnt understand him. And hes talking about the Navy. Shits different in the Navy rather than the Marine Corps. Fuck
+xiLiberty In the Marines you get promoted by time in service, time in grade from PVT to LCPL. Once you get LCPL, to become CPL and SGT,you have to meet the cutting score which includes PFT, MCI Classes completed, and your rifle range score. SGT and above you have to complete a B Billet and be selected for SNCO
My daughter is in boot camp right now in Great Lakes, IL. She is graduating on June 24, 2016. She telling me she is going to need her car after graduation to attend A school. Do you know if this is true?
omg this guy got it all figured out I wasn't ready he's literally floating on a budget power to you brother
Rediculous when ur offering ur life everything should be free

never knew there were payments to become a recruit. agh thanks
Military needs to pay more. Dumb athletes make 6 figures but our military members are lucky to make 80k
hmmm
Ad Nieuwdorp you obviously didn’t understand what i said lol
JTundra the military should hire a better merch manager.
80k lol that’s funny as an e5 in combat made less than 900 every 2 weeks

terry waller yeah you do they charged my 640
Caleb Corbin you don’t pay anything in basic they give it to you. That’s what my recruiter said.
It depends on the branch, the air force u pay, the army does not.

Thanks for the heads up. always like to be prepared.

A lot of people after the Navy go straight to being a firefighter. Maybe i will.
a lot of big city depts have private retirement and still offer 20 year instead of 25.
How did you become a firefighter

I would hope you at least go in as an officer versus enlisted.
nope u need a bachelor minimum for that
I'm in rotc nd hate it 😂
Can't be scared or will look like a wimpy dimpy
I'm 31 considering national guard. I work as firefighter gull time. I'm sure I'll be the older guy in boot camp if I go. How did it feel being in your 30s with a bunch of kids
Thank you for both your service, & the vid!
You got it Jazbo!
In 1971 I got paid for 2 months pay after about wks. of boot camp. I had never gad more than $50 in my pocket or been more than 50 miles from home up until then.
$666, not on my Christian app
Loopyyeti lol idk this is so funny
I got sent home from boot camp early. I only got one monthly check and it was a pathetic $487 for the entire month. He right they make you pay everything. funny thing is when I left I had to give it back but never got money back.
that's funny lol. they aren't actually paying you because you're giving the money right back to them..
wolfVital can you explain?
when you go to boot camp it costs them money to feed, clothes, and shelter you. Since they also have to pay you they charge you for those things so basically you make little to no money
Rome Dep gotcha!
And, That's during Boot Camp, or after?
@@Feber2001 during
this completely changed my plan to join the military you'd think with the 600 billion dollars America spends on the military they'd at least give you everything you'd need for putting your life on the line for your country regardless of the job in the military

So yeah ...

The Navy would probably be the best branch. It's the least physically demanding Branch.
TheStoryOfMyLife I feel you. I was making 1k a week outside yet shit wasn't getting done. People like to complain about everything.
Grammar Fuhrer unless you're in SF
And that's why in many ways the Reserves is better😒. But if you're young with nothing to your name its a positive whether or not you are taking loses
Regular sergeants usually held slots of authority such as squad leaders or department heads etc.
basically, if the Navy offers to pay for it, let them. while you save.
yup

I am talking to my recruiter on monday, I hope it all goes good. Appreciate the video because I plan on attending A-school
Fuck that pussy shit

Well things have changed, I joined the USMC in 1958, my Ei pay was $89.00 a month, then went to Okinawa a year later pay was $129.00 a month which was $ 4.30 a day or .18 cents an hour.
Thanks for your service, my son spent 13 years in Army before medical retirement .
Thank you for your service Mr Scruggs.
Thank you for your service. When I enlisted in '89, I was paid roughly $300/month...inflation...
Stephen Ziegler haha
The US military pay is so bad!! As a Canadian, in my boot camp, I graduated with $4500+, within 6 weeks!
woah
What is right
Apples to oranges, really. With the comparative budgets, how many active personnel, branches, reserve count.
USA is #1, Canada is #20.
Keith Ten Eyck We also have the highest GDP, by far. Our government can pay us significantly better, but the truth is that too much money is spent on foreign conflicts and pocketed by corporate boards rather than soldier pay.
Canada's GDP is NOT the highest by far. Not sure where you're getting your info from.
Looking back now at my boot camp experience and pay, I am thankful I didn't become a lifer. Fuck that, I make a hellavuh lot more outside of the military than in it and wasted a lot more while I was in on stupid pointless things my unit wanted us to get.
How does this only have 1K likes this video is so informative about how it's going to be financially
I leave for boot camp and this was a big eye opener 😳
very useful i like that you ask around and find out how it is with other ranks
I wanna serve and don't care about the pay
Boy you're a sucker
bull shit...
+Walter Sobchak lol
+Scaggs24 Then you wouldn't mind if they didn't give you a paycheck at all? It's too bad you don't have the ability to be a service member and care for your finances at the same time.
+Jose Delgado I don't care about pay i nevwr had money when i grew up so why care for it now. You're there to serve because you love your country not to get a free ride to school or brag about money if that's the case apply to a college and work till you graduate. I'm going to serve and protect I'm not going for a paycheck that I can get in civilian life.
Thank you, and thanks for the heads up
Any time!
They give you that amount of money because they give you food and a "place" to sleep
Anthony Topasna but it depends if you live in the barracks. Get free food living in the bases
LuckIVLuckii I heard from other marines that chow hall automatically takes 300 out of your paycheck for the month.
Baja warrior They deduct that out of your paycheck without you knowing and that's why it looks like it's free.
I am glad someone did the break down of this.
thanks this video helps i just got out of MCRD San Diego soon i will be going to Armor school to become a tanker.
How it go

When your on deployment your family don't pay for shipping if they want to send you something. You just ask the worker your sending this to 'name' and he's/she's is deployed right now in 'place' and they will ship it for free
interesting.
JustYoon yea that's what I said too. Found it out on the USPS website
Yea it's prolly not best to think bout money when joining but I have a family that has to survive someway
money after oot camp is better )
wow, this video was very informative, glad you made it.
thank you
fuck thats shit. In the Australian Army you get out with around 11,000 and you don't have to pay for your uniforms, just some little stuff. Fuck we have it good.
+Justin MacLennan get out of bootcamp with 11,000 or out of the military in general with 11,000?
sorry, out of Basic Trainning
+Justin MacLennan You can't compare the two. Australia has about 55,000 service men vs. the US with 1.3 million
Its imposible to give that kind of payout to so many people
Yeah I guess your right
does the Australian military enlist americans?
I joined the Navy in 1988.. I don't remember them charging me for my uniforms.... When did the start?
Not a clue sir, but its happening now. Thank you for your service.
I got paid a lot. Didn't have a checking account, so it was all cash. I stuck a $100 bill in my service dress coat jacket, and forgot about it. Ten years later, I found it. Pretty sweet!
Thank you for making this JustYoon I found this very helpful
you got it!
Wow, I didn't realize it cost money to join. Good video, thanks for the information.
im preparing to go in, thanks for the video!
+Racheal Cortez You're preparing to go in but you have a video of yourself ripping a bong from a month ago? Uh Oh.
hey I said I've been preparing to go in, as in getting my body in shape prior to going in, establishing a stable financial position for myself so that when I go in I don't have to worry about any accumulating debt.
Thank you for being straight to the point
You got it!
i do JROTC so I'll be graduating as a e2
I'll be graduating as an e3
Congrats your making a couple hundred bucks extra. Want a cookie there chip
+Andrew Giff chill out, I was just saying.
im getting out as an e3 aswell. Im a Airman in Sea Cadets
richard martinez I'm in the sea cadets and there is no rank/rate called "airman" my dude
To that’s some important shit to know!! Love it thank you
i dont know who told you that you get paid under a e-1 at basic but that isnt true. everyone gets paid e-1 while there in basic it doesnt matter if there an e-2 or e-3. after basic they will start getting paid there full pay grade and for the time in basic they where getting paid as a e-1 they get a back pay on the differants of paygrades. so if you come in as a e-1 pass the exam the whole time there you will get e-2 pay when you graduate but if you get a promotion at the end of basic you will only get what your paygrade was at the beginning of basic was. the only reason why i know this cause i talked to my rdc's and nmti at a school cause i saw i had 3 grand in my account and was from the 2 months of basic and the back pay i got too.
MsRevvy i don't know what u r talking about. I went to navy boot camp and i was getting my e3 pay before i graduated and i got to wrar my e3 patch on my uniform during graduation.
No wonder a lot of businesses offer military discounts, they know money is tight!
Hey Great Video. I went into the Air Force in 1970 and they didn't charge me for a thing!
thank you for your service!
you must be stationed on the Seabee base in Gulfport. I from South Mississippi and it can get boring down here but you're only an hour and 30 mins away from New Orleans
If your going to the military prepared to not like your life for a while
High Conscious depends on the person
You're*. You should go for the schooling.
They were quite helpful.
are the numbers including the deductions?
Yes, that was my take home pay.
Cool, thanks
I had always thought things were issued and service members weren't forced to foot the bill. Sad state of affairs.
Paying for the military issues?! That's fuckin ridiculous! This needs to be changed immediately! Cut politicians pays to pay for this shit.
When I graduated Marine Corps bootcamp as an E-1, I got a little more than $1,600. 3 months of hell, for $17.58 a day. My recruiter didn't disclose that. But, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.
Why?
So u basically saying stay at my warehouse job that started me off at 13 an hour ? With room to grow to 21 an hour withen the first year ?
I just started the enlistment process for the coast guard and this video alone got me rethinking my whole life. This is absolutely fucking nuts.
what are these E1 E2 and E3's
they are your Pay Grade within the ranks
oh ok thanks man
Air force e1 you come out with around 700$ (1100$-400$ for clothings and other things you get like school shit. Anything from this 400 u don't spend u get rolled over to ur card eventually) e3 my friend had 850$ commimg out
So ima work hard as hell to make the same amount of money I make just standing in a suit
oct john 😹
You get better benefits with military than standing in a suit. Military pays for lots of your benefits, such as housing , BAH , COLA, etc the real money is made in deployments ! I made $ 4,000on top of my pay as an E-4 on my first deployment .
What if you don't personally as an 18 year old don't have enough money to pay for all this stuff you need at basic? Parents pay for it?
The money you make in boot camp pays for your stuff. Hence the 666 payment.
That's the same exact thing I was thinking. I have bills to pay here at home so I don't know what it's going to be like for me when I'm off at boot camp
You make more at McDonald's working 40 hrs a week 😂
It was never about the money, that’s who we really need
I worry too much about my son! He was raised in the Philippines & probably wasn't told about these kind of things... He's by himself no family would be able to attend to his graduation & his needs... I live in the Philippines & dunno how to help him, I miss him so bad... He's on his 1st wk now for BMT. 😭😢😔😞
Quick Question if you have a family and you join the navy do they help you in anyway my foster parents have told me i would be good for the navy
To the best of my knowledge no. Military benefits effect you, spouse and dependents. I have heard from a friend of mine that he got his mother treated from the military. So there may be some medical discounts for parents. I do not know to what extent.
God Bless you. You are a good young men. I'm Glad that you are a good son. to your parents.
cmon its boot camp should be happy that they are actually paying you

Hello Yoon,
Thanks for the helpful videos!
I am currently looking into getting into the Navy. (Maybe I should ask a recruiter) My current concerns are: If I can get into the Navy with one felony and I currently have a car loan and auto insurance. Does what I get paid in boot camp go into my account?
Thanks,
+James Lopez Felony and car loan wise check with your recruiter. Yes, money you get in boot camp is paid into your account.
+James Lopez Do yourself a favor kid, and get a good lawyer to help you with your contract. Believe me, you won't regret it. In dealing with the govt in any way, as with any big business, if it ain't written down, you are gonna get screwed. Recruiters love the ignorant.
You're very smart, thank you for the advice!
What was the test you mentioned in the beginning that if you pass you get a promotion?
+Steven Perry DEP Test.
