I love that they're setting up little stories with these Splatfest songs. Hopefully it culminates with all the idols getting together for one big collab in a future splatfest (Squid Sisters v Off the Hook v Deep Cut?).
@@queenofawesome2550 I was going to say last Splatfest, but then I thought to myself. Do I really just want a battle of the idol groups Splatfest as the finale? When Splatoon 2 went out with an epic bang with Chaos Vs. Order? I feel like a more epic conclusion could be had...
I feel like we should remember the fact that Big Man both wrote the lyrics and made the composition for the song we're listening to rn I'm willing to bet that they already sorted things out with eachother behind the scenes and this song is just them playing up the concept for lols and song inspiration I don't feel like they'd genuinely be this mean to Big Man

@@andrewpetrousky7793therefore they beat him up shown as the bandage on big man. Shiver even says “You wanted a collab? well, I want cold, hard cash! Next time we get a piece, capisce?” meaning they want a piece of the cash if big man collabs with someone else (which is exactly what you said) I don’t see how this is so hard for people to understand
This song shows each member's poison. Frye is really mad at Big Man for the supposed "betrayal" (Anger), Shiver mentions she wants to profit from future collabs (Greed) and Big Man was ignorant in his decision with a dream of harmony (Ignorance).
according to splatoon JP's twitter, he wrote the song cus he got enough enjoyment from the experience, roughly translated to "it was scary, but they were so cool," of who "they" are wasnt stated but its all just fun and games to them in the end! think of it like any other slapstick scene in, say, pokemon's team rocket for example.
I love how Frye is yelling from the start and expresses her genuine anger at being underestimated while Shiver is more passive agressive!!! SHAME ON YOU BIG MAN FOR NOT TELLING YOUR BANDMATES RAHHH!!! COMMUNICATION IS THE FIRST GOOD QUALITY OF A LEADER!!! Team frye btw!! She’s the best i love her so much
@mikewirth1709 In my opinion, because Big Man never really gets the opportunity with other people, he should be allowed to have just 2 more friends. And I personally think Big Man is a better leader. The only problem with Big Man is that he doesn't handle conflict well. As Shiver and Frye may be able to, they're kinda self absorbed.
Seeing so many people say that you should vote for Big Man because he is willing to collaborate with others, makes me realize that not many understood the song, the song is about how Big Man betrayed Shiver and Frye for not telling them he was going to collaborate with the Squid Sisters, and betraying your own group by collaborating with a rival band without telling them anything is not a good aspect of a Capable leader. (but honestly no one in Deep cut would be a good leader, that's the fun part Ps: sorry for the english, not my first language)
I really feel like people are being dramatic with the term betraying. All he did was do one song with squid sisters, it's not like he completely ditched deep cut and joined squid sisters. Also he already is a leader of his own clan btw.
They use the word treason when it has nothing to do with it. They see it as a betrayal because THEY DID NOT MAKE A PROFIT, bigman collaborated for free and their group only sees money and fame. If you are with a group of people who only see things out of pure interest and someone else comes to ask you in a friendly way for a friendly collaboration, is it ok to let your group take advantage of you and the situation because that's all they see? Since the beginning Shiver and Frye have been misbehaving with him, and it's not since now, it's since the beginning when they told him he was just the mascot. They say betrayal betrayal, but they don't see the whole picture that has been going on since the beginning.
@@TiredLexNa, I'm sure he betrayed them, and if he did, what's the matter? Big Man is a member of Deep Cut, I'm sure they've done worse. BIG MAN THE GOAT✊✊✊

I was a bit hesitant on this trio at first and thought they wouldn’t compare to the other 2 idol groups, but their chaotic antics are slowly making them one of my favourite idol groups, second only to Callie and Marie.

To make it up to them (and bring in some money for Deep Cut to share this time), Big Man wrote a song about their behind the scenes scuffle and his "betrayal".
What we're hearing is mostly them playing it up for the camera, not genuine trust being lost.
A couple seconds in and I'm INTO IT. I wish this one was longer.
how long do you want it to be
it sounds like it loops, so it might be an actual song in the game soon. maybe for splatfests?
@@inkling8ball509 it will be!
@@inkling8ball509they confirmed it’ll play during the splatfest
@@inkling8ball509 it is so I don’t understand why they want it longer when it’s the normal length for a song…like the maximum time is 2:00 so it can’t be much longer.
0:30 I love how here you can hear the opening leitmotif to Calamari Inkantation, signaling what Big Man has done and with who (as if Shiver and Frye screaming there lungs out at him didn’t give it away lol). Music itself also does storytelling so you will also to able to tell why the song exists because of that mere snippet in game! Also since Big Man composes all the songs, I like to think he did that to spite our girls. 😂 GO TEAM FRYE!
Ok, I kinda hear the start of that heavenly Melody.
This new song is great, and I like how the idea of this song is more contextual based. It’s also really nice that Nintendo is giving us lyrics and translations. I bet they had fun doing this one
I love that they're setting up little stories with these Splatfest songs. Hopefully it culminates with all the idols getting together for one big collab in a future splatfest (Squid Sisters v Off the Hook v Deep Cut?).
That has to be the very last Splatfest.
@queenofawesome2550 it's not but it does fit vibe for a final fest
@@queenofawesome2550 I was going to say last Splatfest, but then I thought to myself. Do I really just want a battle of the idol groups Splatfest as the finale? When Splatoon 2 went out with an epic bang with Chaos Vs. Order? I feel like a more epic conclusion could be had...
Hoo boi this comment aged like fine wine
"Welcome home, cheater." the song.

It reminds me of classic vocoloid songs so much I LOVE IT.
SO TRUE
REAL
I feel like we should remember the fact that Big Man both wrote the lyrics and made the composition for the song we're listening to rn
I'm willing to bet that they already sorted things out with eachother behind the scenes and this song is just them playing up the concept for lols and song inspiration
I don't feel like they'd genuinely be this mean to Big Man
yup!! ive been talking about this with my friends all morning. this picture is probably staged too
But remember what Big Man says in his boss fight when you play against him after beating him "Id rather not fight but thr other two will yell at me" and he was fully willing to kill you, he isn't as innocent as he looks 😎

I gotta vote Big Man for leader. The guy is humble, doesn’t rely on certain sea creatures and values love over greed and pride. Plus he’s pacifist at heart and a really good pianist.
But he’s too shy to make the big decisions
@@ameliawillars true he is shy. but he did decide to make the decision of colabing with the squid sisters while the other two didn't.
The song is about Big Man going under the table to collab with another idol group and not giving his partners a cut lol
Just dont vote for Shiver, team Frye and Big man againts her!
@@andrewpetrousky7793therefore they beat him up shown as the bandage on big man. Shiver even says “You wanted a collab?
well, I want cold, hard cash!
Next time we get a piece, capisce?” meaning they want a piece of the cash if big man collabs with someone else (which is exactly what you said)
I don’t see how this is so hard for people to understand
This song shows each member's poison. Frye is really mad at Big Man for the supposed "betrayal" (Anger), Shiver mentions she wants to profit from future collabs (Greed) and Big Man was ignorant in his decision with a dream of harmony (Ignorance).

He deserved it. TEAM FRYE SPREAD THE MESSAGE
according to splatoon JP's twitter, he wrote the song cus he got enough enjoyment from the experience, roughly translated to "it was scary, but they were so cool," of who "they" are wasnt stated but

SHAME ON YOU BIG MAN FOR NOT TELLING YOUR BANDMATES RAHHH!!! COMMUNICATION IS THE FIRST GOOD QUALITY OF A LEADER!!! Team frye btw!! She’s the best i love her so much
the fact that they made it a song makes me think this was just playing it for the audience, and they're not actually mad
LEAVE THAT LITTLE... I mean. -BIG GUY ALONE YOU BAD FAN!!!!!!!!
Since Big Man literally composed both the music and lyrics, they're not actually mad at him lmao
I feel so bad for Big Man he just wanted some more friends😭😭
He is to soft and he already has bff, team frye is more better, feel free to correct me (not my team aka frye)
THISSS!!!
FACTS

Not only is this song a banger, but I love how it shows the relationship between these 3 even more. I was a bit hesitant on this trio at first and thought they wouldn’t compare to the other 2 idol groups, but their chaotic antics are slowly making them one of my favourite idol groups, second only to Callie and Marie.

This song is really good! I can’t wait to hear it in the Splatfest! Still not sure what team to pick though!
Shiver obviously. You gotta pick the cool team everytime
I suggest team Frye, shiver in the game wouldn’t make a good leader as she wants power and money despite already being in a wealthy clan,
Big man doesn’t seem like a good leader as he wouldn’t stand up for himself and if there were any hate about him being the leader his poor heart would shatter completely
Frye tho would be a good leader, in the story she offered to split the treasure with neo agent 3, she’s taken over the massive cube thingy which wouldn’t have been easy, and in the deep cut intro in the story, she introduced the whole team and was standing more infront which shows she has a lot of confidence which is good traits for a leader

Love how this song probably was composed before the end of the Hero Mode.
Not really, because i think they didn't know that agent 1 and 2 were the squid sisters in the main story
Or they don't realize that Callie and Marie are their bosses 🤣
in the hero mode there was nothing there that said big man met the squid sisters before and the song being talked about in this video came out after the launch of the game meaning big man probably collabed with the squid sisters after hero mode
@@Esokipin At the ending cutscene during the epilogue broadcast they actually did realize that Agents 1 and 2 were the Squid Sisters if I recall.

Well "Welcome home, cheater" has completely different context now.
Deep Cut is getting better and better. This is really awesome!
I love the idea of this being a staged thing, and just an exaggerated version of what happened when the other two found out about Liquid Sunshine. I think they’re genuinely proud of him otherwise! :D
Bruh, they DEFINITELY beat him up and made him produce his own diss track
