When the Inkopolis DLC was released, I remember thinking how nice it would be if they added Squid Sister music during splatfest battles but I always thought that was just wishful thinking. Now that it’s actually been added I’m surprised but really glad, plus I think the addition of Big Man really great!

BIG MAN SOUNDS SO GOOD, it’s seriously a dream come true for him. Been listening to this on repeat for a bit and seeing the Inkling lyrics acknowledged outside of the album and not on the Japanese channel only is WILD! It’s about time! (Nintendo UK didn’t include them)

I like the clues they give you in this so you can piece together that the collaborator is Big Man. "Ian BGM" is an anagram of "BIG Man", and the lyrics that show up when he sings are grey and often have "(Ay!)" at the end of them.
And the voice sounds like big man too, that's how I had the suspicion before reading the comments

Funny thing is that these lyrics is LITERALLY what all VAs for Splatoon have to go through, just read out gibbesrish in how the think it sounds, but ofc, accent helps a lot! So that's why certain characters' VAs look like them irl!
"Think it sounds" the pronunciation is based off japanese, so there is already a pre-established pronunciation system.

I love how Big Man has this alias as Ian BGM. It makes me think more into his character and the lore of the game around him. Like, why did he choose to go by Ian BGM for this song? Why was he in this song? (Not asking in a bad way, but it was pretty unexpected for them all to team up for this), etc.
