More to my question is there anything significant I should know about when they break down like what breaks down first? Please I do understand most e-bikes so anything you can tell me would definitely help when it comes to a scooter obviously I know that usually it's the grips that are hindering the breaking and throttle is there anything else that generally goes wrong with these?

It is illegal but they are probably already lost. Police won't go finding a single scooter right?
the scooters are already illegal, so it's less illegal if it's double illegal
You got companies out there that are like towing companies but all they do is impound scooters from private lots that are illegally parked. Those scooters are placed in the storage unit until bird pays the impound fee if bird don't pay the impound fee within 30 days the scooter then belongs to leave impound company. Some way somehow they're able to place a lien on the scooters once they are picked up

Use to be a Bird charger and mechanic for awhile and i learned a lot by tinkering around. I bought several batteries back from the dead (they were just under 3 volts) by connecting the positive and negative leads from another fully charged battery for about one minute which temporarily would bring up the voltage in the battery. Then as soon as I disconnected the good battery I plugged in the charger and now it started charging the low battery since I brought up the minimum voltage to an acceptable level for the charger.
Very interesting. What was the bms board doing before you linked a second battery?
Nothing. No light flashing at all. I'm guessing once the battery gets low the Bird brain continues to further drain the battery then the brain has a backup battery and even those drain dead. Sometimes I was able to bring a dead brain back to life. I'm here in LA and for the past year Bird and Lime and barely on the streets. Not sure how they continue to remain in business.

Do you have any idea how to revive a Segway-Ninebot ES2/4 battery?
In theory I suppose the same way but I hardly ever worked on those since the battery is tightly fit in the pole. At one point I had 4 of the M365 but I ended up selling all of them and I kind of wish that I had kept one. $400-$500 for a new isn't going to happen. Too bad I don't live closer to you and I might buy one :) I have a huge box full of parts, tires, tubes, etc which I'm going to hang onto.
Also if you ever have a dead battery if any kind especially car batteries new chargers these days won't charge a battery that is below a certain voltage so thats that I fo except I hook charger to good battery t then hook the bad battery to the golf battery and the charger will get the bad battery up to vtage to where you can charge it by it's self with out using another battery and it will charge like normal. Also if you have a personal bird type scooter don't charge it until it gets very very low if it is only half battery to 3)4 everytime you plug it in the battery had a memory and will die at only half a battery like a lipo battery had a memory on a rc car same principal

Yes, you will have to change the handle bars though. You can order an Xiaomi M365 handle bar complete that will work.

No number. Go on eBay or AliExpress and search M365 dashboard with cover or M365 Pro Dashboard with cover. You will find it cheaper on AliExpress but the shipping takes much longer. Let me know if you have any problem.

It's on the board situated in the headset. 15.99 part on eBay can sort this out. Download the xaiomi app and you can downgrade the os and viola your done
How do you make those refurbished Bird scooters foldable? The ones I’m seeing are saying they are not foldable.
You can buy a foldable adapter on eBay for about $35

You can find the attachment on Ebay. It's under $40. The strength of the neck will become greatly reduced. Handy conversion though.

Just google M365 dashboard. You’ll want the one that has 4 lights across the board. You can search the same thing on EBay or AliExpress. AliExpress is the cheapest. Just takes longer to get it. You are talking about the dash, correct?

Make sure the dash that you buy comes with the plastic dash cover. They are not always included. Let me know if you have any problems I’ll be glad to assist however I can.

Tire irons, a heat gun, and soap are your best friend when changing tires. It’s still not fun.

I have switched out the circuit board and battery and still have no power. Battery is good and will charge, but the circuit board won't turn on. Any thoughts?

@@jamildaceo5261 , if you have this same model, there is a charging port on the deck plate of the scooter. You will need at minimum a 2 amp charger with the same connection. You can find chargers on eBay or AliExpress.
@@jamildaceo5261 depends on the model... new bird 2 cant be converted yet....but relatively easy to strip 18650 cell pack its 21ah 36v....made with lg mj1 cells. GL.

Lyft pulled out of Nashville. They sold all of their Nashville scooters.
So since bird pulled out of nashville it was a free for all
lmao you got those from a storage unit! Those were from hoarders who were trying to get extra money for capturing the "lost" scooter and then just bailed for whatever reason.

Sounds like you have a battery/bms issues. Remove the deck plate on the bottoms of the scooter. With this, you will gain access to the battery and mother board. At one end of the battery is your bms board.... does your bms board have a flashing light? If so, what color?

Brandon Largent just search M365 control panel and dashboard. They range from $10-$50 on eBay. Just depends on who’s selling it. The board that I use has 4 lights on top. Not the digital board. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
