- In this video you see me making a huge DIY electric scooter with a car wheel as rear tire.
For the previous project a bought a set of 4 Porsche rims and I only used 2, so I had still 2 spares. I found a motorcycle tire that fitted the 8.5 x 17" rim and so the project started.

It drives very well. Not that fast but nice and comfortable, and the hydraulic disc brake is more than powerful enough. I am planning to build a big battery for it because those chinese hoverboard batteries are a bit weak.
Technical details:
- 2x hoverboard motor 350w 36v
- 2x brushless controllers 350w 48v (BLDC) from Aliexpress
- 4x hoverboard battery 36v 4.4Ah
- topspeed 27 km/h
- tire size front 145/70 - 6 rear 210/50/17 on 8.5 x 17 rim
- frame built out of 30x60 square tube 2mm wall thickness

I wish i lived close to you, i would pay you to build me a modified attachment, a custom dual front wheel build, like the front end of an ATV, to help me get around faster in my wheelchair, so basically the attachments turns the wheelchair into a quadcycle _[the front castors / small wheels of the chair would be lifted up as part of how the attachment connects to the chair thus a modular mobility attachment device that turns the chair into a quadcycle.]_ You do such skilled, talented, clever quality work. I like it! I would add a fender to the rear wheel. Hit a puddle and you'll be drenched. Also, you could add a seat.

I would have added a guard to cover that back tire…way too close to your legs.

Thought the same and thought that moving wheel and his ass... not gonna be pretty dude.
I would have placed the big wheel in front and the small one in the back... that way you don't care about road holes that much...
It will be OK. Not everyone cares about safety. Besides, a little tire rub never hurt anyone .

you should put a fender on it to protect your calves and then you could also mount a seat on the fender

Now that is a scooter for a man, good job, I have no doubt that a lot of people would order one after watching this, if it were for me I would add a cover for the rear wheel , not all the wheel just to avoid some watering or accidental friction with my trousers.

I was thinking the same thing. I would have extended the frame and added a stool like seat to keep my entire body away from the tires grip. Awesome build.! 🤘🏼🤘🏼

awesome, you can also add a chair by attaching metal beams to the sides all the way to the back wheel holder metal beams on the left and right holding the wheels, the beams being tall enough you can weld a seat. so you will be sitting right on top of the wheel, but not the wheel itself, but the seat untop of the big wheel

I would of made it a little longer and a bit narrower and definitely put a little fender or some safety over that wheel
incredible protype. some EUC motors, suspension, fenders and seat could be added for the next generations. You could easily sell these or even rights to the design

I think that rotating a wheel with such a large mass will drain the battery more quickly. A larger tire contact area means more friction.

Need a tire guard to prevent accidents and maybe add a seat.
Add in 2 seat and front and back mudgud for safety purpose during wet road to avoid splashing to your back shirt,view and texs from your malaysia subscriber,staysafe besafe and pechout yo.....
If you fall on that moving wheel or hit a bump on the road while its moving.... your shredding your pants and atleast half your ass 😂.

You are great! Just two things. 1. That front wheel doesn’t fit to the rest, it’s so “agricultural “. 2. What is the weight of that beast?
but you must make a protection so that the rear wheel does not rub against the doors

love the design super cool. one suggestion though, if you can put a safety removable wheel hub (half) enough to protect your feet or a piece of your jeans or pants get caught by the wheel. overall awesome design...

As it is, without fender it's just unsafe to use. The concept though, much safer on the road compared to regular sized wheels scooters at the same speed.

That thing looks like it will neuter you. I am sure I would fall sitting down on that and getting my squirrel ripped off in that little gap, needs fender.

With ATB’s with 2 wheel sizes the larger wheels is always in front to help clear holes and steps. Don’t fall back on that big rubberized high traction flywheel. Just because it’s possible to build doesn’t make it sensible.
Also that looks like a non DOT snow blower tire in front. There’s way more voids than lugs which has terrible grip on hard surfaces

Not practical, but looks cool. Low torque with not so high speed - it will roll nice downhill, fine on straight but uphill it wont go at all with such motors/setup. Swap hoverboard motors to something more capable and perhaps add seat above rear wheel - it will look even cooler imo. After that it should be fun piece to ride
this just the protype, if he decides to mass produce no doubt some upgrades will occur
If there was a scooter screaming for a seat, this is that one. Dont know what kind of mileage your going to get with that big tire.

Why does the tire look rounded like that. Would it normally be flat under the weight of a car? Are they made that way to compensate for the shortness of the wall?

The point of the scooter is to be under control with weight. The scooter that is under the weight of the rider is the one most easily under control of the rider. The stance and size in this build it over the top. He builds such a sturdy scooter but his feet are in jail slippers. LOL.

1，your legs are way too close to the running rear wheel. 2, the battery bank power supply feels too small to power up this heavy scooter. nevertheless, this is a beautiful piece, very nice made
