Just bought one today! FABULOUS! Have hardly taken it higher than Eco mode and easily cruzed at 15 MPH with NO back pain, leg pain, I could actually talk unwinded for the entire 2 hour ride with my wife! Went easily and without a moment of strain, to 22 mph and held it there for a good 5 minutes +! I also have a very nice Specialized non-electric, that looks and rides like brand new. I LOVE it...going up for sale soon if you know anyone interested!
After test riding over 20 bikes this is a good value.
Nice review on the Vado.... it is a fun bike ..... to ride.....
Great review! Which color combination is the one you test rode?
How many red lights did you blow through in this video?
How does it compare to the Como?
You should have showed what a pain it is to remove and replace the battery in the compartment.
Nice review. Thanks. Quick question - does the number of speeds matter on a ebike? Does it matter you are on a low gear or high gear once the motor takes over?
Yes it does! Mid drive motors perform best when you're shifting properly, since they do leverage the gear set. Even on hub motor electric bikes, you still need to shift gears since the motor does not do all the work. You don't need a huge number of gears, 10 is a nice sweet spot for E bikes.
M Sato yes it matters....
@@nycewheels Hi. Is there any difference between 2019 and 2020 models? And what type/brands motor has the Vado 3.0
what the difference between Vado 3.0 2020 and 2019 besides the price?
What's with the weird rack and max 25 pound payload?
Spot on review bro. I like that bike. It should come with a larger capacity battery though for $3400. They nailed it with the color scheme and design. That front fender does look a little funky, odd no?
They have the 5.0 and 6.0 models with larger batteries. The fender does look odd, but works really well. Thanks for the kind words!

So it's an NYC or Chicago city bike? Have you tried it on hills? Not necessarily SF hills, but good honest hills. 10-12% grade.
When are the 2020 Vado 3.0 coming?
Ordered one yesterday in Germany.
Are you allowed to go on red in NY?
So this store closed in 2019 and left all it's customers in a lurch?
Do these have a throttle? or only pedal assist?
Oh yeah 😎? Only Class 1 ebikes have No throttle. Both Class 2 and 3 have throttles.
Tempted updrage to this.
Не нравится мне как у него цепь при езде болтается...... И ход у вилки - будто её сломали :(
🚴♀️♥️♥️🚴♀️🚴♂️
the battery is 450Wh not 460Wh the battery is 12.4Amp mulitply Amp x volt that is 450Wh
i have this bike but the battery is not 460w but 450w if you calculate and use math then the math becomes 450w battery but 10w means nothing in difference
In the uk it’s limited to 15mph 🤔absolutely crazy
Absolutely evil. God I hate this shit about my country, evil devil politicians getting huge bungs from Esso to strangle e bikes at birth.
I think there are apps to hack the top speed, but it voids the warranty. I'm not sure if that varies from bike to bike or not.
@@canadianroot You can fit a widge on the rear of the bike for certain motors, but they tend to have a plastic internal rotor that can 'wear out' at high torque.
@@sandydennylives1392 Ah, I wasn't aware of that. It really seems like a risk getting anything other than the stock bike, I guess.
canadianroot Yep!!! There is a device you can buy to remove the speed restricter. The beauty of this device is that it defaults to limited mode, Until you switch it off. The bike is amazing once the limited speed is removed, the only point to note is, that in city traffic, speeds of up to 20mph are more comfortable, re stopping time, and the dreaded jay walkers, who pop out from nowhere.
Hmm, did you run a red light at 6:21, or is there a right of way for cyclists?
Nothing.
Why are you breaking all of the Rules of the Roads? Just ask'n....
Piece of garbage .. 3400 and made at 350 total..
Kind of annoying with a lot of these reviews, is that the noise level isn't mentioned or shown. What's the point of showing video of the reviewer actually cycling and then just speaking on top of it? A bike is a bike is a bike. You sit on a saddle and pump the pedals.
