Since my son was born, I don't have any time to play Oblivion anymore, instead I had the pleasant surprise to discover your videos, this little drop of nostalgia always hits right. So we're enjoying your content together, mother and son, thank you 🤗
I’m really glad to hear it! It’s nice to have that itch scratched for sure! I appreciate the whole family’s support and hope the videos continue to entertain you guys! :)
I always start collecting calipers and tongs in Oblivion from the beginning, because that particular quest is so memorable for me. It's the same for mugs in Fallout: New Vegas. I gotta have mugs to give to Muggy.
Not sure if you knew or if it’s for funnies but in case anyone doesn’t - the first quest from Amiable - his name is Ay-Me-Uh-Bull and it’s a word that means friendly or agreeable!
To be fair, it fits with this being the shivering Isles. Strange names and strange speech is par the course for madness! Strange pronunciation isn’t too far out there here!
Did you know that theirs two Fighter's Clubs in Oblivion and no I'm not talking about the Fighters Guild. That pirate faction in Anvil with Hauls-Ropes-Faster and Thurindil, those two fight each other every week at 10 PM, and the Fighters Club in New Sheoth is called the Duelist, and the members are: Caldana Monrius, Cutter, Ma'zaddha, Muuine, and Ushnar gro-Shadborgob.
I happened upon hauls-rope-faster and thurindil duking it out on my current playthrough as a hand to hand heavy armor breton and thought to myself "😮... what in the nine is going on here?" 😂
god i love the shivering isles so much, i go to the door before you get the quest that you heard a rumor. sorry martin and everybody else but sheogorath needs me
God i love oblivion it was my first violent game i ever played and seeing your vids reminds me so much of all the time i spent exploring dungeon diving and collecting all armor sets and weapons thank you 😊: Edit i love the dlcs especially knights of the nine cause it gives more lore behind the aylieds and how the divine directly intervined
I have only played Skyrim. Until very recently, I wondered how so many players on the subreddit were well-versed on the lore of Pelinel Whitestrake! Once I watched the Bard's "Knights of the Nine" DLC videos, the mystery was solved.
Great video. I've always had trouble with the Fork quest. The biggest reason being that Big Head has some bugged AI where he tends to pick fights that get him killed before I ever get to do the quest.
It's astonishing, that Earil gives me vibes of 3 completely different memes. Taxidermy with *CHUCK TESTA* (But then it turns out he thinks of himself being a chronomancer) "I will display you with the rest in my collection." aka "YOUR LIGHTSABERS WILL MAKE A FINE ADDITION TO MY COLLECTION!" "Do hurry... Time's wasting." aka "Time's money, friend!"
Just found your channel and I love it!! I have so many memories of playing this game and seeing this just made smile for the first time in a while. Looking forward to watch your videos ❤
Another lovely video ❤, but now you need to do a mega mega cut of the shivering isles story and the side quests all in one massive video for those of us who just can't get enough!
I’ve tried playing oblivion- I love the skill mechanics and level up system but I can’t find myself playing it for very long- I enjoy watching people play it and explain the lore- I was really happy when I found a mod for Skyrim and implemented a similar leveling system to oblivion
I love this!! Thanks. I hope you keep making oblivion content for a long time! The way you explain things is very helpful for listening without watching the video. I throw these on in the background while I game
The shivering Isles was such a fever dream. Still one of the best DLC ever made, from the company that also made the first shit dlc that ruined gaming.
Interesting! I didn’t know that! It honestly could! I followed what the unofficial elder scrolls wiki was telling me were quests but I would consider that one too!
32:31 He will also be there if you haven't talked to him beforehand and push him off then, starting the quest right then only needing to pick up the quest rewards next.
@@drewgoin8849 Kind of, yes. It's also in TES 3 Morrowind, tied to a quest to "find a lost dwemer air ship" ...It crashed in TES 3 already when you find it on Solstheim.
Breton’s typically have French names, Amiable is a French word (meaning the same thing in English) I do believe my pronunciation was probably more correct than “Am-ee-uh-bull” lol

Once your son is old enough play the game with them…there are worse core memories to pass down.
Hopefully your son will be able to play it soon, then you can have the enjoyment of their first time as well
My son is 8, and he loves watching me play games.
He'll think you're the coolest dad ever doing a playthrough with him watching.
This is one of the most underrated channels imo. I love Oblivion, and love Oblivion UA-camrs, simple as
In case anyone's wondering, horripilation is the feeling you have when your hairs stand on end.
I had to look it up the other day. I wish I had first seen your comment!

Those collectibles quests can be VERY aggravating if a player hasn't learned to preemptively gather the necessary items early on in playthroughs.
Oh my godddd yes lol Muggy!!! What a fantastic side character he is
🎉

As soon as I heard it I went looking to see if people noticed
To be fair, it fits with this being the shivering Isles. Strange names and strange speech is par the course for madness! Strange pronunciation isn’t too far out there here!
I never did many side quests in shivering isles but every one of the npcs I’ve seen in this video is hilarious 😂

I didn’t know about the pirates! That’s pretty wicked! I did know about the duelists! I was surprised to see there wasn’t more content with them!
Can you watch them fight and get hand-to-hand levels? Or is that only for the prospective gladiators in the Arena?
@@TheKingOfJordan1 Yes you can, but they don't give skill rewards.

What a nice treat. Thanks for posting this, I listen to your videos in the background while I read literature for my research.
I hope you enjoy it and good luck with the research! :)
god i love the shivering isles so much, i go to the door before you get the quest that you heard a rumor. sorry martin and everybody else but sheogorath needs me
😂 definitely a more entertaining beginning to the game than the main quest!
I stumbled upon your channel the other day and i just been watching your videos back to back. your channel is simply peak.

Loved listening to this at work today. Thanks for putting together these videos! I enjoyed learning about the hill of sacrifices!
I would love an oblivion remaster
Apparently one might be coming out sooner than later!
@@ABardsBallad if I can get an oblivion remaster or elder scrolls 6 before I'm dead I'll be satisfied LOL starfield just did not do it for me
Skyblivion is made

Oh my god I've been having the worst day and this notification immediately made it better!! I love your vids on the shivering isles DLC so much haha
Hopefully this will make your day better and I appreciate the support! :)
40:40
this quest is one that lets you get into a powerlevel loop
equip and unequip the amulet of disintegration, repair your items, rinse repeat
Another channel to fall asleep too, I enjoy the long videos
Great video. I've always had trouble with the Fork quest. The biggest reason being that Big Head has some bugged AI where he tends to pick fights that get him killed before I ever get to do the quest.
I remember my first playthrough he started a huge brawl and i figured it was part of a quest i hadnt found yet, but nope just oblivion jank😂
Absolute mad lad, you deliver yet another
😂 hope you enjoy it! :)
Top shelf content like always Bard. Thank you for all your hard work that goes into these videos!
I appreciate everyone’s continued support! What a dream come true! :)
Your videos are a new obsession of mine😂 so delightful, and really like being transported to another world for a little while. Thank you!
That’s amazing to hear! I hope you enjoy them and thank you for the continued support! :)

"I will display you with the rest in my collection." aka "YOUR LIGHTSABERS WILL MAKE A FINE ADDITION TO MY COLLECTION!"

Youre right to call that a liberal amount of Gold.
That mer acted like he was giving you an ebony sword with health drain when it really wasnt much

So npcs in the Shivering Isles are either the sweetest people ever or absolute assholes. Got it
Very true lol
Mania and Dementia.
Great video as always! And you're almost to the big 10k too!
We’re super close! Appreciate the continued support my friend! :)

1:19:53 Now THAT'S a sound bite worthy of clipping!
I was surprised how many things are on the roofs of crucible.
Think it was a nice nod to those of us who invested in agility, I loved jumping all over cyrodil and then jumping all over the shivering Isles
The shivering Isles was such a fever dream.
Still one of the best DLC ever made, from the company that also made the first shit dlc that ruined gaming.
not sure if this counts as non journal quest, in Dire Warren you will find a dead body with a journal and a unique weapon, and also a hostile npc
Interesting! I didn’t know that! It honestly could! I followed what the unofficial elder scrolls wiki was telling me were quests but I would consider that one too!

Wow ty for this upload
Hope you enjoyed it! :)
Been waiting for this one :)
I hope you enjoyed it! :)
Dumag gro-Bonk has the same energy as Brick from Borderlands 2 Tiny Tina Dlc
I think Fanriene is my favourite character in the entire game. Closely followed by saweeetroll who is also here. Good times.
32:31 He will also be there if you haven't talked to him beforehand and push him off then, starting the quest right then only needing to pick up the quest rewards next.
Ungor not being crazy... well that's why he's crazy.
You’re spoiling us xD
You folks deserve it! :)
i used to love this expansion so so so much, but now i genuinely cannot listen to the dialogue from it without getting irrationally angry
Fimmion reminds me of my in laws
cheese for everyoneee
“Come again soon or I’ll PLUCK your eyes out” - the goat, uncle sheo
I never do the quest in Split. I find their predicament too funny
Okay, dumb question. Is the gibberish that elf speaks related to any language in reality? I highly doubt it, but I can dream

According to this video, M'desi is one of the ghosts on the Hill of Suicides.
Am I mistaken in thinking there's also someone by that name in Skyrim?
Alright, who is going to tell Tove the Unrestful about the Dwemer airship?
Are you referring to the wrecked one's remains at Moestring Pass on Solstheim ("Dragonborn" DLC)?

FORKIE!!!
That fork is the best weapon in the game 👀
Why did you wildly mispronounce amiable? Did you mistake it for a real first name instead of just a descriptor for the guy?
Breton’s typically have French names, Amiable is a French word (meaning the same thing in English) I do believe my pronunciation was probably more correct than “Am-ee-uh-bull” lol
Hold up damn!! What mods are you running lol
No mods! Pure vanilla! :)

Is Pyke's dialogue different if you're also a Knight of the Thorn?
Best part 😂 1:59:03
Would stealing Cindanwe's stuff make a difference? 1:28:05
Sweetroll for fimmion. Yummy in tummy. Saaweet rolllll

The shivering isles killed my will to keep playing this game too. No one blames you if you switch up content
