    According to Doctor Andrew Huberman, Stanford neuroscientist and buff dude, we should wait at least 60-90 minutes between waking up and having coffee. I like that the video is realistic. Consistently good is better than being perfect once a week.
    One other reason I like morning workouts is because I can delay it to later in the day if something comes up. Can't do that if I plan for it in the evening. So planning things in the morning ensures I won't miss a workout.

    At 38 years old I've finally clicked with the morning workout. It's amazing. With family and kids it became stressful to try and do it around tea and bedtime for kids, which meant you only had to have one thing go wrong and the workout is out the window. Now I go to bed a little bit earlier and up at 6am, hit the gym (after a coffee and banana) and then home for 7.15 for breakfast. Boom!! Feel great for the whole day then.

  • @Theo-ul8qm
    @Theo-ul8qm 9 місяців тому

    Loved this video!
    I just want to add a point on having a training partner. All the benfits that Brandon mentioned in the video are indeed valid. However, I've found that you do need to be careful when training with a partner about your recovery. Very rarely do 2 people have exactly the same recovery needs. So, sometimes, your partner may be ready to train again amd you may not be, or vice versa. Not saying to avoid training with a partner, but just to keep this aspect in mind.
    Personally, I have a few different people I train with occasionally, but I also train alone sometimes. Make sure to listen to your body and not train if you're not properly recovered.

      I really like these guys and their content. They sprinkled in a couple nods to family time etc. but I don't think they live in the real world. I'm up at 5:30AM to get ready for work and get there at 7AM. I'm there until I get home at 4:30-5PM. Helping around the house, meal prep, kids, getting them to bed by 7:30-8PM. Ok. Now. If I set up a morning routine to even get 30 minutes of workout in plus maybe 15 minutes of stretching so I don't pull something, that means I need to get up at 4:30AM at the latest. So if I get proper sleep at around 8 hours that means I need to be in bed by the time my kids go to sleep. I really don't want to be making excuses but seriously. Us average Joes don't have this kind of time.

Then 1 hour calisthenics, 30 minutes vinyasa yoga & cold shower, then a cup of green tea, a banana and my special overnight oats with some 10 ingredients inside: oats, cocoa, pollen, Brazil nuts or cashews, sunflower & pumpkin seeds - all this thoroughly grounded in the coffee grinder + brewer's yeast flakes, chia, peanut butter, chunks of dried figs or goji berries, some honey, kefir and a generous serving of skyr for proteins, all this thoroughly mixed, stirred and left to mature overnight. Almost a main meal indeed. By 6:30 am. ready to start the day.

    As a dad of a 3 year old my pro tip? Make your coffee the night before and chug that som’bich at room temp. No waiting for anything, just get rolling asap. And remember fellas, it’s YOUR time. I’ve realized getting up at 4:430 every day to wake the pups, workout, get ready for work and fire on all cylinders all before the kiddo and wife are up / full routine starts is worth more than gold. I look forward to it so much. Buff Dude plans make it even better!

    One question, making the coffee the first thing in the morning isnt a bad thing? I heard it once that it causes damage to your stomach so yo should take it after eating something.

    Love the way the video keeps it real. Instantly reminded me of my younger brother and my gym bud both of whom are now at long distance and its been ages that i have exercised. and the kid thing is absolutely on point as well. Phew vid made me want to get things back on track.

    Is that Dr. Squatch soap? Looks like one of their soap holders.

    I usually do my workouts late at night, because I found out that my body responds better around those hours.
