Even as a child I could sit fully immersed in these songs and visualize every word and feel every emotion that I’d hardly had a chance to even experience in my own life yet. But I could feel it like I had been there before. I find it sad growing older that my expectations for music were set so high that I took these songs for granted, and have only been let down by 90% of the crap I’ve heard in my 30 years. Hey, oh
Sheets of empty canvas
Untouched sheets of clay
Were laid spread out before me
As her body once did
All five horizons
Revolved around her soul
As the earth to the sun
Now the air I tasted and breathed
Has taken a turn
Oh and all I taught her was everything
Oh I know she gave me all that she wore
And now my bitter hands
Chafe beneath the clouds
Of what was everything
Oh the pictures have
All been washed in black
Tattooed everything
I take a walk outside
I'm surrounded by
Some kids at play
I can feel their laughter
So why do I sear
Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin
Round my head
I'm spinning
Oh, I'm spinning
How quick the sun can, drop away
And now my bitter hands
Cradle broken glass
Of what was everything
All the pictures have
All been washed in black
Tattooed everything
All the love gone bad
Turned my world to black
Tattooed all I see
All that I am
All that I'll be, yeah
Uh huh, uh huh, oh
I know someday you'll have a beautiful life
I know you'll be a star
In somebody else's sky
But why
Why
Why can't it be
Oh can't it be mine

I actually think he looks better here
@@cedericocosantorini8013 He's only 36 here, Jesus Christ
I happen to love long hair on sexy men, (so yummy), but his face pretty much looks the same. And he's still aging like fine wine even today. :-)
I'm 58 and have been listening to pearl jam since the album 10
O cara é fantástico, canta muito!
He's so attractive, wow.
Yes 😎
Yes yum
How can someone broke his heart if he's so handsome?
Eu amor essa banda
.....was a child model

Pearl Jam
Hey, oh
Sheets of empty canvas
Untouched sheets of clay
Were laid spread out before me
As her body once did
All five horizons
Revolved around her soul
As the earth to the sun
Now the air I tasted and breathed
Has taken a turn
Oh and all I taught her was everything
Oh I know she gave me all that she wore
And now my bitter hands
Chafe beneath the clouds
Of what was everything
Oh the pictures have
All been washed in black
Tattooed everything
I take a walk outside
I'm surrounded by
Some kids at play
I can feel their laughter
So why do I sear
Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin
Round my head
I'm spinning
Oh, I'm spinning
How quick the sun can, drop away
And now my bitter hands
Cradle broken glass
Of what…
It’s amazing lyrics . I am blown away that it was written so early in their career it’s very mature and wise for a younger person to write . I know they are geniuses but still that always blew me away .
Not even necessary to answer of what the broken glass was.
Cannabis..
Under sheets a plate.
These lyrics are definitely genius lyrics. I must say better than Cobain.
The lyric of this song really opens up one's freedom to make it anything their imaginations allow.
One of the saddest lines ever:
"I know someday you'll have a beautiful life
I know you'll be a star in somebody else's sky, but why
Why, why can't it be mine?"
Gets me every time.
that ALWAYS GETS ME!!!
Gets me too. This song makes me cry every time I hear it. The lyrics are so deep.
That hits me hard every time. Thank you for that. Everytime I hear it, I think about my first love, Yvette. She was my best friend and I'll never forget her. I love you Yvette.
@Jess Y'all are the damn best. I'm honored to have the kind of support that you show me, thank you. How are you doing it is nice meeting you here btw
My fav band forever and ever ❤❤❤❤❤ The best ❤❤❤❤
É incrível como essa música mexe com o Eddie Vedder, até o semblante dele muda; ele entrega tudo que ele pode, com muito sentimento.
Como está diferente, aí...Nem reconheci ...😊 Acho qye estava clean...😊😂😂😂
i love watching him and chris cornell so much and now that we've lost chris , Eddie is the most important person in the whole world now.

I grew up on this music I'll be 40 years old in February. Thinking back if I had a penny for every time I listen to this I'd be a millionaire. It never gets old and he'll always be a hunk
Best song ever written! ❤️❤️❤️

Omg, he's perfect🖤🖤🖤
I try not to listen to this song but once every few years...it's something you hold close to your heart and when I'm 80 I will remember the emotions and feelings of my youth.
Epoc sem explicação sempre vai brilhar ❤😂

Magnificent Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam, a sunny day, crowd surfing.
Looks like one hell of a good time to me.

He was born in Evanston, Il. St. Francis hospital. Same as me and yes we age well.
@@miked51 hey. How's Illinois doing? I used to live in Chicago and Schaumburg, now living in Florida. I never thought I'd miss the cold weather but I actually do. Florida is too freaking hot, with no seasons..😁
@@prettyyoungthingpyt5015 Illinois is lost. The politics. Chicago is beautiful but is not perfect. Funny, I have lived many places and always return to my city. We can experience three seasons in one day. Peace and Love.
